Autism and Employment

I work as a conselor to help people with disabilities to find work and i tought this book was very efficient. I liked it and will use it as a tool

I found this book to be very helpful as a parent of two children with ASD. It is reminiscent of several skills that their Applied Behavior Analysts (ABA) therapist has worked on with them. I think it would be significantly helpful for those parents who do not have access to ABA therapy services. Employability is a huge issue for people with ASD and any assistance that is available to increase those odds is always welcome.

Where was this information for the past decade or so?! If you have a loved one on the spectrum or work with those on the spectrum, this book is an absolute MUST READ!!! The information is legitimately helpful and is brought to you in a manner that is easy to follow. This is a book that is excellent to go through with your loved one who is on the spectrum as well. It helps to explain the why of answering some of the various questions or loved ones are asked over and over again but never make any sense to them as to why. I've found that my oldest child is better able to internalize information when he understand the why of things. The next step he needs is the how. If you give him the how before the why, he struggles to grasp and retain the information. This book is perfectly set up to help him.
