Description

Mackenzie “Kiki” Forbes finds herself in a pickle.

Either become her snarky sister’s nanny, or move halfway across the country to work as assistant-to-the-stylist of a country music star. Neither job sounds ideal, although bedazzling cowboy boots may be a hell of a lot more interesting than ironing her brother-in-law’s underwear. But life on the road as the errand coffee girl for a sold-out tour leaves much to be desired. That is, until Kiki meets her sinfully sexy new boss’s boss…

Tatum Reed’s career is flying high. He’s up for country music’s Entertainer of the Year and he’s headed out on a nationwide sold-out tour. So why does he feel like it’s all about to implode? His superstar ex-girlfriend seems determined to make his life difficult, his opening act is a handful, and the new girl on his tour, the feisty brunette, is quickly getting under his skin. In this crazy world of showbusiness Tatum needs to learn who he can trust, but that doesn’t come easily, because the one person who holds all the cards may just throw them down and walk away.

Life in the public eye is never all it’s cracked up to be, which has both Kiki and Tatum questioning what they’re really doing with their careers, and their hearts.

Advance Praise

"""This book hits all of my contemporary romance buttons: hot sex, adorable banter, a fun supporting cast, gleeful highs and heartbreaking lows. There were several moments when I wanted to smack Kiki upside the head, but love can make even the smartest among us into idiots at times, and I couldn't fault her for those moments.

Coffee Girl got this reviewer out of a weeks-long reading slump. If you've ever been in one of those, you know it takes a certain kind of read to get you out of it. This book did it for me. Five enthusiastic, rhinestone-studded stars."" -Colleen Vanderlinden"

This book was just.. wow! I was so captivated by Kiki and Tate’s story. ⁣

Tate is a huge country super star who has been nominated for entertainer of the year. Unfortunately, his newest single with Country Sweetheart Savannah causes him to have to cross paths with her often, even though they’ve been broken up for months. ⁣

Kiki has just been let go by the men’s fashion magazine she styles for and is unemployed. When her crazy older sister offers her a job to be her nanny, she resorts to enlisting her brother's help in finding a new job. Cam finds her a job as Tate’s stylists assistant. Kiki will take just about any job as long as it’s not for her sister. But what she doesn’t expect is Tate to be so handsome and flirty with a coffee girl like her, when he dates superstars like Savannah. ⁣

First of all, any book that has song references in it has me sold. I loved Kiki and how shy she was at first with Tate. Tate was just… YUM. Their playful banter and building romance was so good! I loved how this was a bit of a slow burn too. This book is for all the girls who feel like underdogs. You deserve that superstar love! Don’t let other women make you feel insecure, there is something special about each and every one of you! Such a great book! You will be left swooning with your heart squeezing out of your chest! ⁣

REVIEW | Coffee Girl by Sophie Sinclair
.
When Kiki finds herself unemployed, she needs to find work fast. She ends up landing a spot as the assistant to the stylist of Tatum, a swoony country star.
.
I flew through this one in a day! It kept me turning the pages and I loved the accessible writing style. It reminded me a lot of The Happy Ever After Playlist, and in a good way.
.
Notable things I liked:
⭐️The characters were fun
⭐️The adorable lyrics
⭐️Any hero described as a Paul Walker lookalike 🙌🏼
⭐️The steam level 🔥🔥
⭐️The rockstar trope- I was on the fence about this trope but now I’m starting to dig it
.
Overall, I really enjoyed this one. Thank you netgalley and Sophie Sinclair for this ARC💗

Ahhh Coffee Girl is everything. Why didn’t I read this sooner?!? @sophiesinclairauthor has a way with words that gets you hooked and keeps you locked in. ⁣

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I started this book last night around 7pm. I normally go to bed by 830, I stayed up past midnight to finish this because it was THAT good. I couldn’t get enough. ⁣

The banter between Tatum and Kiki and the conversations between TJ and Kiki had me laughing out loud. There was just enough drama, humor, and romance to make this unputdownable.⁣

Did I mention Tatums band raises money for an animal rescue in this and there is a fat cat named Oreo? I always love me a book that supports animal rescue and has fur babes; fiction or not. ⁣

