Description

Do Animals Believe In God? is a story of what some of the creatures of the earth might say if they could speak if asked, “Do you believe in God?” This book is filled with beautiful illustrations of Daniel’s journey.

Daniel decides to go on a journey to ask the creatures he meets whether they believe in God. Each of the creatures has their own special story to tell Daniel about why they believe in God. As Daniel ventures across different terrains—from his backyard, to a farm, through a forest, into a jungle, across a garden, along a river, and along the shore of the ocean—he meets creatures big and small that share their story with Daniel. It surprises Daniel to learn that each creature has its own unique story to tell about God, which reflects on their own way they experienced God, and they share their story in a way that is easily understood by Daniel. Some of the answers to Daniel’s question will surprise you or humor you.

As the story comes to a close, Daniel finds himself returning home after a day filled with exploration, adventure, and answers. His final question about God is to his mom and dad, who confirms what Daniel had learned on his journey: God is the Creator of all living creatures on the earth, under the earth, in the oceans and seas, and in the air.

This easy-to-read and colorful book allows a child’s imagination to wander and think what a creature would say if they could understand and respond to a question asked by a little boy named Daniel. Its message is timeless and eternal. Each page brings a different message than the last page read, so your child will, in anticipation, want to see what is next.

he goes on a quest to ask all the animals if they believe in God.

"My thoughts"

a very sweet cute story I loved the illustration they were so bright and beautiful wonderful use of colors. I another thing I would like to point out is how there is the use of multiple types of sentence structures to help children learn and become better readers. great for very young and say 1-2 graders both age groups can have fun with this book.

Things I enjoyed

as stated above I really really enjoyed the pictures it really brought it to life, especially for young children!

Daniel is a very curious boy therefore very relatable to young children.

Things I didn't like

the first page explaining that daniel our main character woke up and began the quest could have used a picture.

Do Animals Believe In God? by Carl Solomon Sr. Is a wonderful book that poses a question a lot of us ask ourselves and if animal lovers such as myself like to think they do too.

I read this book with my young niece and nephew in mind, and I think they would love the illustrations along with the message that animals love God and that God loves them in return.

I requested and received an Advanced Readers Copy from the publisher and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Daniel decides to ask various animals if they believe in God. When he had gathered a number of responses, he returns home and asks his parents the same question.

I thought the whole concept behind this book was brilliant. It explores not only a child's natural curiosity, but his curiosity about God and his spiritual growth. The answers he receives from the animals help to secure his faith. I've always told my children that robins sing praises to God morning and night, but this book makes all readers take notice that humans are not the only ones who can glorify God and appreciate the gifts they've been given.

This was a sweet story that I would share with my own daughter. The illustrations were vibrant and lovely. Each page depicted something magical and unique about God's creations and how they interact with Him. Each animal not only explains why they are praising God, but specific things that help them live a wonderful life on earth, This book will surely be a great gift for any child in your life.

Thank you Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Such a light and inspiring book! In my opinion, it would be very easy to understand for a child, and it portrays a great message. My favorite animal was the dog, because we all know God made them man's best friend!

This book was such a breath of fresh air to read to my boys. I love how it takes a topic that kids have so much interest in and makes it into a story that you can imagine reading to your kids each night.

As a parent or educator there are so many things we wish to teach our children but cannot simply sit them down in a chair, point our finger in their face and begin to teach and preach at them. And if even the mere idea of discussing anything to do with God with your children starts you having heart palpitations, fear no longer, because Carl Solomon Sr. has written, “Do Animals Believe in God?”

Not only does Solomon have more than 40 years experience in the Health-Science field, worked with the homeless, as a missionary, Sunday School teacher and has more credentials than a mama kangaroo can fit in her pouch, but he’s also a father and a grandfather. And now he is going to help us with our dilemma and open up the subject of both God and His creation by introducing us to Daniel.

Daniel is a young boy who decides he is going to spend the day trying to discover if God really exists. But what makes this unique is whom he is asking. Every animal that he comes across gets asked, “Do you believe in God?” And they don’t only give a simple “yes” or “no” answer. They give the “why” to the answer as well.

For instance, when Daniel asks a giraffe, “ Do you believe in God?” the giraffe tells him that he does. Then he explains the reason he does is because he’s grateful for the long neck God has given him in order to get at the food high in the trees. That way he can reach the leaves and berries he enjoys the most. The bear is also grateful to God for his big paws that allow him to scoop up large amounts of honey so that he’ll be prepared to hibernate through the winter. And the cow believes in God and is content to roam through green fields, munching sweet grass and providing milk. But it goes beyond just finding fulfillment in our purpose. Especially if we are viewing our purpose by what makes us useful to others. The little sea horse gets delight in his “stallion” body that allows him to gallop through the waves and the monkey is very happy and satisfied with his arms, legs and toes so that he can have his fun swinging through trees. And so Solomon creates a mental image of our God who loves to make each of us interesting, unique and, yes, always with a purpose, even if that purpose is simply to play.

And finally when Daniel’s day of exploring, learning and chatting with animals comes to an end, he finds his mother and father waiting for him. And he asks them the same question he’s been asking throughout the day, “Do you believe in God?”(So consider this your warning because it’s probably going to be coming at you too.) Because, if ever there was a children’s book written to be shared between parents and children, this is the one. Does any person, young or old, get confronted with a more important question than whether or not God exists?

This book is definitely meant for younger children. By the time they are over 7 years old, it will probably not hold their interest anymore. However, the illustrations are so beautiful and lush that even I, as an adult, spent some extra time just looking at them.

But if you look at this book as just a first step, setting a foundation for a life of faith for your children and leading them to even more and deeper questions, it becomes even more essential.

And if I could be so bold to suggest that once your children are too old to read this book with you anymore, why not just put the book aside for “memory times” and all of you head outside, doing your own nature exploration and asking your own questions. Finding answers, building faith and making memories.

I am not a parent myself so I probably would not have bought this book under my own initiative, so I am very grateful for the copy I received from Christian Faith Publishing, BooksGoSocial and through Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

And I thank you for once again spending your time to read another of my reviews.

This question posed by Daniel to all of the animals he encounters is one animal lovers and Christians pose as well, I do believe that animals love God and that God loves them in return. The illustrations are lifelike and the animals include butterflies, tortoises, kangaroos and even snakes,

This book is great to use with younger readers who may be exploring their faith. I will use this within the school that I teach as we are in the process on becoming a church school, I will most likely leave this for my children to reed in the prayerful space within our classroom.

A curious boys sets out to find out if animals believe in God. Each animal explains the gifts they have been given and how God has blessed them. It highlights how God protects the animals from harm and is with them always even when they’re sad. The illustrations are very captivating for kids with all of the animal variety. It’s a sweet book for children to focus on all the beauty around them. I know my children would of loved this book when they were younger. I think it’s perfect for younger children.

I really enjoyed the illustrations in this book, but I am not one who enjoys repetitive lines, so I didn't really enjoy the storyline. The main character asks all the animals if they believe in God and the animals reply with their different answers.

This is such a sweet little book to teach kids about faith and how every creature has a wonderful Father in Heaven that created them and cares so much for each and every animal and creature. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone seeking a faith- filled book for their little ones!

My Preschool Sunday School class loved this story. As Daniel goes on a journey to find out the answer to his very important question, he quickly finds out some very important reasons why animals believe in God. With the bright colorful pictures and the wonderful reasons why God loves each animal kept them enthralled till the ending. The story is brought full circle when Daniel returns home and asks his own parents if they believe in God and their perfect answer.
