I liked this cosy but complicated romance - although not as much as My Life Next Door. Perhaps it was just not quite what I expected.

I had this downloaded for ages and don’t get round to reading it. Thought I might be a bit old for this now but booktok convinced me otherwise. And whist I agree I am probably not the target audience it was an enjoyable read. A cosy warm light hearted romance book. I do like this author and would recommend.

Huntley Fitzpatrick's The Most Likely To is an adorable, emotional and romantic read. I quite liked it - I found Alice and Tim to be interesting characters, and enjoyed their character arcs. I sometimes found it difficult to decipher whose chapter was whose, but overall it was a decent read.

A decent addition to the Huntley Fitzpatrick's collection. But probably not my favourite of her titles as it felt a little slower than the others.

I read a couple of the chapters and I wasn't interesting in continuing. Just didn't like the characters or where the story was heading so, I ended up DNFing. Sadly, it wasn't for me.

I loved this even more than the first in the series. It was great getting to know the characters better and seeing more of the Garratt family. I loved the romance in this book as well as the fact that it dealt with real and hard topics

I enjoyed this more than its predecessor. I enjoyed all the characters much more in this book. It goes through some difficult topics such as addiction and cheating in regards to school.

This book was one that I really enjoyed, however my copy from Netgalley was unreadable due to the download format, however, I really enjoyed this book. Huntley Fitzpatrick has a great style of writing and this book drew me in immediately.

I was looking forward to this book after immensely enjoying the first installment My Life Next Door. After being unable to get around to reading it for some time, when I finally started it the book failed to really keep my attention.
I never really connected with the characters, despite meeting them both from the first book. Tim was a hot mess, which we kind of knew from the first book, but the story didn't really offer me any avenue to end up caring for the characters. Instead I felt kind of overwhelmed with everything that was happening for Tim and Alice, and while I appreciate the themes the author wanted to explore here, it just felt like too much was packed in, and not much was fleshed out.

As I was looking for a light fluffy contemporary read, this probably wasn't one to fit the bill, and I'll admit perhaps my mood wasn't right when I attempted to read this. Alongside that I really felt the romance was lacking. I generally like a slow-building romance and have nothing against that, but for me I feel there was just not enough interaction between Tim and Alice in general. Although there were some sweet moments, there wasn't enough for me to really feel the same way as I did for Jase and Sam, which was a disappointment.

I admit I probably didn't give it enough time but I tried for weeks to continue this and kept putting it down for other more compelling reads. Unfortunately for me this book really missed the mark for me and I struggled to really get into it witch led to me sadly dropping this book before I reached the end.

I would like to thank Huntley Fitzpatrick & Egmont Publishing for my copy of the ARC, due to this kind gesture I have decided to leave a review.

I really actually don't know what to write.. the story really wasn't for me, I was really bored and found myself skim reading the whole thing. It because extremely predictable.

I would usually go on an on, and tell you a bit about the book but I just found it extremely boring. This is the first thing I have read of Huntley Fitzpatrick so I shall not give up! Unfortunately, this just wasn't my bag!

I won't waste your time writing a long review because I hate to rip apart writers work, I know how hard they work to write a book and loads of people loved this. If we were, all the same, the world would be a boring place!

"Aw Alice, I swear I'll be there to soothe your regret for wasting time once you realize I've been right for you all along." Tim, I'd chew you up and spit you out."

I really liked this and thought it was an interesting and complex look at teenage relationships. It well deserves comparisons to Rainbow Rowell. Really good.

I thought at times it was very cliche but it was still good and I liked the characters in this better than the first book in this series.

Struggled to get further than the first few pages. The plot sounded great but getting into the story was another thing!

The Boy Most Likely To is a wonderful contemporary romance that I just couldn't put down. It's sort of a sequel to My Life Next Door, though the main characters are different so it can potentially be read as a standalone. It does start right from where My Life Next Door left off, though.

If you've read My Life Next Door you'll already know the characters pretty well when it comes to The Boy Most Likely To. I just loved Tim even more than I did before. He's just so determined to turn his life around and he really steps up. Even when he is completely blindsided by a major twist around 30% into the story (I will not give this away!).

Alice was just fantastic. I just loved that although she acts so tough and sure of herself, she really does have confidence issues. It makes her more relatable. I also loved that she cares so much about Tim that she refuses to take any sh*t from him. The way Alice takes control of the family whilst her dad recovers is also extremely admirable and shows just how tight-knit the Garretts are. I do not envy her task at all, though.

I loved revisiting all the secondary characters too. George and Patsy are just so adorable. And Patsy's obsession with Tim is just so cute! Especially when she gets jealous of Alice. I just wish there was a bit more of Sam and Jase in the story, but then again, their story has already been told.

The Boy Most Likely To is told via the alternating first-person perspectives of Tim and Alice. I did like this, however, it was hard to judge when there was a perspective change as often there was no warning. It was still nice to get inside their heads, though. I did find their story a bit predictable. I had guessed the plot twist near the beginning (there are clues) and I was bang on. However, the plot twist near the end was just heartbreaking - it could have gone either way. The ending is really just so bittersweet.

I did find the pace of The Boy Most Likely To a bit slow sometimes. At 496 pages, it's a very long book for a contemporary and I sort of felt that a lot of it was just filler. However, I was hooked all the same and could not put it down.

The Boy Most Likely To is a fantastic read and I can't believe I waited so long after reading My Life Next Door to read this. I definitely recommend these books to fans of Contemporary YA and I will definitely be keeping my eye out for more by Huntley Fitzpatrick. I want more Garrett family!

I really enjoyed My Life Next Door by this author (review on Me, My Books and I) so I just couldn't resist finding out if I'd feel the same about The Boy Most Likely To which is a companion read.

Getting to know Tim a little bit better at the beginning of the book was an eye-opener, it was clear that he had made some bad life choices. He had an attitude which I'm sure would irritate me in real life but in a book I absolutely love characters with sass, they're so much fun to read.

I liked catching up with the characters from My Life Next Door, it kind of felt like an update from old friends. Alice's household was still crazy and reminded me of the big-family madness in my own home.

The chemistry between Tim and Alice was exciting to read, I didn't care that I could see where it was headed because I was enjoying the journey to get to that point. Then came a shocking announcement that I knew would complicate the journey. I'm fairly sure I gasped out loud as I read it but I'm not entirely sure because I was so caught up in the moment!

The complication caused a mixture of emotional, dramatic and sometimes even funny scenes. This was a twist that I really hadn't expected but thoroughly enjoyed.

The Boy Most Likely To took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions and surprises. A wonderful read.

Another fantastic book by Huntley Fitzpatrick, this was by far my favourite of all her books!

After previously loving My Life Next Door and What I Thought Was True, I was really, really looking forward to a new book by Huntley Fitzpatrick. It was with great excitement that I requested this book for review. However, when I finally did sit down to read this book ... I felt it was really heavy going :( I wanted this book to be light and engaging as the other two books by the same author were. Unfortunately, this book didn't feel like light, romantic reading ... it felt weighed down by the beginning, by the weight of feeling on the main character's shoulders. And with that weight I found myself uninterested to pick this book up again and carry on to see if I would enjoy it more farther into the book.
