Description

Jeremiah Jericho is in high school trying to just go about his day being invisible.

He’s not the ugly one or the bullied or the bully or the child that is bound for greatness due to a prophecy . . . well not totally. He’s the boy that lost his dad on 9/11, moody more so than a regular teenager, and is confused by the anger that boils underneath everything he thinks. He hears noises but ignores them. Until one of the noises turns into a voice that demands to be heard because he is part of a chip that’s nestled inside Jeremiah’s brain.

Crazy isn’t something a teenager looks for and it isn’t something Jeremiah needs in his life. He has enough crazy with his grandfather that mistreats everyone from his wife to his grandson Jack, Jeremiah’s brother. It doesn’t matter what Jeremiah wants, the chip in his brain isn’t going away and it continues to mess around in his life. He has to pay attention to what needs to be done or people will die and not just random strangers he doesn’t know, people he loves and cares for. People like his mother or his brother or the sweet scent of apple pie.

He just wants to go about life as he was supposed to, unnoticed, but that’s the curse of being good looking, people stare. People think they need to be your friend. And people think that you are far more into how you look like the are. Not to mention the government wants the chip back. Notice it’s not theirs. They just want it. Just like government. How they intend on getting it, well . . .

Jeremiah Jericho is in high school trying to just go about his day being invisible.

He’s not the ugly one or the bullied or the bully or the child that is bound for greatness due to a prophecy...
