ABC Earth-Friendly Me presents 26 things—from Action to Zero waste and everything in between—that eco-conscious kids and their families can do to help care for the Earth.

Pairing aspects of eco-friendly living with each letter of the alphabet, this durable board book is not only perfect for teaching young children their ABCs, but also for encouraging them to be aware of the impact they have on the environment.

The content empowers young children, showing them that even their small choices make a big difference. The engaging illustrations, fun rhyming text, and simple concepts introduce children to an eco-friendly lifestyle. To help, kids can plant flowers for pollinating bees, eat more fruits and vegetables, share or swap old toys, help their parents air-dry laundry, and learn about animals and their habitats.

Environmental terms throughout, such as "pollination," "biodegradable," "pollution," and "preservation," have easy-to-understand, kid-friendly definitions in the back of the book. A spread elaborating on additional things kids can do, such as riding a bike, creating a new toy from old stuff, and hunting for a unique pre-owned item at the thrift store, shows easy and fun ways to help out!

ABC Earth-Friendly Me shows that every member of the family—even the smallest one—can protect our planet Earth. This is the perfect book to inspire the next generation of eco-conscious kids, while teaching them the alphabet at the same time. Learning the ABCs has never been so green and so much fun!

The ABC for Me series presents a world of possibilities from A to Z and everything in between! For all little kids with big dreams, the endearing illustrations and mindful concepts in this series pair each letter of the alphabet with words that promote big dreams, inclusion, acceptance, healthy living, and other key concepts important to emotional well-being. ABC Earth-Friendly Me is a wonderful introduction to taking care of the Earth. The alphabet portion of the book is filled with brightly colored illustrations and simple text alongside important words for creating an earth-friendly environment. The text flows and gives even the youngest readers ideas for how to help.
Once the ABC portion is over the book gives tangible ideas for how to help and then has a bit of a word recap in the back.
Love this book and the series!

A very colorful and interesting book to introduce children about the importance of environment.
Words selected alphabetically are relevant, easy and understandable for young children.
Only thing that was a little put off was rhyming. That was inconsistent and felt like forced attempt.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy to review. I cannot wait to gift this book to my kids, nieces, nephews, and my classroom. The beautiful illustrations capture the essence of each short alphabet action item. There are 26 practical actions for the reader to adopt to help our planet. This is a must have book for every library, home, and classroom.

This was cute and sweet. I liked the idea and the words selected. The explanations were good, too, but the rhyme scheme was irregular and that bothered me. But that's just a personal taste thing.

Love, love, love it!!! Hugely informative in a really interesting and succinct way with gorgeous bright, bold illustrations. Set out in an A-Z format, this book explains to children how they can be more environmentally friendly. It is a discussion starter and provides great ideas for adults for things to do with their children too. The ‘What is?’ Section at the end is so good at explaining certain concepts and terms mentioned throughout. It was perfect for my 4 and 6 year old and I think this would be great for classroom learning too.

This is a great book to begin teaching the littlest ones about how to care for our planet. Going through every letter of the alphabet (which is an added plus for education) Christiane Engel gives children something small enough to understand about how they can make a difference in caring for the earth. It is bright and colorful. It also includes a glossary in the back for some of those bigger words like organic and pollution. This book is a beginner understanding at its finest. Kids can walk away from this book feeling empowered and smart.

This book is so so important for young children. They need to be educated about our climatic conditions and about the ways to save our planet from a very young age. This book does a great job in that regards. The illustrations are beautiful and the writing is fair simple so the young kids will have no difficulty in understanding it. Great book!

ABC for Me: ABC Earth Friendly Me' is much more than a basic ABC book. It gives a description for each letters word. I can also see this being a perfect book for teachers or parents to plan lessons around. Each letter can easily be the focus for it's own lesson.

This is a great book to introduce eco topics to children. I think each page is an opener for a whole topic/project. The pictures are bright and inviting. Although the text is very concise and so is aimed at younger children, the content is much more advanced and would need explaining.

My 8-year-old walked into the room as I was reading ABC Earth-Friendly Me, and she immediately sat down next to me and started reading it, too. (Always a good sign for a children's book!) I loved the diversity included in the illustrations and all the fun (and simple!) ideas to become more earth-friendly as a family. The glossary in the back was a nice touch for older readers who want to learn more!

Full of bright colors and cutely stylistic artwork, ABC Earth-Friendly Me is a great introduction to Earth stewardship and environmentalism for children. As is usually my opinion, the rhyming was unnecessary but cute and the ABCs is used more as a device than actually teaching the ABC sounds to beginner readers (the K word they chose is "Knowledge"), but this is a nice resource with even more info in the back matter.

I love the other ones in the series of these 'ABC What Will She Be?' And 'ABC Love' both right up my street, in terms of the morals and values I'm keen to teach my daughter!

This newest title is so relevant right now, has bright and colourful illustrations throughout and is a must have for any bookshelf!

This alphabet book for young children is designed with the planet in mind.  It includes many suggestions for ways to take care of our earth.  For example the letter C is for compost, F is for fix it (instead of throwing things out), and R is for recycle.  The illustrations are cute and cheerful.  Hopefully this title will inspire our next generations of eco activists.

This is a fabulous book to discuss with children the importance of taking care of our environment. This shows various ways to do just that such as composting, reusing, saying no to single use plastic, and swapping. It also has a glossary in the back with definitions to more difficult words in the book.

This is a fabulous children's book with beautiful illustrations and very informative writing. My daughter and I learned a lot by reading this book together and it is a book that I will read more with her. She enjoyed looking at the illustrations while I read the words to her.

The book shows how to be more earth friendly, while each description relates to a letter of the alphabet. We learned how to recycle and donate unwanted items, how to save water, how to have less waste, how to compost, that we should do more in our local community, that we should make our own items, that we should use less plastic, how the trees and bees help us and much more! This would be a great book to use in schools. We loved this book.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

My eight and five year old loved this book and I was so happy to have the learning aspect of this explained in a clear way! The way I read this book to them made it easy for them interactive with me throughout the story and while there was a good handful of information they never bored or uninterested! This is a great way to teach kids and show how deeply it relates to their life and what they can do to help or change.

The alphabet done to be earthly friendly really does work. The words chosen for various letters are not a stretch and even invite new vocabulary. However the snippets to go with each word are sometimes harsh. They try to rhyme, but more often than not miss a cadence which makes reading fun. The information is still good and interesting, so overall the book is a success.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

ABC Earth-Friendly me is a fantastic early learning book which not only helps teach young children the alphabet but also teaches them from a young age about caring for the world we live in.

This book has bright and beautiful illustrations and is gold in rhyming format.

This is such an important topic today and you can never start too young or even too old for that matter in learning how to help and make a difference.

I enjoyed this alphabet book. I always enjoy rhyming in picture books and I appreciated that in this one. I think that the topics introduced in this book are great to start to introduce to little ones. Everything that this book talks about is something that the little ones can do on their own or help grown-ups with. I did want just a bit more about each topic that was introduced. I can't wait to buy this for the little ones in my life.
