Very enjoyable read, good romantic suspense novel with somewhat predictable ending (figured out who and why) but still interesting. I received an e-book from NetGalley in return for an unbiased review.

The writing style is very engaging and very quickly I wanted to read on to see how the main characters relationship develops. It was predictable in places however I enjoyed reading this. I very much enjoyed the ending and felt it was very fitting. A good read to enjoy that is not too taxing to read.

Would be keen to read more from the author.

Wow. Just wow. Never read anything by this author. I want more! Fabulously descriptive, i found myself completely immersed in the characters, the building of relationships. The humour and truth behind these people is amazing. Finn and mel are so real, so relatable they could live next door. Devoured tbis in one sitting and will look for more by reece. If you want a steamy, light hearted yet engaging romance look no further- this is it!

Watch over me is a clean romance in the since that there is no graphic sex scenes but there is swearing.

Watch over me has the right amount of humor, romance mystery, family and love that will keep readers wanting more after they finish book one!

Amy Reece is able to create very likable characters who come to life as their lives are thrown together all because of a cat. The story has a very even flow that feels nautral as their relationship moves quickly though the story. This is a perfect book to curl up on the couch and enjoy the please of reading. The characters are fun, life like and a family everyone would want to be apart of and not be apart of.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publsher Limitless Publishing LLC for the Advance copy of Amy Reece Watch over me.

Lovely story full of mistery, romance ,love .It was enjoyable read and in my opinion this book deserve 4 star. Amy Reece is a new author for me and thanks to Net Galley and publisher I really enjoyed in Finn and Melanie *s story . .

Melanie Blythe, a graphic artist and loner, has a feline visitor each morning. One morning the cat shows up with a witty, charming note attached to its collar. It's from Melanie's neighbor, Finn, a detective who is home on leave recovering from an accident. She learns that the cat visits him each afternoon and evening and they begin passing notes via cat collar. Their banter gets cuter and cuter and eventually they meet and sparks fly.

Only someone is watching and someone seems to hate Mel. Who is it? Why? And what will they do next?

Finn's boisterous, loving, funny family is a complete bonus and I am so glad that there will be more DeLuca Family adventures to follow.

Thanks to Netgalley and Amy Reece for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Watch Over by Amy Reece combines romance & thriller themes in an intricately wound web. Melanie is a shy and introverted author who works from home, Finn is an injured police officer combined to his home & CJ is a feisty cat who is intent on getting the two together.

I really enjoyed this book as it was a great balance of thriller and romance. Both characters were charming and easy to love. The 'bad guy' in this story could have had a bit more of a lead in/development as it seemed to come from something so simple.

Fans of Thrillers/Romance will love this book. Easy to read and easily read in one setting it left me with a feeling of contentment once I finished it.

Melanie Blythe has a past and consequently likes to keep to herself she is quite happy with her career and writing her books but when a cat keeps coming to visit via her dog door she is intrigues. She places a collar and a message on the cat so begins her banter with her neighbour two doors down. When he informs her he has a broken leg she goes to visit to see if he needs anything. Finn DeLuca is a detective and is instantly attracted to Melanie but it doesn't take any detective skills to work out he will have to go slow if he wants any relationship with her to say she is gun shy is an understatement. Now with odd occurrences happening in her life and the danger escalating it will be up to Finn to keep her safe and during this time she will have to learn to trust him. There are plenty of twists and turns with Melanie stalker keeping the reader enthralled till the very last page I highly recommend this book

I was given a copy of this book but this is true and honest review

A sexy cop and a woman with too much time on her hands leads to an intriguing story filled with romance and danger. I had great fun reading this book, it was good to see a cop already beat up by the job (to a degree) before getting embroiled deeper in a romance and a case that had you wondering what would happen next. Well worth a read and i would be interested to read the authors other books at some point

Any book that starts off by getting the hero and heroine to get together by leaving notes for one another under the collar of a cat that has adopted them has got to be onto a winner. I was inclined to enjoy this book from the first few pages for that very reason. Of course, it isn't long before the pair meet and what starts out as a friendship, develops into something more serious and lasting.