Sarah was such an awesome friend to Kiki and set an amazing example of how women should lift each other up, instead of bringing them down.⁣

I cannot WAIT for her story in book two. I’m going to go crazy waiting for it til May. #bookstagram #books #romance #romcom #countrystuds

Coffee Girl was such an unexpected gem of a novel! I was so impressed with Sophie Sinclair's debut novel and cannot wait to read the rest of the series. She reminds me of Christina Lauren's earlier works, for anyone else who is a fan! Coffee Girl is about Kiki, a girl who finds herself searching for a job and ends up employed by Tatum Reed, the biggest name in country music, as the assistant stylist on his tour. Her and Tatum have an adorable meet cute that of course involves coffee, and from there on out the tensions were high between the two as they try to navigate their feelings for each other in the crazy world of celebrities. Tatum comes with a lot of baggage- his high profile ex-girlfriend is furious at him for ending things and wants revenge and is constantly around stirring up trouble for Kiki and Tatum. Kiki also is finding herself on this tour, both professionally and has she begins to fall for Tatum. I thought this book had it all! It was funny, it was witty, it felt original, and I loved reading about them being on tour. I genuinely don't have enough good things to say!

Who wouldn’t want to join someone famous on tour, especially if that someone is a hunky country star? I sure would love it! I was SO excited when I saw Coffee Girl come up on netgalley in their Read Now section. I’ve only read good things about it!

Kiki is fired from her men’s stylist job and is offered either helping her sister and become a nanny (and yes that includes pressing her brother in laws underwear, no thank you!) or go on tour with a major country music singer. Rather than becoming a nanny, Kiki decides to go on tour, where she ends up meeting a handsome guy on her first day, as she spills coffee down her shirt. The hunk is of course none other than Tatum, the major country artist. Kiki and Tatums attraction grows, but will a relationship work when fame is on the lines?

I loved the romantic banter between Kiki and Tatum, the lyrics, real relationship problems, and so much more! Tatum is full of swoon, even if he is a little cocky, it worked for him. I also appreciated Kiki being a little self conscious, it made her so realistic!

This is Sophie Sinclair’s debut novel and it didn’t disappoint. I can’t wait to read Sarah’s story, she was such a fun character in Kikis story. If you’re a romance fan, like celebrity stories, steam and especially country music, I suggest you check out Coffee Girl!

I want to thank NetGalley and Sophie Sinclair for the ARC of Coffee Girl to read.
Kiki needs a job after losing hers. Her sister offers to hire her as a nanny for her children. Her brother says he knows of a job as an assistant to a stylist for a country singer. She takes the job and moves to Nashville.
She meets the singer in a not very pleasant way that involves a mishap with coffee she is getting for others.
The time on tour all over country brings its share of ups and downs. The chemistry between Kiki and Tatum is amazing.

The story has an amazing cast of people that you come to love and enjoy but has its share of not so nice people.
This is a fantastic debut book.

Kiki has just about given up on men, when she is trust into the world of country music star Tatum. He's totally out of her league, but she can't deny the attraction. Only she's not sure if all his flirting is just his natural charming behavior or it's true feelings. Filled with self doubt, only fueled even further when women of his past throw it in her face, Kiki has to decide if she wants to trust the star or move on before things get too involved. Plenty of up and downs. Quite a bit of humor. Some sexy times. A little swooniness. The characters are fun. Of course there are the typical 'mean girl' or two. It's a pretty fun read, though it did get redundant abit with how Kiki's character was constantly reminding us how she was a nobody and a big star like Tatum couldn't possible like her. I could have done with less of that, but otherwise it was an enjoyable read. It alternates between POVs.

I could really relate to Kiki she is just a normal girl just trying to find her way in life. The lost of her job, Kiki’s bad dating life and the love of her cat “Oreo”. If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought the book was real, with all the twists and turns I felt like I was in the moment with her and I really enjoyed it. I got to admit Touché to Sophie Sinclair those smut scenes were amazing! I went through all the emotions with this book! I didn’t want it to end!

I would give a 4 out of 5 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next books.

