THE GRIND by Kristen Kehoe was such an amazing read, I literally could not put it down, the characters in this book will grab a hold of your heart and run away with it.

I don't know if I have the right words to describe how amazing this book was, the way the author wrote the story will have you in tears after the first chapter and then crying again near the end. The characters in this book are wonderfully written and the author makes it very easy for us to fall in love with Hunter and Isabel and fall in love right along with them.

Hunter Jackson is at the highest in his skateboarding career, on top of the world, that is until his world comes crashing around him when he is called home when his mom falls ill. For family Hunter puts his life on hold to stay home and take care of his mother and make sure that his sister is able to continue her schooling, this what he knows is best for everyone. Hunter re-establishes his business of buying and flipping houses, and since his foreman (Brooklyn main character from book one) has left him he hires a new one, what he didn't count on was that hire to be a women, Isabel. Isabel is a women after my own heart, she is strong willed and wont take no crap from any one, let alone a man. Isabel and Hunter are like oil and water together, they fight constantly and very rarely agree on anything, so when they cross a line of boss and employee things are likely to get messy. I love the back and forth between Hunter and Isabel, it makes for a weird and wonderful relationship at the same time, if that makes any sense at all. The suspense at the end of the book will have you on pins and needles and wondering till the end of the book if Hunter and Isabel will be together.

THE GRIND by Kristen Kehoe is book two in The Vert series, and book one is a must read as the characters from book one are also in book two but let me tell you both book one and The Grind are worth the read and should move to the top of your to read list. I would give THE GRIND 5/5 stars.
