Description

EXCLUSIVE NETGALLEY CHAPTER SAMPLER

Read an extract of the compulsive new novel from the author of the Sunday Times Number One bestseller THE CALLER.

Thirty-seven years in the force, and if I was allowed to choose just one thing to erase from my mind, what’s inside that room would be it.

That’s what a LAPD Lieutenant tells Detectives Hunter and Garcia of the Ultra Violent Crimes Unit as they arrive at one of the most shocking crime scenes they have ever attended.

In a completely unexpected turn of events, the detectives find themselves joining forces with the FBI to track down a serial killer whose hunting ground sees no borders; a psychopath who loves what he does because to him murder is much more than just killing – it’s an art form.

Welcome to The Gallery of the Dead.

I hadn’t realised this was only a sample, I was just settling in for a long reading session when I came to the end! Can’t wait to get my hands on full book!

Just finished a small little taster of the upcoming Hunter novel,Gallery of the dead,I can't wait literally can't wait for February and its release, the taster wets your appetite just enough to hook you onto the line and keeping you dangling, much the same as the victims of Chris Carter's books. If like me you like your body count high and your killing ingenious then these books are for you seriously the man's mind must be in one he'll of a state sometimes
With his plotlines and Hunter is endearing despite being a genius adding much more to the novels not just a main character he is as equal to the books as the killer and victims,Give it a go I guarantee you will be hooked!!

Whilst this was only a sample from the new book I loved it! Hooked me straight away and was gutted when it ended - definitely need to get my hands on the full version!!

I have read and own all of Chris Carters books to date so when I saw this it made my day! Unfortunately its only the first 3 chapters and where it ends is just cruel!!!
The 2 main characters, Hunter and Garcia are back and face "one of the most shocking crime scenes they have ever attended"
And it is at their arrival to that scene that this teaser ends so I still don't know what that is!!! But i cant wait to find out!
If you haven't read any of the books in this series then i strongly urge you to do so now before this one is released! If you like Chelsea Cain and Karin Slaughter then you are in for a treat with these!
It is going to be a long wait until 8th Feb now!
I have had this book pre ordered since the 9th June!

As a fan of this author you only have to see his CV and background to be impressed and realise he may know even more than he actually writes about. Owning a number of his books ready to read, when time allowed I thought this sample of his latest novel would offer me an insight on his place on my to read list.
I am utterly impressed and he clearly goes up my pending reads and number one when 1 next fancy a dark thriller.
The first chapter oozes a sense of impending doom, like watching a David Attenborough documentary when an animal is likely to be hunted and served up for lunch. We are left in limbo as before anything happens we are taken to meet are lead detective. Back story is introduced and a sense of dedication revealed but this is cut short before we are taken with him to the crime scene. This final chapter available is just chapter 4 we know it refers to the person we thought was in danger but here we have talk about the horrors of the murder and th reactions on others that viewed the body and by the end of this chapter the detectives and the reader hav still to enter and observe the scene of crime.
What torture for me to leave he book at this time. Wha more evidence to suggest that here is a written who can build tension and leave the reader wanting more. I guess it also points up his work as potentially being inputdownable, and best read when time affords or an all night session will not compromise what you need to achieve tomorrow.