Coffee Girl was an unexpected gem for me that I couldn’t put down. For a debut novel, this was well-written and the cast of characters were so enjoyable (with a few villainous exceptions, of course!).

The book follows Kiki, a girl who finds herself employed as a styling assistant by Country music’s hottest star, Tatum Reed. She and Tatum have an adorable meet cute involving coffee, which leads us on enjoyable ride as the two navigate their feelings toward one another while touring the country. It was a fun, fast-paced storyline with a great backstage view of life on the road. I was a little put off at times by some of the interactions, but found myself laughing out loud at the banter between Coffee Girl and Tator Tot, and Kiki and her best friend TJ. Overall, I thought this was a fun, witty romcom that has me excited for Sinclair’s next book which follows the character Sarah.

Thank you to Netgalley and Sophie Sinclair for an advanced copy. This is one you won’t want to miss!

I say this alot but I don't know why I have waited so long to read this! I'm always very hesitant with trying new authors but I don't know why as this was AMAZING!
Rockstar romances are my favourite trope but this was my first based around a country music star.
Tatum is going on tour with his band and is in the process of ending things with his girlfriend of 2 years who is also a country music star.
Kiki is down on her luck atm. Shes had a string of bad dates, lost her job as a stylist for a magazine and could possibly end up losing her apartment. To add insult to injury her snooty sister had offered her a job as her nanny/housemaid/general dogs body. Kiki hate the idea of working her her sister so begs her brother to help. He gets in touch with his friend Lee who gets her a job as Tatums bands stylists assistant. Not being into country music Kiki has no idea who Tatum is and although the job is mainly getting coffees and general housekeeping jobs she takes it and moves to Nashville with the hopes of proving her worth to her boss Jess.
Ahhh Coffee Girl and Tater Tot you 2 are just 😍😍😍 the slow burn between them was great. Tatum was mesmerised by l Kiki from the off but being a star he try to fight his instincts but can't stay away. Kiki is very cautious of Tatum after all his ex is a gorgeous music star and he could have his pick of any woman. They get a lot of crossed wires at the beginning but the outcome was so worth it.
This book was everything I love in a romance, funny, steamy and dramatic without being too ott. I loved Kikis friendship with TJ and Sarah. Her chats with TJ had me in stitches especially with be text message mix up. This was such a good story I started in at midnight and stayed up till 3am I didn't want to put it down and for me that's the sign of great read. I was so absorbed in it I didn't want to stop. The characters were well written and I loved Kikis sass and Tatums confidence and charm. I wouldn't hesitate to read anything by Sophie Sinclair again and can't wait to read the next installment with Sarah and Lex

Kiki has a choice to make after losing her job, become a nanny for her annoying sister or go on tour with a country band as a stylist! She chooses the latter and falls for the lead singer Tatum. The story comes from both Kiki and Tatums perspective and kept me turning page after page. This light hearted romance is thoroughly enjoyable, and I would recommend. I saw this title by chance on NetGalley and read the description. It sounded like a fun read and it certainly was. I read it in 1 sitting. I can’t believe it is the authors first novel. It was excellent all the way through. All the characters were really well written and although the storyline was a bit far fetched it was a really great read. I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like about the story and I am really looking forward to read Sarah’s story which I believe is out soon.

This was a super fun and easy book to read and just what I needed.

A lighthearted rom-com set in the sexy world of young country music stars, its one of those books you don't have to think through and take anything too seriously, just enjoy it for what it is.

Full of beautiful people, hot characters and steamy sex scenes to make you blush I breezed through this one in a day.

Thoroughly recommend anytime you are looking for some carefree escapism.

This was a fun (and funny) romance between two people from very different backgrounds. Tatum, the famous country superstar and Kiki, a girl taking a much needed job on Tatum’s tour have great Chemistry. As they begin to develop feelings for each other, things keep getting in the way of their happiness - ex girlfriends, crazy fans and the press to sabotage their relationship. Can they ever make it work? I also loved the other characters, TJ and Sarah. Can’t wait to read Sarah’s story!

