Wow!!! This book was hot, hot, hot!!

I didn't read any of the books before this, but I was kinda of able to put together the gist of the story. I would definitely recommend reading this series from the beginning.

The d'Argent vampire clan is on the hunt for Louis Reynard, the 1000 year old vampire who is on a mortal killing spree. He's killing anyone resembling Alina, the queen of the d'Argent clan who turned him down to be his mate. That means any blond who comes his way.

Mara Leone, a Miami Beach police officer, is assigned to the homicides taking place in her city. Knowing that a vampire is responsible for these crimes hits close to home. She had a vampire lover 12 years ago that was killed by hunters when he accidentally killed a mortal one night. Since then, she's become cold and closed off to everyone she meets.

Alexandre d'Argent is tasked to kill Reynard once and for all. When he crosses paths with the feisty cop the 300 year old vampire just might have found his mate, that is if he can keep her safe.

A must read!
