Description

Kerry Vance is a legend, a leather-lunged, Grammy-nominated, heavy metal madman. When he dies under mysterious circumstances at the start of his latest European tour, his fans are crushed. To the outside world it looks like just another rock-n-roll tragedy, another talented musician done in by excess. But there is much more at play than his family and friends realize.

As they try to come to terms with their loss, a mysterious woman from Kerry’s past comes to them and tells them that his death was no accident. And if things are to be set right, they’ll have to be willing to put everything on the line.

Good stuff. There are a number of helpful reviews from smart readers, and since I can't add anything helpful, I'll just recommend it to mystery fans.

Thanks very much for the review copy!!

Kerry was a musician who lived his life through music. When he was found dead from a suspected heroin overdose those close to him knew there was something not right about it. When an old friend Calliope receives a package from Kerry giving explicit instructions that are to be carried out once his body lands back in America it starts a journey of reconnection, healing, forgiveness and new beginnings.
There is however Kerry’s ex wife Carol to deal with and she is definitely a woman scorned and has an axe to grind.
This made me laugh and cry. Once I started the book I did not want to put it down and so it is now after 3 in the morning as I am writing this.
I loved learning about the characters even Carol and her twisted way of thinking. There was enough background detail that made sure you were informed but not too much that it became to heavy. The touch of fantasy was an interesting inclusion in the story as well that was not out of place. Overall a really enjoyable read
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for a copy of this eARC in exchange for an honest review