Kiki is out of a job and has no place to live when her brother helps her find a new job styling a country star on his tour. Tatum (said country star) is fresh out of a “relationship” that he was faking for the tabloids when he runs into Kiki and sparks fly. Can they avoid the mutual attraction and work together in close quarters on the tour?

This book was so cute! The characters were funny and enjoyable, the plot moved at a nice pace, and the resolution was happy. What more could you ask for in a rom com?! There was quite a bit of steam in the middle there (almost too much for me, TBH) but I enjoyed everything else so much that I didn’t mind! I am excited for the second book in the series and will definitely check it out. I’m so glad a friend recommended this one to me!

Who wouldn't want to fall with Tatum?

It has been a while since I have been this enchanted by a contemporary romance. I was seriously not expecting to love this as much as I did. I must say, I might be completely enamored with Sophie Sinclair at the moment.

Coffee Girl was funny, sometimes laugh out loud (unintentionally) so. Which, wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't been mainlining this book until 4 in the morning. (It was rather pathetic really. I had realized I was coming up on my husband's time to get up but I was so desperately enchanted by the book. So I augmented all my screen settings so I could finish it in the dark as to not get another harumph about the damn light being on and reading so late blah,blah,blah...)

I needed this book in my life. It was sweet and funny and just all the things you need when you need a bit of sunshine in your day. I sometimes have mixed feelings about rock star books, let alone Country rock stars but... this was good. I LOVED that the author included the song lyrics being dabbled or sung or previously written... gah, some of them were a bit tear-inducing (maybe I'm just particularly susceptible right now, who knows). I'm not particularly a teary, swoony person but sometimes you just the 1, 2 punch right at the precise moment and BAM... So... that totally, maybe happened for me here. The steam was oh, so steamy and the swoon (unfortunately for my street cred) sort-of happened.

I loved the side characters and so hope we get more from the band members and/or the other secondary characters (Kiki's brother, her bestie TJ, Sarah, Jess, etc...). Ohh, or they all get meshed together. YES! That would be awesome! I think my dreams are going to come true with the next in the series "The Makeup Artist". Yay! SOOOO excited for that one!

I definitely recommend for those looking for a little sunshiney, yummy, and fun romance pick me up!

Oh my gosh this book! Sophie Sinclair takes a common storyline and brings it to a whole new level. Kiki and Tatum are amazing lead characters in a book that keeps you interested from cover to cover. Tatum is at the top of his game in the country music world, Kiki Is just getting started again after getting fired from her job at a magazine. She takes a job as an assistant to the stylist on Tatum‘s tour. The chemistry between Tatum and Kiki is off the charts from the beginning. I cannot recommend this book more highly I enjoy every bit of it and I have already pre-ordered the second book, The make up artist. It doesn’t come out until May 1, and I cannot wait!

The synopsis of this book immediately drew me in. A singer/songwriter falls for a commoner. Sign me up! The characters were well developed. I enjoyed the cockiness that Tatum had as well as the down to earth vibe that Kiki brought. Initially, I was a bit concerned that the relationship that was developing was merely physical attraction, and boy was it a bit steamy at times.

I was pleased as I continued in the story that their emotional aspect was evolving as well. This was fast-paced and at times witty. I enjoyed the secondary characters in this novel a great deal as well. This was my first book of Sophie Sinclairs. I will definitely be looking for more of her work.

This book follows the life of Kiki, who after being let go gets a job as an assistant stylist of the major country star Tatum. Their connection is instant and they quickly become 'Coffee Girl' and 'Tater Tot'. There are a lot of complications and ups and downs when it comes to falling in love with a super star. This is a good read, it has some very entertaining parts and some parts that were so embarrassing for the characters that I had to actually put my kindle down. Overall it was a great book, the only criticism would be the front cover, if it wasn't recommended to me by a friend it isn't something I would have picked up myself.

