Daring Dreamer by Deborah King is of romance genre and also I would call it women's fiction. Janna and Shelby are two friends who come to a small town Cologne for a fresh start and to chase their dream. They both have their regrets but they decide not to dwell on them. They join as managers to a Grocery Store in Cologne where people are not very used to female supervisors. The story is all about how Janna and Shelby gain the confidence of their employees, how they make new friends in the town and how they work towards reaching their big dream. Janna finds a wonderful partner in Richard and a brother in Todd. Whereas, Shelby drowns her loneliness drinking in bars. Janna is very ambitious and makes sure to pull her best friend Shelby out of her misery reigniting her forgotten dreams.

Richard is a wonderful character who supports Janna in every possible way. He also understands how precious she is and appreciates her.

All in all, the story is very engaging. I almost read it in one sitting. The character establishment is very well done by the author. This book definitely deserves multiple reading. The story talks about the importance of friendship, dreaming, hope, second chances, forgiving oneself and finding love again.

Daring Dreamer is a story of second chances. Two women, friends, move to a new town to start over. They encounter obstacles and find unexpected things along the way. The story is well written engaging and heart warming. The characters are flawed but likeable. They are hopeful and open to the possibility of second chances. This is a good read with warmth and hope. Two friends Janna and Shelby leave the big city for a chance at fulfilling their dream in the small town of Cologne. They have left behind heartache and disappointment, hoping for a better life. They meet a new friend Melinda and the three gals become best friends. Things are going well, the girls have new jobs in a trendy new market in town and their ideas are helping out the market grow and expand.
Now who is the stranger that keeps coming to the market? Nobody knows his name! He’s handsome and he seems to have his eye on Janna. We find out his name is Richard and he is the new architect in town. Will sparks fly between Richard and Janna? Can she get past her heartache and learn to love again?
This is the first book I have read by Deborah King, but it won’t be the last. She weaves a beautiful story full of friendship, trust and love with not only the main characters in the story but with all the supporting characters as well. A truly enjoyable read. I was so excited to learn at the end of the book that this is the first book in her series “Inspiration in Cologne”. I look forward to catching up with Janna and Richard and I’m curious who is next to fall in love in Cologne. Thank you to Net Galley and BooksGoSocial for an advanced copy of the book to review.

Good read, complex and interesting charatcers, didnt end the way i thought it would, i really enoyed it.

This was a great read. A very cute a cozy story line. It was easy to follow. The charcters are well developed and easy to love. I’m ready for book two.
