Road trip stories aren't usually my favorite but I'll read anything by Jay Crownover. She does an excellent job of bringing Dixie and Church to life. I was immediately hooked and rooting for their happily ever after!

I enjoyed *most* of Dixie and Church's story. Some of it was ridiculous and I could have done without for sure. But Church is awesome so I'll deal. Didn't love it as much as Built, but enjoyed it more than Charged. I definitely read it quickly which is usually the sign of an addictive book.

This sadly was a DNF for me but I will continue on with this series. We have attached a promo -only link below.

3.5 STARS
I love this series and I was so excited to read this but for some reason I didn't feel like in the previous books. It wasn't bad, I just couldn't feel the connection with the characters.
My main problem was Dixie.Even though there were moments I liked her most of the time she was getting on my nerves.
I can't wait for the next book!!

Jay Crownover has this amazing ability to make you feel like you've known her characters all your life. She doesn't just write story lines that you connect with, she writes characters that you love. Ones that you want to spend time with and get to know better. That instant connection was not lost in Riveted.
Church is one of the good guys, he just doesn't know it. Shouldering the blame for too many things has turned him into someone that even he doesn't recognize. He doesn't get too close to anyone and he keeps his story, and his secrets, close to the vest.
Dixie is sunshine in a bottle. She only sees the good in people and she loves life. Being around her is like the perfect spring day. Full of warmth and joy. When the man that she's been harboring a secret crush for for years asks for a favor, she begins a journey that will change her life.
Dixie wants her HEA. She truly believes that everyone has a "person". That when you find the one you are meant to love that you just know. Church doesn't want to love. Doesn't think he's worthy of love. His demons are controlling his life, and his heart. Will Dixie be able to break down his walls?
I am such a huge Jay Crownover fan that I tend to struggle finding my words when it comes to her books. Riveted is that latest in the Saints of Denver series and, with each book I fall more in love with this group. They are honest and real and full of emotion. They make me wish I could live my life in their world. That I could crawl inside the pages in search of my own HEA.

"There is no such thing as darkness; only a failure to see"
Dixie is in love woth Church. He is probaby the most difficult man Jay Crownover has ever created. And she is tired of waiting for him to realise that they are perfect for each other.
But when he asks her to go to his hometown with him, she accepts immediately.
It isn't an easy reunion. Church has been away from his family for too long, trying to escape from his demons. This is Church's journey back home, both physically and emotionally.
And to make things even more complicated, this journey to the southern little town is even more difficult as they both are trying to fight against their mutual attraction.
I'm a Jay Crownover's unconditional reader. Her men are all incredible. Her books are connected somehow, which makes you look forward to reading the next one.
She is amazing writer and she is able to mix a romantic story, a thriiler and erotic scenes in only one book.

Wow! I really love this series by Jay Crownover! As with the others, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Church & Dixie finally find their HEA. It certainly wasn’t easy as Dixie already knew Church was her "one", but he definitely wasn’t looking for" the one", or anyone for that matter. He didn't feel he was worthy.
I loved their motorcycle road trip back to Church’s home in Mississippi so she can pretend to be his girl. That’s all Dixie wants, to be Dash’s girl. Reconnecting with his Dad, Elma and his brother as well as finally giving in to the attraction between him and Dixie, definitely seemed to be the push Dash needed to see all the good in his life.
The story itself is so well written and just so easy to fall into and get wrapped up in everything that is happening. And things do happen, exciting things; things that make you mad, cheer, swoon and yes even laugh. I love how he calls her pretty girl. It's just such a sweet endearment and it made me swoon every single time. Dixie had a tough time getting through to the always stoic Dash, but once she does, look out, it is absolutely breathtaking.
Favorite line: Dash to Dixie:
"But you have to know that you will always be the right girl for this completely wrong guy."
I can’t wait for the next book!
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Reviewed on B&N as KindleKat64 too.

I haven't read the previous titles in the Saints of Denver series and no way felt lost with the plot of this book so you can definitely read it as a standalone
Jay Crownover is the type of author that pulls you into her story, so that you feel like you're part of it. You empathize with the characters and you feel their pain and their emotions you cry tears for their losses and when they find their happiness your heart warms.
Ms Crownover has the ability to write tortured, wounded brooding alpha heroes that you are inexplicably drawn to and Church is no exception. Church's backstory is heartbreaking and his path to finding happiness is a roller coaster of emotion and ups and downs, intrigue and suspense. As a former soldier he's honorable and loyal to a fault.
I love Dixie she is sweet, sexy, caring and loyal to a fault to those she cares about most. Dixie is determined to find her happy ever after, and finds it in the most unlikely of places. Dixie is the epitome of a care taker, and she puts everyone else's needs before her own.
Church and Dixie's story captivated and enthralled from the very first page. Church and Dixie's story is told in a dual point of view and is a perfect blend of romance, heat, emotion and suspense. This is a story about finding hope and love and never taking those you care about most for granted. These characters are incredibly complex, endearing, relate-able and realistic. Their story is full of twists and turns that I didn't anticipate or see coming in the slightest.
The side characters are fabulous and just as like-able as the hero and heroine hopefully we get some of their stories in the future.
Another enjoyable read from Jay Crownover that I don't hesitate to recommend.