I liked the characters of both Finn and Melanie. Finn was very sweet, although he'd clearly had terrible taste in women in the past. Mel's taste hadn't been much better to be honest, with a bad relationship in her youth putting her off men altogether. Once they were together, it was clear that they belonged together.

There is a bit of a thriller/mystery theme to this storyline as well. With someone out there threatening Mel and putting her in danger. I liked this element of the story and I think that it added quite a bit to the overall read.

Unlike many contemporary romance books, much of the action in the bedroom was behind closed doors and off camera. It made a bit of a change to not have to cringe at some of the cliched euphemisms that often get dragged out.

Overall, I really enjoyed this read and was quite pleased to discover that it's actually the first in a series with at least two other books ready to read. I think that I'll be dipping into them soon.

I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Touching and suspenseful, this plot line will draw you in from the first few paragraphs. I really appreciate Amy Reece's ability to sketch interesting characters with real depth. Yes, the leading man is hot, but he isn't too perfect, and yes the leading lady is lovely, but she's also an introvert who has confidence issues. These characters are so much more than combustible chemistry. You really grow to care about them; they could be your neighbors down the road. The suspense is just the right amount, and the resolution is quite satisfying. I'm really glad to have been immersed in this story. I can't wait for more!

This book was a very easy read and I instantly cared about these characters. I knew who the perpetrator was immediately, but I still had no idea why this person was taunting the characters. It still was a mystery book with a lot of twist and turns. Highly entertaining and didn't want to put it down.

I recommend this easy read. It makes you think, entertains you, and pulls at your heartstrings. You will enjoy it!

Mel and Finn met trough stray cat who is become their daily routine and Mel’s new pet. Mel is a shy introvert person and when she finds out that Finn is in a wheelchair is trying to help him. So their story starts slowly with eating together, watching a movie, as Finn rehabilitation progress so does their relationship. But there is something that is ruining their happiness and is a stalker who tried to kill Mel. Why and who is yet to find out. Lovely sweet story with great characters, witty and fun to read. Although is kind of predictable it was an enjoyable read and I had fun reading it.

Recommend!

The story begins with a cat - CJ Cooper - that delivers notes between a cop on disability and an introverted writer. Finn, the cop, is still hurting from a recent break-up with a TV anchorwoman. Melanie (Mel), the writer, has just lost her beloved aunt to cancer. Mel (24) is quite shy - she only had one relationship - and that was in college a few years ago. In contrast, gorgeous Finn (27) has had a bevy of beauties. Regardless, he takes more than an interest in Mel.

The two hook-up eventually and Finn realizes he has to walk on eggshells with Mel. With a large family to help him get along with his broken leg and ankle, Finn needs assistance. He tries to draw out Mel by "letting her" help him out (And by introducing her to his 5 brothers and sisters.) She may be shy, but Mel has fallen hard for the handsome Finn and has made friends with his two sisters. Mel, however, feels undeserving of Finn.

Eventually Mel meets Finn's parents - his entire family warms to her.
During this relationship Mel has had some odd things happen: doors left open, dishes placed where she swears she did not leave them, her dog left outside and even worse. Being a cop, Finn sees this all add up and becomes wary and quite protective of Mel.

Any more would be a spoiler but the turns this story takes are superb. Highly recommend!

Many thanks to Limitless Publishing, Amy Reece and NetGalley for the chance to review this book!

This is a first time read author for me and I truly enjoyed Finn and Melanie's story. Finn is at home recovering from a recent incident and he has eyes on his neighbors two doors down. Melanie is introverted, shy and the cat is delivering cute letters between the two. I loved Finn's family and hope to read more about them. Filled with a bit of suspense and action.

