Intriguing start…

The beautiful cover and the author caught my attention right away. This story had an intriguing plot – secret program where soldier’s DNA was being altered to produce super soldiers for the good of the country. Enter a feisty journalist and anything could happen…

And it sure did… Sooo much. I actually have false-started this read a number of times, trying to find a reading groove. Good guys, oh so bad guys. Romantic entanglements. Surprise family. Surprise… so much! In fact, so much, that it seemed too much at times. I love a busy storyline – keeping up with it all is half the fun – yet I felt pulled in many directions here. Perhaps just a few too many…

A slightly shaky start but I admit I’m curious where this is going. I’m hoping it was just not the right time to pick up this book because this series has all the elements to be stellar… I will read the next for sure with nervous anticipation…

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

Genetically enhanced soldiers? Check. The ability to know your mate immediately? Check. A storyline that's guaranteed to keep me reading for several installments? Check.

I really liked this foray into The Program and the way its soldiers match with their mates. It was hot and sweet and kept me on my toes. I was excited to see how everything was going to pan out and how Adam and Loren were going to make it work, since they were both pretty strongly opposed to being matched. I'm also very excited about how Chase and Gavin are going to do now that it seems they've met their matches.

This is a good series and an enjoyable premise. Will definitely keep reading.

I am afraid this book was not for me, I find it hard to get into or like the characters so I will not be able to leave a full review.