Do you ever have one of those days? When nothing ever goes quite right? And you spill coffee over your interview clothes? [or worse - think red on white trousers ].
Well our intrepid heroine has a bad day - or two in this book and earns the nickname Coffee Girl due to her spillage.
I have to say though, I’ve never heard of such complicated orders as some people give for coffee - ‘large skinny Latte, with extra foam, light swirl of caramel, hint of shaken salt, 2.5 pumps of vanilla, splash of extra hot water, 1.5 packets of splenda’.
You have to wonder how many different combinations of all these items they had been through to be so specific.
And I love Oreo and do understand why he is a house cat. Maine Coons are often kept indoors as they are often stolen, but I’d rather have one who could go outside. I looked at the rescue sites for a Maine Coon and a Norwegian Forest cat as we may get another cat soon, and they both say must be kept indoors. So despite my love of these breeds, I shan’t be getting one.
Overall this was a sweet story with the usual ups and downs of the genre and some reality about just how uncomfortable it can be touring with a rock band. That said, the lyrics never make a lot of sense to me and country music is always heart break and sad songs so not my scene at all.

Coffee Girl by Sophie Sinclair

When 26 year old Kiki if fired from her job as a stylist at a men's fashion magazine and is offered the position of nanny by her 'oh so perfect' sister and family she can think of nothing worse. To avoid playing house she chooses to up sticks and move to Nashville where she takes the job of assistant stylist to up and coming country star Tatum Reed.
Tatum Reed is the heart throb of Nashville with a singing career that is going places. After having broken up with his long term fellow singer girlfriend Savannah Edwards Tatum is feeling lost and unlucky in love, until he meets his Coffee Girl.
While on tour Kiki and Tatum's friendship blossoms into a steamy relationship with plenty of ups and downs along the way.

Coffee Girl was a fab little read. The story line had me teary with laughter, smiling and cringing in all the right places, it's a perfect example of romantic literature. We've all definitely fantasized about dating a famous rock star! I read this on a whim because I wasn't in the mood to read the books I already had, I'm very glad I did and I'd definitely be interested in reading more from Sophie Sinclair.

Oh the steam!!
Kiki has just been payed off. And he only prospect is to be the nanny and housekeeper for her sister, who is nothing less than a micromanaging show off. So when the opportunity to be an assistant stylist to a country music star, there is nothing to hold her back. While her first impression wasn't what she had hoped for, Tatum finds her endearing. And so begins the romance of a country superstar and the girl he can't get enough of.
I loved the way Tatum was so understanding of Kiki not being used to the lime light. He didn't get frustrated with her feeling insecure. He wasn't afraid to spell out his emotions. He oozed sexiness. I liked the back and forth points of view.
I don't really care for Kiki's nickname, it makes her sound like a little kid. I think she would be more of a Mac, to suit her tomboy childhood. I felt like she did have the same insecure argument with herself, but I did notice she saw this in herself and was really trying to work on it.
Sarah was a wonderful supportive character and I found her honesty and friendship inspiring.
And again I say, the steam!!

As a country music lover I was excited to read a romance featuring a country music star and I was not disappointed. A lot of the book was set in Nashville and I enjoyed the quick shoutouts Sophie Sinclair gave to The Ryman and The Opry. I thought Sinclair’s choice to write a scene set in the legendary Bluebird Cafe was a brilliant way to wrap up the story while honouring the Nashville music scene.

Main character Kiki loses her job and needs to find something new quickly if she wants to avoid having to work as a nanny/maid/personal slave for her social climbing sister. Luckily her brother is friends with country music star Tatum’s manager and helps her land a job as assistant to the band’s stylist. Kiki was an easy main character to relate to. As a professional she knows her worth and works hard to prove herself to her new boss. She had personal insecurities but, with the help of her friend Sarah, didn’t let them get the best of her.

Tatum was the perfect love interest and the banter between him and Kiki had me smiling throughout the book. It’s not all smooth sailing for the pair thanks to Tatum’s ex-girlfriend and another character both trying to manipulate Tatum for their own gain but don’t worry there is a happy ending!

What I enjoyed most about this book was the way Sinclair incorporated country music throughout the entire story. When Tatum and Kiki first start getting to know each other they play their favourite songs and this really helped drive home that music is Tatum’s passion and that this is the world Kiki has landed in. If you know the songs or are able to look them up while reading it brings so much depth the scene. I also liked that these moments mentioned lesser known songs like Devin Dawson’s ‘Dark Horse’ rather than only choosing from very well known artists. Don’t worry though - the big names are in there too!

