Title & Author: One Of Us Is Guilty - Steve Cavanagh
Rating:4.5 stars
Genre:legal thriller
Release: 30th July
Publisher: Headline

Centred on a high profile murder case involving a politician, his wife, and his dead mistress.
This clever, twist filled legal thriller kept me second guessing till the end. My first Eddie Flynn novel proved that the series works brilliantly as a standalone. The plot is sharp, tense, and packed with surprises, balancing courtroom drama with plenty of action and wit.
Eddie himself is a fantastic lead character: a former con artist turned lawyer who is determined to defend only the innocent, even if he occasionally bends the rules to get there. His partnership with Harry Ford also deserves a mention.
One of my favourite aspects was never quite knowing who to trust. I constantly changed my mind about whether the defence or prosecution was hiding the truth. There are a lot of moving parts, but that's part of what makes the mystery so addictive.
If you're a fan of courtroom battles and morally grey characters, this one is well worth picking up. As a huge fan of The Lincoln Lawyer, I couldn't help noticing some similarities between the two series, which greatly added to my enjoyment.
I'll definitely be going back to start with book one.
Thank you to Steve Cavanagh and Headline Publishing Group for the ARC.
