Description

In her indie debut, JudiLynn Taylor takes center stage with this endearing novel about the power of friendship when facing life’s adversities. Southern lovin’ at its best! Book includes a to-die-for lemonade recipe!

On the front porch of one Victorian home in the small Southern town of Eubanks, six women gather to indulge themselves in some cutting up, cutting loose, and an unparalleled stream of blowing off steam.

While these friends cannot stop the events that at times attempt to knock them off their charted courses, they do find a way to embrace the changes in their lives—through each other’s support, laughter, and a healthy dose of Miss Abby’s lemonade. Hold the vodka?

The characters are charming and often downright hilarious. The tragedies and triumphs that bounce around this circle of friends are familiar to all of us. This is a book that will warm your heart, make you laugh, bring you closer to the important things in life, which admittedly change with the seasons, as does all of nature.

And not once is the saying “when life gives you lemons . . .” used in the telling of events.

Advance Praise

Front Porch Lemonade is the story of a group of sassy Southern women and their close knit friendships. Life in a small town is lively and eventful for these women, who love each other and love to spend time laughing and enjoying each others company. Their meeting place is Miss Abby's front porch, where the hostess serves up pitcher after pitcher of her homemade lemonade, along with an assortment of home-baked goodies, as the women while away the hours discussing their marriages, children, neighbors, hopes, dreams, and worries. Each character is well drawn with her own quirks and personality and her own story line. Some will have you laughing out loud and others will break your heart. It's well-written and a pleasure to read. ~ Amazon Reviewer

A sweet and heartfelt story of six women friends. Abby, Vera, Ida Sue, Ruby, Camilla and Tierra all get together on Abby's porch to share lemonade, snacks and share what is going on in their lives. Some stories made me laugh, others made me cry, but mainly they ran the gamete. Each of the stories helped to get to know the women more, and made me wish I could sit in and listen to them and enjoy a glass with them too. A nice feel good story, and one I highly recommend.
