"A little sugar, a lot of love" sounded like a cute little romance with a Christmas setting and I was looking forward to the story.
Katie is running a bakery, which is one of my favourite settings, and I would have loved to see all the amazing cakes she is baking. First I was a bit disappointed that the story is not only set at Christmas time but several different occasions throughout the year but in the end I found it quite interesting.
Still I had the feeling that this was only a collection of these different occasions and for me something was missing to make this an enjoyable read. I felt that the story was pretty jumpy and I was missing about important things between the different settings and times. This made the story feel very distant to me and I couldn't connect with the characters. I really liked Adams daughter though, she was really cute and lighting up the story.
The love story was ok but it missed a lot on the emotional side, so unfortunately this book was only an average book to me.

This is a light read. The characters were likable and the story was fun to follow. It felt a little more predictable and rom-com than I tend to like to read, but if a reader enjoys that, this would fit well in your shelf.
