Description

Brandy moved to New York three months ago, and is living in an apartment with Cindy, Derek and Ben. They are young and life is exciting.

Things should be easy. Their apartment is old and haunted, leaving it a little on the creepy side. The landlord says it has history and history creates character, but how much character does one apartment need?

The foursome decide to throw a party, something small and quaint. On the day of the party, they pull out an Ouija board, to see who has been causing trouble. Satisfied, they move forward with their plans.

A storm brews outside the windows, but this storm is different. It’s Friday night, the music is up and the guests have arrived.

There are extra guests, but who invited them? Derek and the girls discover the spirits have invited themselves, but Ben, the sceptic, doesn’t believe them—until nobody gets to leave.

A deranged murderer and his killer mistress like to play with their prey, before the kill. A night of psychological games and murderous intentions lead these friends down a dark path.

Wow, what a twist-ed story.

Tayler Macneills second book

The Crack of Evil: Sinister eyes will rise is even better written than her first. It's a rollercoaster of a ghost story wit more twists than a corkscrew. Thhis is a fun read, well written with very good charater builds. It is a story for teens to adults, geared to those who like a good sci-fi haunt. It all starts inoccently enough in an apartment. But, soon takes to the streets only to go back again. Is the atomic bomb being dropped? Is the world around us haunted? Find out in this fantastic, fun ghost story. Great work Tayler Macneill, keep your stories coming! 5 stars

Well, I couldn't put down The Crack of Evil from the first chapter, so I spent half my dentist's visit and a night reading through the chapters to find out what would happen to Derek, Cindy, Brandy, and Ben. I loved that they all had interesting fears which really drives this story into scary, strange and terrifying corners. I also loved how at times you wondered what just happened? Did it really happen or was it an illusion? I'm so glad I came across this book by chance when having a little look at the authors website. I will have to read Tayler's other books as this one has become one of my favourite supernatural horrors. 5 stars

Tayler Macneill is a great author and I had the pleasure to edit "The Crack of Evil," which was a wonderful story. Great characters, creepy plot, and more than enough detail to keep you reading and visualize what those characters went through in the apartment. I reccomend her stories to anyone looking for either a cozy read (her first book), or a scary story to keep you up at night! 5 stars

I was given a chance to pre read her second book, what a wonderful read! The characters are introduced great allowing me to remember who they are in her sequels, it will be like remembering old friends over and over. Tayler's story line is scary, spooky, evil, it's action packed to the very end leaving you want more and more books. Tayler has a great and different imagination, it's a book well worth reading. The Crack of Evil will grace my book shelves in the future, right beside Tayler;s The Darkest Side of the Moon. Both books deserve 5 stars!

Brandy and Cindy have rented an apartment with Derek and Ben. Brandy and Cindy have discover that their apartment is haunted. Ben doesn’t believe it. Derek doesn’t until he experiences the ghost. The four of them decide to have a party where they will use an Ouija board and find out is bothering them. At first the party is just a party but then it becomes a haunted party that becomes so much more. When they try to leave the door won’t open. The landlord is called to come and fix the door. The landlord tells them he will when he gets to it. Why? As they and their guests experience “adventures” one after the other, the guys try to break the door don but it won’t open. Why? As they lose some guests lives, they worry that they will be next. Will they survive? Will they get out of the apartment? Why are the ghosts so mean?

The novel s full of action and horrible experiences. The ghosts want to scare them. I could not believe that they survived as it seemed so real. Trying to stop reading this story was impossible for me. I found myself wondering what their next experience they were going to experience and if they survived it. When the novel ended, it left me wanting to know what the next book will have Brandy and Derek plus Ben and Cindy will move to Paris or? This is a must read for those who like horror.
