Trans-Theoretical Christian Psychology

As human psychology deals with the mind and mental processes of mankind, Christian psychology concerns itself with the relationships among an individual’s spirit, soul, and body.

While rationalistic, atheistic, humanistic, and other freethinking secular groups founded upon interpretations of social science theories are concerned with thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of individuals and groups as each is influenced by environmental factors, Christian psychology utilizes biblical theology as the tool for assessing the validity of psychological conclusions. Examining and evaluating science using biblical truths reveal the majesty of the Godhead; the nature of mankind; the intensity of God’s desired relationship with mankind; and a process for each individual to effect change in patterns of thinking, feeling, and perceiving the world around him/her.

The nature of the human condition supports the position that spiritual, physiological, psychological, and socio-cultural components are vital to living a complete life.

The scale, however, is tilted toward theology over psychology toward providing the remedy to cognitive dissonance in showing the ultimate way one chooses the life-path that gives meaning and direction to his/her existence while here on earth. Living in alignment with the Holy Spirit is the only means available to mankind toward achieving synergetic integration of spirit, soul, and body.
