Description

The war is not going well.

While the belligerent Mitasterites move towards increasingly daring goals, T.U. sniper June Vereeth is sent on a number of wild missions. Surprise lurks around every corner, testing her mettle and challenging her identity. Promotion to Major--on the orders of a stunning ally--further embroils her in a darkening conflict.

This is not the life she wanted. How did a simple if talented sniper become a legendary soldier, the savior of a planet? How has her life come to this crossroads, where a rifle shot means the difference between life or death for all?

What can June Vereeth really do against the rising tide of destruction?

Advance Praise

"June Vereeth is the kind of female main character I'd love to see more of: a competent badass who's well-rounded and believable. As with Endgame, I really appreciated the well-realized world of the story, with its convincing history, technology, and logo. The realistic depictions of battle show the impact on both the grand scale and on the personal level. Edison has a strong prose style with touches of mordant humor. This had a surprisingly emotional ending and I really enjoyed it."

I hadn't read the first book yet but I really enjoyed reading this one, I felt like I didn't need to read it to know what was going on. The characters were great.
