Description

When a flood closes the village school, Lulu invites the staff and pupils to come and join them at St Grizzle’s. Dani and her friends can’t believe their bad luck – it was awful enough bumping into Spencer and his cronies in the village but now they’ve got to share lessons with them. Before long pupils are clashing with pupils, there are pranks aplenty and even the teachers aren’t getting along. Rehearsals get underway for the school show but with tempers fraying it’s soon looking like a big failure. Determined that the show will go on, Lulu calls on Dani and co, as the oldest children in the school, to set a good example and make friends. But with Spencer up to his usual tricks, can the two rival groups put aside their differences long enough to turn a disaster into a triumph?
This warm, funny series based in the maddest of mad boarding schools, is perfect for fans of SCARLET AND IVY and A MURDER MOST UNLADYLIKE.

This book of the series deals with Boo and Archie as they both have parent issues as they avoid them after Boo fears being taken away from her new beloved school while Archie wants a break from his parents after all their arguing.

After the school attend the Twittering fair, they meet Spencer and his horrid hang of bullies but still manage to have fun despite seeing them there, they just hope they don't see them again too soon...

However bullies Spencer and his gang are Twittering students and after an accident at their school wind up at St Grizeldas for a few days of which includes their concert for the retirement home visitors.

As the students prepare their unique concert, our usual gang discover the adults want something different to the predicted and so set about amazing up the concert to help everyone stay happy.

Full of the usual antics of the wacky, crazy cool school we find deep meaningful lessons from accepting our parents wishes for us and proving ourselves to wanting to escape from life for a while and forget our problems as well as how to handle bullies in a good way and not stooping to their level. It had wild Boo in the book and I love her for being young but bold and believing in what she wants, a pet pigeon she shall have as she loves him not matter whom wants to stop her! I love her character and not just because she likes books and pigeons as much as me! The school show was inventive and better than the Twittering one would've been for sure, the Grizzlers know how to throw a concert for sure!

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

I absolutely love this series of books about the most unusual school you are likely to find. The main characters are lovable, eccentric and at times just plain weird. However they are fantastic fun and full of goodwill, even though that can be stretched to the limit by the people who do not like the way the school is run. I can't wait for yet another adventure.
