This is the third book in this series. I have enjoyed all three of them. Contains romance, mystery, paranormal, and a family curse

A romantic thriller, Resisting Siobhan was an enjoyable read for me. This is the third in the series, but my first. I would give it three and a half stars

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I have enjoyed this series of the McKenna's and their ancestor's curse that endangers their love's life. In this book, Siobhan, decided that she would break things off with Clay because she didn't want to be responsible for his death from the curse. Instead, she married a man that she didn't love thinking that would keep him safe.

When things are going pretty badly for Siobhan, Clay comes back into her life to help keep her ranch from failing. There are just too many things going wrong on the ranch for this to be just coincidence and the list of suspects is pretty long.

Since it is not usually the person that seems the most likely, I was kind of right in who I picked but never saw the reason behind it. And wow, was that a doozy, I had to re-read that part as I just could not believe it!! Also, there were two culprits and one was one of the likely suspects - so hopefully I was not giving too much away, and not ruining the story with any spoilers.

There is just non-stop action as they try to keep things from escalating and always dealing with new problems as they also try to figure out who killed Jeff and why. Clay and Siobhan got their HEA but not sure that I could be as forgiving as Clay!

I do so love a story when it has a taste of paranormal to it. Siobhan believes in the curse that is on her family. It does make her a widow so it would seem so did she make it safe? When trouble still comes her way it would seem that he is the one to help and Clay steps in that path. The intensity and intrigue will start rising with us trying not to shy away. We want the answers I want to see it squished also. Keep those pages turning with you seeing what kind of burn love can do.

Fast paced romantic suspense with great characters. This third book is the best so far. Siobhan and Clay have a second chance at love and it's not an easy road. The mystery in this one is intense and action packed. I guessed the villain early but was shocked by the why I never saw coming. I wish there had been more from Jeff in some form but that was the only thing I felt like was left missing something. I'm ready for the next book.

The psychic link that was mentioned in the book information was something that the story got into a bit deeper than I expected. It not only included the main characters but also included the horses on the ranch and elsewhere. So that was a bit more than I would have liked BUT it turned out to be an important part of the story.

Siobhan was interesting if somewhat fearful and superstitious. Although to be fair she'd been raised on this legend of love being doomed. Still later in the story I wanted to smack her in the head a time or two.
Clay was a good guy who doing good things with his life after the worst rejection from Siobhan. His pain drove him to connect with his Native American grandfather. His grandfather taught him a lot during the short time they were together. He didn't grow up with him but they still kept the relationship alive.
There is plenty of mischief and dangerous plots that being played out against Siobhan and her ranch. There are several players who could be the villains in this piece. Early Farnum, Buck Hale to name a few questionable people. Are they working together or alone or is their another team? Buck Hale hires a known troublemaker and ex-con named Paco Vargas. Vargas is NOT a good guy. But how does he figure into these mysteries?
Jacy is Siobhan's sister-in-law who is so often disagreeable that she ends up adding even more tension to an already tense situation.
There is an "ugly" twist coming that is so well done and it leads to answering a whole lot of questions. Overall a good ending for the book!

Resisting Siobhan is the third instalment in Patricia Rosemoor’s The McKenna Curse and continues to intrigue and captivate readers with the events that are attributed to the family curse. Siobhan and Clay are thrust together after years of separation and Siobhan’s determination to protect Clay from the McKenna Curse. But she didn’t protect the man she did marry, so it seems that this mystery must be resolved before any prospective spouse will truly be safe. I really enjoyed this book; the storyline was interesting, and the characters complimented each other perfectly. I’m more and more intrigued, as to how it will all play out. Bring on book 4!
