When poacher-turned-burglar Dan Mallett meets Eddie Birch — a rich London businessman — at a local gymkhana, Dan senses that Birch is more than he seems.

Having been born on Albany Farm, Birch is determined to buy back the land. But the current proprietors — the elderly but tough Hadfield sisters — are unwilling to sell.

Furious, Birch buys a nearby cottage and blocks the only route to the Hadfields’ isolated farmhouse. Surrounded by gangsters in Birch’s employ, the sisters soon find themselves under siege.

Just when all seems lost, an unexpected night-time visit from Dan gives them a chance to fight for their home.

But with the police after him for his recent crimes, Dan must find a way to protect the Hadfields while saving his own skin…

Can Dan foil Birch before the sisters come to further harm…?