My favourite supporting character was Sarah. She is working as a makeup artist on the tour and quickly becomes friends with Kiki. She shows Kiki the ropes and gives great advice while encouraging her to have fun on tour. Sarah’s story ‘The Makeup Artist’ will be released on the 1st May 2020 and I’m excited to see more of her and handsome band member Lex!

I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.

Wow! Coffee Girl entered my life entirely unexpectedly, just like Kiki Forbes did for Tatum Reed. This book earns all the stars from me. I am a huge country music fan, and this book filled a fantasy I didn't even know I was craving. This hilarious and romantic story took me backstage and provided a glimpse of the drama and struggles of life tours on the road. Once I started this book, I was hooked and couldn't stop reading! I fell in love with all the characters and wish they could be my friends in real life. I didn't want this story to end. Now I cannot wait to read the next book, The Makeup Artist by Sophie Sinclair, and continue this adventure or music and love. #CoffeeGirl #NetGalley

Coffee Girl was everything I wanted in a contemporary romance. It was so well written, with strong characters and a great story arch. I thought Kiki was so relatable, as a woman in her 20s trying to figure out her life. She's career focused, but also doesn't shy away from a chance at love. Tatum was a mix of adorably cocky and down to earth about the things that truly matter. He values relationships over fame, which was nice to see in the hero, especially one who was such a famous heartthrob. I enjoyed the pacing of this book, and thought the conflict was reasonable and the resolution was so satisfying. It definitely had the perfect ending!

This book was lighthearted and easy to follow. The lead girl (Kiki) is headstrong and doesn’t easily give into the guy (Tatum). Both were strong characters and likeable. I liked that it was from the perspective of both of the lead characters.
The country music theme was different but I did find it parts it dragged a little and was predictable. I would like to see what happens to Lex and Sarah.

I thoroughly enjoyed being in Tatum and Kiki's world. How cool would it be to be on tour with a famous singer? This is Kiki's life, assistant stylist to Tatum, the country's biggest country music star. Throw in a solid love story, some steamy scenes, an ex wanting revenge and fabulous best friends - what more could you want in a book?  Funny, cute and entertaining, I can't wait to read book 2 in the series!!

WOW! This book took me all of 4 hours to read and I loved every second of it. love the enemies to lovers and books set in the music industry, they are so fun and keep me interested.
.
I loved Kiki’s family dynamic! Her relationship with her brother is adorable and he’s so protective of her. Her sister is so crazy and controlling and I couldn’t stop laughing during her scenes with her because of how ridiculous she is. Kiki’s friendship with Sarah, the makeup artist (there is a book coming out about her next..fireworks) is so sweet and I’m so glad they were there for each other. And Tate…he is dreamy and so sweet to Kiki and I loved so much about him (add heart eyes) There is lots of steam in this book btw!
.
I can not say enough amazing things about this book and can't wait to read more by this author!!

I would recommend Coffee Girl by Sophie Sinclair to any romance book lover. My friends have been recommending this book to me for months and they were completely right. I have to say that at first I was unsure about this book going in because I am not typically a fan of "rock star romance" books, but this book was really well done. I really connected to the main charter, Kiki. Her story, personality and feelings were very relatable. The only negative thing I could say is that it ended too quickly and I wanted more in the end. I was excited to find out that I read it just in time to read it's sequel, "The Makeup Artist"!

This book was so adorable. I finished it in one sitting. The characters were so funny, I love me some good banter! Sometimes I get annoyed with the whole "I'm out of so and so's league" thing, but I get where kiki was coming from. Her and Tatum were so cute! This was a feel good book and I loved it.

4.5 ⭐️

Fired from her men’s stylist job in her hometown of San Francisco, Kiki lands a styling assistant gig to a popular country band and moves to Nashville. She bumps into a sexy man at the coffee shop, spilling coffee all over herself, only later to find out was Tatum—the lead singer of said popular country band. The undeniable attraction grows tension, but would the fame and business rise above the love and relationship? Or vice versa?