I think the Saints of Denver series has to be one of my favourite series by Jay Crownover. She really has come a long way from Rule and I enjoy her writing more now than before. Riveted is the third book in the Saints of Denver series and this is the story of Dixie and Church. I always like a good opposites attract kinda romance so I really enjoyed myself while reading this one.
Let's start with Dixie. Dixie was such a genuinely sweet and nice and loving heroine. She was the good girl who always looked out for everyone. Dixie always had a smile on her face and was ever ready to help a friend out in time of need. I really liked Dixie for all these qualities she possessed. Though Dixie had a good set of friends she longed for the forever kind of love. We get to see Dixie's dreams and aspirations along with her vulnerabilities.
Church on the other hand was a closed book. For him, Denver was a pit stop and he knows he's dragging his time out here for nothing but Dixie, knowing that he can't have her. He actually won't allow himself to have her because he thinks she deserves someone good and basically better than him. Church was a good man. He just had many issues and a horrible fear of losing the people he loved. He was a great guy for Dixie.
Church soon finds himself in a situation where he requires Dixie's help and he actually takes her to his home town. I loved the chemistry between Dixie and Church. Jay Crownover writes amazing romance and Dixie and Church's love story was one to swoon over. I do agree that sometimes the internal monologues can be a bit long and boring in characters but I've come to accept it with Jay Crownover's writing.
I also really adored Church's family. They were a solid bunch of people just waiting for Church to find his way back home. I loved how Dixie and Church opened up to each other and came clean about their fears and vulnerabilities. They deserved a happy ending. I also seriously cannot wait for Poppy and Wheeler's book next. Those two need some good in their lives more than anyone. All in all Riveted was a great read and I can't wait to read more from Jay Crownover.
*Note: A copy of this book was provided by the author/publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. We thank them.

Great story. Writing was excellent. Loved the characters of Church and Dixie. Glad they got their HEA, but wish the author had given just a little bit more.

Jay Crownover is a great "go-to" author when you want to escape. The Saints of Denver series does not disappoint and there are a lot of cameos from past characters.
Church is a bouncer at a bar that Dixie also works at. She loves her job, her friends, and her family and is perpetually positive. She is even able to get Church to notice her but at a distance, as he has sworn off any type of relationships.
He receives a call from his father requesting him to come home. He is needed as his aunt is in the hospital and it is time. Church is dreading this reunion as he has been away from home for 10 years. His family believes he is in Denver because of a woman and he needs to provide the proof that she exists rather than reveal the truth that it is too painful to be home.
He convinces Dixie to go with him and she is more than willing as she believes Church is the one. She is determined to convince Church that she is the one for him, too.
Dixie is slowly breaking down the walls that Church has put up and soon finds that the two are in danger. Church believes the threat is against him and will do anything to protect Dixie.
This story was a quick, enjoyable read and such a fun "reading fix". I look forward to more stories to the series.

"...this is going to be the biggest battle you've ever fought and you'll never have been so happy to lose when you finally surrender."
Finally! Full of sagely advice, guilt over the past, fear of the future, and the search for love, Riveted brings us back to the astounding quality and overall level of captivating brilliance that I haven't felt since the glory days of the Marked Men series. Of course, I still like the early installments of Saints of Denver, but I often found myself feeling like they were just missing something. This was not the case with Riveted.
I absolutely loved it! Dixie was so lovable and Church-- HOT DAMN! Also, all the little extra parts with Poppy and Wheeler have made me even more excited to read Salvaged. Hold on tight people, and clear your schedules, because this one is packed with just the right amount of love, humor, and close calls that's bound to leave you Riveted.

