'I am in LOVE with Florence Love' Mel Giedroyc

Florence Love became a Private Investigator for all the right reasons. She's extraordinarily nosy, it sounds cool on paper and she needed to find her missing mum.

Now she knows Bambi Love is hiding out in Italy - in a cloud of secrets and Chanel No. 5.

Every family has its skeletons, but Flo's lot are a particularly special case. And how is she supposed to get over her heart-stealing ex, who holds all the answers but refuses point-blank to ever see her again?

It's going to take a whole lot of love, sweat and tears to uncover the astonishing truth.

Featured Reviews

I have mixed feelings about this book and, unlike me, have left this review for a few days to get my head round it and whether to give 4 or 5 stars. I enjoyed the read and the characters, who are a eclectic mix, are very likeable and almost bumble along but in an utterly believeable way. Florence Love is a self employed Private Investigator bent on solving the mystery of her disappearing mother 25 years before which is reignited by a chance sighting at an Italian Airport. She is aided and abetted by her delightful brother Michael, who has Aspergers, his character leaves a lovely depth and grounding to the whole story plus friends Noah and Vee. There are many twists and turns, the ending is unforseen but concluding. The writing style took a little getting used to at the start and I found I had to read the first little bit again, after getting about a quarter through, to familiarise myself properly with the timeline. I see that Florence Love stories are part of a series and I shall be seeking out the previous ones. It is well written and subtly witty and quite quirky but endearing as one gets drawn into the characters and the plot.