Really enjoyed this book. Loved how Mel and Finn “met” at the beginning and how their relationship grew. There were a few issues with formatting so at times it was a bit frustrating to read but this didn’t detract from the story.

What a great story from finish to end. When Melanie's cat starts going down the road to another house and goes back with a note attched to it's collar she is intrigued. She answers the note and receives a reply. They soon meet and like each other straight away. What's not to like a good looking cop called Finn with a sense of humour and a large loving family.
When Melanie starts to feel that someone is following her and has been in her place Finn is concnerned. Then a fire with a message burned into the ground makes them fear for her life. Can they get to whoever is doing this before it's too late. The ending was great and was totally expecting it to be someone else. I can't wait to read other books in this series.

I enjoyed this story which made a change from the usual books that i normally read. It is the first time that i have read a book by this author and will no doubt read more. The two main characters are very likeable and is a book that one doesn't feel as if you have to turn the pages quickly. In other words, an easy going book, which has a touch of humour as well as suspense and romance.

My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers for my copy. This is my honest review.

A very driven, dark ride, this book constantly had me on the edge of my seat! The descriptions were out of this world wonderful, and the continuously fast moving plot in addition to the build up of suspense was a killer! The romance felt a little off at times, but I think that was just a personal opinion thing, I know a lot of people who will love it, and the writing and plot definitely made up for it. I can't wait to read more from this author, because this was so enjoyable. Well worth the read!

It's a testament to the writing the I managed to become engrossed despite the awkward formatting of the uncorrected proof. Intriguing premise.

Melanie finds herself adopted by a stray cat that wanders in her place and one day after the cat has been outside for a while it comes back with a note attached to its collar. It's from Finn who lives down the street and had no idea that he and Melanie were sharing the stray cat. They share notes back and forth for a while, neither one of them really wanting to meet face to face. Melanie is shy and works from home as a writer. Finn is a cop who is recuperating after being hit by a car. He's in a wheel chair and trying to get used to doing things himself even though his family comes over to help all the time.

Things start out so incredibly cute between these two. I thought it was a really sweet way to introduce yourself to your neighbor.

Right as Finn and Melanie are getting to know one another better and get closer, small bizarre things start happening. Things in her home start getting moved around. At first she thinks she is just imagining it and then it happens more frequently. When the danger really ratchets up, Finn and his family step up to help find out who's stalking her and why.

I was liking this story quite a bit until the nosy neighbor shows up and just sorta barges into their lives. The fact that neither of them tell her off amazed me because there's no way I would be letting this weirdo in my home. But maybe that's just me. The romance was sweet, the stalker was creepy and Finn's family are great. I really enjoyed this story.

Danger and intrigue with a core of romance. This book is a well written literary ride into romantic fiction. Written in a way that hooks you from page one, the storyline is fast paced and believable. With great characters and superior interactions, this is easily worth the four star recommendation I give.

Absolutely loved! This story is a definite must read, I devoured it.

Melanie Blythe, just lost her great Aunt to cancer. Coming from very little family, when she got the call that her Aunt was sick, she left Illinois a year ago to move to Albuquerque, to take care of her. She works from home, during the day as a graphic designer and at night she's a romance novelist. This makes her an introvert, having had only her Aunt as her only friend in the past year. Her Aunt left everything to her, the house, a car, and all her assets. That includes a cute little dog and a cat that wormed herself into her life and well as her sexy neighbor's life too.

Finn DeLucca is a detective in the police force currently on medical leave. When he was jogging one morning he was run over by a car, left to linger in a coma for 10 days. The cops never found the driver. It's now been three months since the accident and surgery but he's still wheelchair bound due to both his broken femur and ankle. When a cat shows up one morning and spends the day with him only to return home at the end of the day, Finn gets curious about the owner. He starts spying on her with his binoculars and likes what he sees. So he sends the cat home one day with a note attached to her collar. From then on Mel and Finn communicate via the cat with funny letters getting to know each other.

