The first novel in the Path of the Samurai series.
WINTER RAVEN marks a bit of a departure for Adam Baker - you may be familiar with his superb Outpost series (a fantastic, gripping take on the zombie genre, each of which I thoroughly enjoyed). This new series is a historical fiction epic, taking on the history and culture of the Japanese samurai.
Well-written, populated by interesting and well-drawn characters, and plenty of well-written action. I very much enjoyed WINTER RAVEN. Recommended.
