Description

Mothers. Meddling. Matchmaking. What could possibly go wrong?

Best friends Maggie Barnes and Rina Thorn are fresh off their first successful matchmaking venture and are eager to help two new couples find love.

Raised by her 60’s hippie-culture grandparents, Allegra Highland is adventurous and always open to opportunities. As long as the two matchmakers don’t expect her to marry. There’s no way she’s going to get her heart broken when it doesn’t work out.

Prominent landscape architect Reese Walker lost his wife in a car accident five years ago and guards his heart. He’s shaken by their intense attraction. Are his feelings for Allegra a betrayal to the memory of his beloved wife?

Quinn Baxter is ready for the next phase of his life … marriage and family, but without the messy complication of love. He already knows the woman who fits his requirements, but his bridal candidate needs some stealth wooing to see things his way.

TeOnna Roberts knows she doesn’t check off all the requirements to be the perfect wife for Quinn. Besides, it isn’t possible to abide by his “no love” condition because she’s already fallen for him.

What a quick and lovely read about matchmakers who aren’t themselves looking for marriage. This was fun, and relatively romantic. A quick and delightful piece of literature, when you need something outside of the thrill and suspense funk, you might generally find yourself. When you need an easy read, a loving and quick witted take on friendship, then this is the one for you.

The characters are delightful, the prose comedic, and you are left with enjoyable material and still resonating in the folds of the women’s friendship. I enjoyed this very much.

*Thank you Netgalley, and the Publisher for providing me with this ARC in exchange of my honest review.

Autumn is a contemporary rom-com novel about two couples who were match fixed by two middle aged women, who want to make the couple believe in love. Its heartwarming and the characters were so relatable, since I have seen my grams match fix for my brother! Characters were well developed, although i felt the author overdosed the novel with more details. I skimmed through the middle pages. The flow of the story and the language was clear and easy to understand. The book is a second instalment in match making series, I will definitely read the first book to know more about the characters. Loved how this book made me feel!
Thank you authors, Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for this romantic read!

The second book of the Matchmaker Chronicles follows best friends Rina and Maggie as they try to help two new couples find their happily ever after.

I loved both (potential) couples and their characters were dynamic, relatable, believable and incredibly funny. I especially enjoyed the dynamic between the two meddling matchmakers and the notes of their matchmaking endeavors were hilarious.

The Matchmaker Chronicles are an entertaining, easy, and fresh read and I’m already looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Autumn, The Matchmaker Chronicles (Book 2) by Janis McCurry, Lynn Mapp

I don’t normally like to do this but…the description of the book had me hooked. Reading a 2nd book before the 1st is not something I would do. Will I understand what is going on? What am I missing? I thought: “well, why not, this looks so cute, and I could use some cute right now”. So I did it, I downloaded the book and snuggled in for a read.

Maggie Barnes and Rina Thorn, best friends and co-partners have a success rate of 2 for 2 and with their confidence boosted and their passion to help others are on a new mission of matchmaking. These are so cute, little lovable ladies.

The couples, because there are two at a time (double the fun!).

I love how the charactures are realistic and relatable. This was very enjoyable, feel good book. Looking forward to the next but first I will be looking for book 1 to read.

I quite enjoyed this tale of two matchmakers and the four people they set out to pair up. After a few missteps before (not covered in detail in this story) they have learned a few lessons on the art of finding mates for others. An easy read, it moved along well. I certainly wouldn't mind reading more about the duo, longtime friends who team up to help others find happiness.

Delightful romance title featuring two middle-aged ladies who have entered the realm of matchmaking.

Only they don't do it alone with their kids involved behind the scenes.

While this is the second title in a series, it can be read as a stand-alone (which I did.)

Overall, it was a fun book to read. Lots of humor woven into the mix. And it makes me want to head back to Idaho sometimes soon.