Mel can't understand why someone would be interested in her. Ever since a bad relationship in college, she's stayed away from relationships on purpose. One day when Finn tells her about his reason for not being able to leave his house due to the accident, the caretaker in Mel steps in. She runs over there bringing fresh banana bread to introduce herself formally. The minute she sees him, she's tongue tied; he's no better. After spending the day with each other, they start becoming inseparable. She starts working out of his home with her laptop while he works on some cold cases.

When strange things start happening at her house, starting with feeling like someone is watching her, dishes leaving the sink and ending up in the dishwasher she never uses, and her front door being unlocked and left open, Mel tells Finn. He then starts walking her home every night to make sure that her house is secure. He thinks that she might have a stalker.

When the couple have a fight, she spends the night getting drunk with his sister, Cara. When Cara leaves to crash at Finn's for the night, something terrible happens to Mel while she's sleeping.

Her cat wakes up Finn, which is a first since she sleeps with Mel but spends the day with him. He immediately knows that something's wrong. He follows the cat outside only to see that Mel's house is on fire. He lets himself inside only to find her unconscious and unresponsive. At the hospital, the doctor informs them that she had drugs in her system and if not for the fire, she would have been dead by the morning.

Finn and his partner start looking into this determined more than ever when they find a message poured in gasoline on her burnt grass. Only time will tell that she's not the one being stalked, he's the intended target.

I definitely recommend reading this book, it's a must read!

The anticipation brings you in closer with each word as you anxiously await to find out why everything happened. Great read!

This is the first book I have read of Amy Reece’s, so it was a discovering of a new-to-me author and since it’s just the start of a series, I’m curious to know what else is going to happen next in this world and with the characters that are going to follow.

Nevertheless, this novel was quite entertaining. I read it during my trip to France, and it was a fun book and story to read while passing my time at the airport and the flight. It made me curious, sometimes laugh even, other times I was like “Hum, what is going on?” or “Why is this happening?”, as in, I wanted to know more about the story and the characters, and I wanted to know the storyline process and even if I was right or wrong in my thoughts.

I loved Finn more than I loved Mel. Still I could understand her and relate a bit with her, which was good because that made me keep my attention on what was going on and trying to uncover the secrets and being more open to keep learning about the characters life, past and aspirations and wishes.

Anyway, Finn was amazing with is patience and kindness, and I want to keep him, unfortunately he’s taken, by Mel… Oh well… There still is more to come. Speaking of “more to come”, I’m curious about the DeLuca family, because this introduction was good and made me interested in keep reading more of the series, when a get to read the next book. Their interaction reminded me of my family, because it felt real.

Overall, I enjoyed the plot and that it had that suspense as well as the romance, because that makes me think and I feel that adds an element of drama and unknowing that is fun for me when I’m reading a book, especially one that is the start of a new-to-me series. Although, I had many suspicions and ideas about the mystery, it was still fun to see if I was right and where the author would take the story.

That been said, I’ll be waiting to see what more is Amy Reece going to write about and I have added the other books to my TBR because I need to know what will happen next with the DeLuca family.

Fans of both romance and mystery will enjoy Watch Me. It had a real “sweet-tart” quality to it; the romance between Melanie and Finn was light-hearted and quite sweet, while the mystery of who was stalking them was menacingly scary.

This was a really enjoyable read.

I did find the first couple of chapters a bit slow, but I liked the style so continued, and I Was so glad that I did!

I think that the slowness at first was more acclimating myself to the authors style. As with anything, everyone has different tastes and preferences, and I think sometimes with an authors way of writing it can take a bit to get used to them, so i try to give a book a few chapters.

By the third i was hooked and intrigued! And finished the book in only two sittings. Really enjoyable, and just that bit different to other stories available, it keeps your attention with ease!

This was my first book by this author but definitely not my last. Finn and Melanie had great chemistry and I loved how they were brought together by a stray cat. The story had lots of suspense and the other characters have made me want to continue reading this series.
