A stunning and heartfelt YA book about Lucille, a seventeen year old girl with a terrible family situation, having to look after her younger sister and assume adult responsibilities. They're both brilliant characters, with Wren, the little sister being a particular 'light' in the story. Twins Eden and Digby, Lucille's best friends, offer wider storylines that are well weaved together. I absolutely loved this novel and didn't want it to end.