I love me celebrity romances, especially when it’s between a male celebrity and an ordinary heroine (i.e. Waiting for Tom Hanks, The HEA Playlist, Simply Starstruck)! And, Coffee Girl brought on hilarious dialogue, fun characters, a swoony male lead, and a healthy side of steam. I enjoyed all the tension, the build-up, and how the story was executed. Because I loved You’d Be Mine, gotta love it when there are country song lyrics included!

Coffee Girl is an entertaining and satisfying story about the country music industry.
I love stories about musicians and life on the road, so this was a perfect read.

This story is about Tatum, country music's hottest star. He is a big flirt and he is also sexy, charming and an all around nice guy. Tatum has had to make many sacrifices for his fame and sometimes, he wonders if it is all worth it.

After losing her job as a stylist for a magazine, Kiki has no choice but to take a job as an assistant to Tatum’s stylist. It is a demotion, but Kiki has bills to pay and no other job offers on the horizon. Kiki has no interest in county music and no idea who Tatum is when she first meets him.

Tatum and Kiki are immediately attracted to each other but it seems one thing or another keeps them apart. I liked these two together and hoped they would work things out. This is an Intoxicating love story with great dynamics between the characters. I enjoyed the behind the scenes look at the music industry and what life on the road is really like.

An enjoyable and entertaining read:
I don't usually go for celebrity music stories but thankfully this was more than just a groupie fan falling for the star. There were plenty of misunderstandings and challenges to overcome, not least of which was the fact that Tatum was Kiki's boss and hence off limits. You could really feel their connection and their journey came across as real and authentic.
I enjoyed the humor and banter. There was also tons of drama and I didn't care for all of the back stabbing, but sadly I guess it goes with the territory. What I did really enjoy was the epilogue and post epilogue and appreciated that the author took the time to wrap things up and set the stage for the remainder of the series. I already have the next book lined up and can't wait to see what happens next with this group of friends.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

Received as an ARC from netgalley for an honest opinion and review. Kiki has just lost her job, and has been down on her luck with her recent dates. After her older sister offers her a cringe worthy job as a nanny and almost personal slave for very little money she reaches out to her brother for help. Her brothet helps her get a job as an second assistant/coffee/errand girl for a country singer on tour. While the tour is starting out the sparks between her and the lead singer fly!

Kiki is currently unemployed and needs to make a decision, become her sister’s nanny or move halfway across country to work as an stylist of a country music star. Life on the road leaves much to be desired until she meets her sexy new boss. Tatum’s career is flying high, but he feels like his life is about to implode, his ex-girlfriend is determined to make his life difficult, his opening act is a handful and the new girl is quickly getting under his skin.

This sweet and funny story was amazing, it was sexy, easy to read and made me laugh out loud. It’s a perfect read for these days and there’s already a second book in this series that I can’t wait to start.

Mackenzie Leigh Forbes or Kiki is a stylist at a fashion magazine called Cufflinks. She is fired from her job after their company is acquired by another one. She has two options in hand either to become a nanny to her arrogant and snobby sister or to work as an assistant to the stylist of a country-rock star Tatum Reed and she chooses the latter. The sparks ignite as the two of them get close while working together.

First of all this book was really good. I loved Kiki’s friendship with Sarah and TJ, Her sarcastic interaction with her elder sister, and how supporting her elder brother is to her. Tatum’s bond with his best friend Lex Ryan the lead guitarist in his band. Kiki and Tatum were awesome.

In all this is a very enjoyable book. I recommend this book to all the fans of contemporary romance. There are great characters, lovely story, vamps, and drama. I liked the writing style. Thank you @netgalley for the digital copy.

Really enjoyed this book.

The banter between the two main characters is great and often hilarious. The characters are likeable but not predictable.

Not quite as hot and steamy as I thought it was going to be but a great easy Summer/holiday read.

What an easy read to fill my country-bumpkin heart with a laugh and some romance. If you're in the mood for a lighthearted, predictable romcom-type-of-book, this is the one for you.

I have to say that timing is everything for reading a book, so when picked this one up some time ago, it was just what I needed and I appreciate the time I spent engaging in such a story.
