Description

The public wanted a solution to prison overcrowding. The government gave them Camp Orken.

Camp Orken, also known as Deathsville, is where America’s most vicious prisoners are sent to be trained as mercenaries. They engage in fierce desert warfare.

The weakest are eliminated and the survivors are auctioned to fight for foreign countries.

But not everyone is a dreg of society. Some are minor scofflaws or young trouble- makers, such as Rudolph Bangalore who has run afoul of the local and now faces the horrors of Camp Orken.

His pregnant fiancé Chelsea is determined to rescue him. She enlists the aid of Rosalita O’ Shaughnessy and her all-female rock band.

They get unexpected aid from a computer mastermind with a dark past, and together they formulate a plan to free Rudolph and others from certain death.

If you’re looking for a rapid read with a fast pace and snappy dialogue then, “Escape From Camp Orken” is the book for you.

Advance Praise

1) Chapter one was an instant hook. The author gives you enough info to pull you in while leaving enough out to make you clamor for more. The story is fast-paced and flows well. Goes great with a glass of wine.

2) This is a very rapid read - the pace is fast, the expert dialogue snappy. It conjured up all the action and fun of Mad Max, with elements of Deathrace and Escape from New York and The Dirty Dozen. Praino’s Escape from Camp Orken schools convicts into combat soldiers for fun and profit in a rough and tumble future. This was a huge amount of fun and well worthy of a sequel.
