Sadly despite an updated arc, it still needed editing further. Sections that have been written twice, the second time with updates make the reading experience disjointed!
If you love marriage in trouble romances with a quirky sci-fi edge, this one's worth picking up.

Sometimes the best reading experiences happen when you go in completely blind, and that’s exactly what happened here. The Romance Revival ended up being nothing like I expected but in the best way. This quirky, unique second chance romance blends love, STEM, a sci-fi twist, and even a little mystery. It follows scientist Emery, who’s married to her top secret job and keeping huge secrets from her laid back lovely Italian landscaper husband, Luca. After an accident turns everything upside down, they’re forced to find their way back to each other. It definitely requires a healthy suspension of disbelief, but once I embraced that, I was more than happy to go along for the ride.
I flew through this one and had such a fun time with it. I loved the dual POV, the marriage in trouble and amnesia elements, and watching Emery and Luca rebuild their relationship. Betty, the wonderfully nosy neighbour, completely stole every scene she appeared in, Annie and Crash were the ultimate ride or die best friends, and Honey the dog was adorable.
The title is perfect (although I’m still not entirely convinced by the cover!), and while the plot leans into the implausible at times, the heart and humour more than made up for it. I’d recommend this to readers looking for a light hearted romance with an unusual twist that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Thank you to the authors and publisher for the ARC.
This was such a fun, feel good read!
