Born and raised in London, ethnically Jewish, Dan Michaels would have ‘come of age’ (in between cups of tea) to a recording of Blondie’s Debbie Harry performing ‘Dreaming’. Since then he has been a ‘vagabond student’, primarily of international relations and political geography.