I’ve been waiting for Dash’s story for a while and it was as emotional as I expected it to be. We don’t get much of the other characters from either series as this book concentrates mostly on Dash’s healing and fixing things with his family.
Dash is still really closed off at the beginning of the book and made me mad a couple of times with his arrogant attitude. As he starts unraveling the full picture of why he’s so closed off and untouchable we find out that he’s really just full of hurt and self-loathing. He’s been through quite a bit and never really dealt with any of it. When he does finally open up to Dixie, he’s a pretty amazing guy.
Dixie is full of life and loves everyone she meets. She always sees the good in everyone which is exactly what Dash needs right now…someone to show him the good in not only the world but in him. I love her spunk and attitude!
I have just a couple of small issues…one is nothing new – Jay is always verbose in her stories and this was no exception. There was a lot of introspection in this book which was repetitive so I skimmed a lot of that. The second issue I have is the way the book ended…it seems more like a HFN instead of an HEA and I’m not totally sure how much more we’re going to see of these two. I’m hoping we’ll get more of them in Wheeler’s story (which stands to be explosive).
Overall, this is another great read in a great series!

First off I would like to say thank you HarperCollins for the opportunity to review this book because Jay Crownover is one of my favorite authors and this series is one of my favorites. I must say Church's story was one that I was anticipating reading because I knew there was more to his story. The things from his past will give us a lot of clarity as why is the way that is and all you would want to do his just love on him. Then we Dixie, so loveable and caring all I wanted was for her to end up Church because boy oh boy did he need someone like her in his life. I started this book and couldn't put it down, I believe I lost a lot of sleep because as usual Jay's words just catch a hold of you and never let go. I really don't want this series to end I have fallen so deeply in love with these characters, now I must wait for Poppy and Wheeler's story.

This book didn’t work for me, but it might work for readers who like a story about a tormented biker hero with lots of explicit sex. I’ve requested it on NetGalley because of the blurb, the tortured hero and because I had “Rome” ("Marked Men”) in my wish list for a while and so I was curious about this author.
Overall, I liked the main characters and some of the secondary characters, namely the hero’s family, a very heartwarming group of people, not all blood related. I wasn’t moved, nevertheless, by the heroine’s sweetness and “sunny disposition” – emphasized over and over – and I must confess that even if I love a tortured hero I had a hard time understanding Church’s fatalism, which seemed a bit irrational. But I enjoyed his journey from darkness to light and the author creates a very attractive hero.
First of all, I didn’t like the writing style, too wordy and repetitive, with overworked metaphors and similes (“flames of rage”, “fire of jealousy”) and depending too much on telling. The dialogue was often over the top and stilted and somehow contradicting the hero’s character.
I also felt that sometimes the hero and the heroine’s voices were too similar and that the guarded and quiet hero, with all that introspection, was perhaps too eager to speak about his own emotions and feelings. I didn’t appreciate the tendency to auto-characterization and autoanalysis, sometimes in the midst of a blow job or in other unexpected moments.
I usually dislike the first-person POV with the character rendering information about himself/herself that would be improbable or/and impossible from a realistic perspective, something that happens here (“the corners of my lips turned down”, “my frown dug deeper into my face”, “my hands curled into fists at my sides without me being aware they were doing it” – I’m quoting only to illustrate my assessment, aware that it is an ARC).
All these features contribute sometimes to break the narrative flow and I struggled to read this book. I must say that I enjoyed much more the second part of the story with the hero’s extended family.

I love Jay Crownover's books and this one is probably one of the best. . Everyone in her books are so relatable, And it makes you feel like you are a part of the story.
Dash Churchill has stayed away from his home for 10 years since he has been back from the army. He believes that anytime he is near someone he loves something bad will happen so he has kept his distance. When a loved one back home needs him though he can't say no. The only problem is he has told his family that the reason he can't leave Denver is because of a girl, so now he needs to find a girl that will pretend to be his girlfriend, which leads him to Dixie Carmichael.
Dixie Carmichael cannot catch a break while looking for love. While trying online dating she is realizing what a hassle it is, and how you can never really tell what a person is like just by reading their profile. After another disastrous date she decides to give it a break, especially because she can't stop thinking about Church. When he asks her to help him out by pretending to be his girlfriend while he goes home to check on his family, Dixie is.more then willing to help considering this could their one and only time to be together.
While in Church's hometown they decide to give each other a chance and see where it leads them. But when an unknown threat keeps putting them in jeopardy will they be able to trust each other or will Church continue to believe that everything he comes to care about is better off without him in the picture and walk away from something that could be amazing.

