This is a first for me by this author, but not my last.
I didn't realise this was book five in a series, I'll be looking up the first four as it was most enjoyable.

Life in Edgar Road through the eyes of a feline trio... Alfie, Tiger and George.

Edgar Road is very quiet in the lead up to Christmas... that is until we meet Sylvie, a recently divorced mum, to daughter Connie, who have both moved back to London from Japan. They bring their cat Hannah with them. Can they make their new house a home in time for the festive season?

At the end of Edgar Road a cranky old neighbour twitches his windows and refuses to be drawn into the community spirit. Maybe all he needs is a bit of kindness shown to get him in the mood for the season!

As the snow starts to fall, Alfie and George have their work cut out for them to bring the street together in time for Christmas.

A heart-warming feel-good novel that is perfect for the festive season... with lots of laugh-out-loud moments as well as some tearful ones.

I'm looking forward to more in this series as well as catching up on previous stories.

Thank-You Netgalley for my ARC.

Alfie the Doorstep Cat returns with his kitten George in the fifth novel in this heartwarming series. This time he has new neighbours to befriend, as well as a taciturn elderly widower who is struggling to live independently to help and also the couple who own Alfie’s girlfriend, the mother of George. The new next door neighbours have returned to London from Japan and they have a house cat that never goes out. George is once again smitten!
With more friends and neighbours than ever, the time is ripe for Alfie and George to have more adventures. But as Christmas nears, can Alfie sort out all the problems and squabbles in his community and save the day. You bet he can!
I really enjoyed this novel and it was just lovely to meet the characters from the neighbourhood once again. The children are growing up and their parents are getting ready for Christmas and beyond. Everyone is very busy, the children are excited and their close friendships are thriving. Alfie’s family are hosting Christmas day this year, the same as last year at their holiday property and everyone is invited to join in the festivities. There’s even a fledgling romance in the air. Meeting Alfie’s three families one more is delightful, their characters and lives developing further. This novel is all about family and community and is a real feel-good read suitable for families and young adult readers alike. It’s highly recommended by me.
I received this novel through my membership of NetGalley and from publisher Avon in return for an honest review. Thank you most sincerely for my copy.
