Description

Love is in the air…

Accountant Leah Moore is no stranger to hard work. After all, she grew up on a Texas ranch before buying her own farm near Noah’s Crossing, Wisconsin. So, when handsome veterinarian Aidan Forester asks her to care for dozens of homeless animals during her busiest season, she agrees, even though she worries it’s more than she can handle.

But that isn’t the half of it. Because on top of work, planning a family reunion, and rescuing animals, Leah is falling for Aidan, and there’s nothing like love to throw everything into chaos.

Of course, Aidan is falling for Leah right back. How can he help it? But that’s bad, bad, bad. Because he’s pretty sure his older brother is in love with her, too. And that, when Patrick returns from his deployment overseas, the whole Forester family will be blown apart.

Will Aidan and Leah find the hope and trust and faith they need to claim their love and grow into the life God has waiting for them?

Leah’s Hope is the sixth book in Carol Voss’ Noah’s Crossing series. A loving story of faith, trust, and family, this inspirational romance novel is approximately 57,000 words.

This book is absolutely wonderful! It is full of family drama and the power to forgive hurts from the past through God's love. It is well written and keeps you turning the pages to see what happens next. This is a new-to-me author and I can't wait to read more of her books. Thank you Author Collective 20 via NetGalley for the complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Leah and Aidan are working together to help take care of animals when a local farmer gets hurt. She has the barn and property and he is a small town veterinarian. I enjoyed this story, although the side issues with both families got distracting at times. Minor though. Would highly recommend this book and author.

Leah is an accountant who loves animals. Aidan is a Vet. that has asked Leah to help with his boss's animals when his boss suffers a heart attack. Having to come to Leah's aid when things don't run smoothly a spark between them is lit, even though Leah has been writing Aidan's brother in the Army in Afghanistan.... a wonderful book if you love animals and has a spiritual lean. You won't want to put it down. Sweet story, wonderful series, recommended reading.

Leah’s Hope has all the ingredients for a great romance. Well written and entertaining plot, animals and a farm setting make this a great read. I highly recommend this book. I received an arc from the publisher and this is my unbiased review.

My Thoughts On Leah’s Hope by Carol Voss
Suggested Beverage Pairing: Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate served in a glass mug.
Characterization
Leah Moore is an interesting heroine. She’s not necessarily your typical romance novel heroine. She’s an accountant. She likes numbers and spreadsheets. Leah likes working on her own. She’s afraid to get close to anyone because they might leave her. So she’s built a wall.

But she also hasn’t. She bought a farm. Where she has a few animals. Apparently, in the past, has fostered animals in her barn. Her fostering barn even has a staff of volunteers. She then hedges when asked to take on animals into her fostering barn. Which seems odd. If you run a barn to foster farm animals, I expect you to say yes when you aren’t fostering any other animals. She is also very involved with groups within the small town of Noah’s Crossing.

It’s fair to say Leah is a bit of an oxymoron.

Aidan Forester is nothing if not loyal. He’s loyal to his business partner, his parents, his brother, and his community. He has not problem being loyal to Leah, until it interferes with staying loyal to everyone else.

Aidan is a veterinarian with a troubled family history based on his career choices. And yet, he quotes his mother’s sayings and scripture throughout the book.

The Plot
Five stars for Leah’s Hope based on it’s plot.

I did not know this was the sixth book in the series when I started reading this book, was reading this book, or finished reading this book. As I copied the blurb from the back of the book into this review is when I discovered it was part of series. This truly is a book able to stand alone.

Leah’s Hope was a strange title for this book, until it wasn’t. Leah’s personal development and spiritual growth was the focus of this book. Even though Aidan had his own hangups and struggles, he was always there to mentor Leah and ask her where her hope was.

While Leah and Aidan apparently had a relationship prior to this book, their love story seemed rushed within the confines of this book. In all reality, it was a few short days for them to go from friends to falling in a forever kind of love. Super quick.

Aidan asks Leah for a favor, Leah says yes, and Aidan helps her with the animals he’s convinced her to foster. A pen-pal situation has the whole town thinking there’s a relationship going on between Leah and a deployed man. So, things get crazy awkward as Leah and Aidan find themselves romantically drawn to each other.

Praying through all situations is a theme throughout the book. While religion isn’t preachy or forced throughout this inspirational romance, it is prevalent within real-life scenarios.

There is also a strong mental health piece to this book. It isn’t delved into deeply, but it is there.

Leah and Aidan began to work together to care for homeless animals, and in the process they fell in love. Will they have a happy ever after?

I enjoyed this love story that had some family drama added to it. The characters are great and I was cheering on Aidan and Leah to find their happily-ever-after. Their story has some twists and turns, and that kept me reading. Throw in all the animals, and you’ve got one of the sweetest books I’ve read this year. This was my first book to read from this author, but I’ll be looking for more to read from her.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book, the story was great and although it had a strong religious background it still worked and the story flowed well
I loved the main characters Leah and Aidan, they bonded over animals and when a local farm owner was taken ill and unable to look after his animal Leah took most of them on. Aidan is a vet and is also determined to help Leah, especially as he was the one who persuaded her to take them! Aidan is cautious around Leah as most of the town they live in considers her to be in a relationship with his brother who is in the army and overseas. In truth they are just friends
Both Leah and Aidan are well written and the story between them flows well and it highlights the difficulties that people can have with farming without support and a community who care
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a romance set in a countryside location with a lot of animals, main characters who you will love and a religious background