If you have not read the first books of the Saints of Denver or the Marked Men series, you will still like this book. However, since I've read both of the series, I was (again) swept into the lives and loves of all my beloved characters. I must admit, I'm not a fan of tattoos, but ever since I met Remy and Rule in the first part of the Marked Men series, I can appreciate the artists behind the tattoos.
And in this book we meet Church. Broody, dark and sinister, we already met Church in Asa's book. He is an army buddy of Rome (yes, the big brother of Remy and Rule) and he has some issues. Of course, there are dark secrets looming, but happy-go-lucky-Dixie does not care. She wants the big bad guy all for herself. But Church doesn't seem to want to have anything to do with her.
So, she turns to her friendly neighbour Poppy (yes, Salem's sister from Rowdy, Marked Men #5). But Poppy doesn't want to do much with men, because of her crappy history with men. Even Wheeler, Dixie's ex-brother-in-law, scares the hell out of her. (Or maybe not, if I read the blurb of Salvaged, Saints of Denver #4). So, Dixie tries to go out with other guys, through some kind of dating app. But what a bunch of weirdos where that?!
And then, Church asks her to come along to his home. To pretend to be his girlfriend for his family and friends. So she agrees, because she thinks this is the ultimate chance to prove Church that he is Mr. Right for her and not Mr. Wrong. But what if their pasts creeps up at them? Will they still have a future? Or was Church right in being Mr. Wrong?
Jay Crownover keeps you on edge from start to finish. Absolute wonderful story, with a smile and a tear. I'm waiting for Wheeler's and Poppy's story. Five out of five stars from me and a thank you to Netgalley for the ARC.

**ARC received from the author for an honest review**
There are stories that make you cry and there are stories that make you ugly cry. Then there are stories that get deep in your gut, stir up the butterflies and the demons, and have them come out in hiccuping sobs of happiness. THAT is the level of emotion I got down to when I finally got my hands on Riveted and dove in to the story of Church and Dixie. This is not only a literal adventure tale; but a journey in learning, soul-deep, in to what makes Church the man he is.
Dixie is your down home girl with a heart of gold and smile to knock the sun off its axis. I love that Crownover got right down to her truth. She's seen some nasty in her life but nothing can bring this girl down to doubts and pessimism. She believes in a HEA down to her bones. And seeing Church, knowing what kind of man he is, she knows he's the right kind of man.
Church...gods where do I begin with Church! This is a man who's seen and FELT war. I cannot put into words the way my heart breaks for him. He isn't a good man gone bad, no. He's a good man who thinks he deserves the bad; and couldn't be more wrong. I pulled so hard for Dixie to drag him out to the sunshine and let him see how he belongs in the light with her.
I love that Crownover when a bit of anew route this time with the suspense of danger that happens with Church and Dixie on their journey home to the South. I loved trying to figure out who was after them and was completely surprised by who it was! I'm also so proud of her for taken on a touchy subject of race and Church's life having to deal with the differences he had to go through compared to someone like Dixie. It was nice to see it in a realistic light; that it is a subject that people have to live with.
This was one crazy ride with a girl with knew her worth and a man who found himself worthy of it. Every new tale from Crownover surpasses the last and pushes the bar higher for the next. I'm DYING for my man Wheeler's story. The glimpse of them in this was NOT ENOUGH. No matter what anyone says I will always love that man. I can't explain the way he jumps off the page to me! Can't wait for Salvaged but for now order your copy of Riveted AND HOLD ON TIGHT FOR THE RIDE!

Jay Crownover is one of those authors that I will always clamor to get my hands on their work. Riveted was no different and I was so ready for this adventure of a story!
Dixie Carmichael not only wants to find her "person" she is always the person there to help everyone else, often times at the expense of herself. While she's pretty sure that person that she's supposed to be with forever is Dash Churchill, the former solider turned bouncer at The Bar, she knows he doesn't feel nearly what she does, so she decides it's time to start dating with the use of a dating app.
Dash "Church" Churchill doesn't like entanglements. He's lost too many people, most notably women, who are close to him and the last thing he wants to do is go through that again. Couple that with the fact that he hasn't been back to see his family for ten long years, it causes some conflict and hard feelings on both sides. When Church gets the call that the woman who helped raise him has taken a fall and is in the hospital, he decides to head back to his hometown in Mississippi, but nothing can be as easy as dropping everything and heading out, right?!
Turns out that Church has told his family that the reason that he's stayed in Denver for so long is because of a girl. While that might be true subconsciously, he's mainly stayed away because he doesn't want to deal with his past. When he's forced to head home, he enlists the help of Dixie to go home with him so they can meet the "girl" that has kept him away.
As a series of strange happenings take place, not only is Church forced to face some of the demons from his past, he's also forced to look to the future and what that looks like. Will he be able to get out of his own way and find his own happily ever after?
I enjoyed this story quite a bit and I look forward to the next adventure that Jay Crownover chooses to take us on! My fingers are crossed that we might get some more Wheeler!!
