AWKWARD: The Social Dos and Don'ts of Being a Young Adult breaks down family, friends, work, and community social situations to help provide tips on socially acceptable behavior in everyday situations. Each situation includes examples of dos and don’ts that related to different perspectives and learning styles. The "do" section is intended to teach specific actions that can be performed to help a situation go well, and the "don't" section is intended to help teach people which actions to avoid in order to prevent awkward or unpleasant interactions.

I got this book to read for helping my child go through his puberty years without being overly stressful. So far, it is very helpful; however, this is nonfiction and the chapters are dense. My son and I have only made it about halfway through the book. I do recommend it

This book was well-written, and there were a lot of GREAT pieces of advice in it. I bought a copy for each of my teenage sisters!

A nifty little handbook of modern etiquette for teens. I ended up purchasing this for my library as it's accessible and not too long or stodgy.

This is a great little book. Each spread is a comic and discussion questions around typical social experiences. I recommend it to families with socially awkward kids (and all kids are!) and I use it in my middle school advisory to start discussions and also give students some examples of what TO do rather than just what NOT to do.
