So the suspense in this story had me captivated! I was on the edge of my seat wondering if they would all work it out or if the disaster would cause heart break.

This was a fun read, though I wanted a better ending for Victoria's friend. However, it sounds like that will be the second book.

Kindly received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

What a roller-coaster! And by that I mean one so crazy you don't know if you're too sick or if you actually liked it. This book is really hard to review.

This is the story of Victoria, a so called matchmaker, and Mark, a man in need of a wife in order to get access to his trust fund. We have a matchmaker who doesn't believe in love and who actually arranges marriages for rich families, who ends up discovering love with the wrong guy, a man she tries to match with her best friend.

The story gets so complex and confusing, with each character having a different goal - it's as crazy as life itself! So many things and details seem so far fetched yet when you take a step back you realize they can easily happen in real life.

I didn't like all this drama, all the hidden agendas and mixed feelings. There was too much of this for my taste. The heroine even does a hurtful thing that has consequences for the hero, she is by no means perfect. Almost none of the characters are, they have their flaws but at times these don't make them more appealing, but more absurd in their ideas, like that scene before the wedding when the heroine asks herself how is it possible for her best friend not to want her attending?!

What is truly beautiful about this book, and where this writer excels is in the couple scenes, when they first meet, when they get to know each other, the dialogues are so vivid, fast paced and filled with sensual tension and truly happiness. You feel their connection in all its lovely glory. These make the book worth reading. It's the first time I read a book from this author and I will come back because I am sure there is more like this to come.

For this book my lack of more stars is due to the overall feeling, which was predominantly confusing, I didn't know what to believe, who really wants who and what. I understand what the author tried to create with this story, and while there some things that I personally didn't like, I think she succeeded. In the end love finds a way and a voice and they of course, live happily ever after.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I am a big fan of the matchmaker trope, and Anita Lemke's interpretation with The Perfect Match is quite engaging. I was so absorbed in the plot that I read it from cover to cover very quickly. This is the first book from The Perfect series and it can be read as a standalone.

Victoria Medrano is the matchmaker to the elite, with falling in love being a completely unnecessary, but nice byproduct of the process. She dreams of one day leading a luxurious life, much like the clients that hire her. Victoria's deviousness to get what she wants is inexcusable, which makes her character very unlikable towards the end of the story.

Mark Dunham is a really good guy, even though his reputation is less than stellar. He has accrued a ton of debt, due to his beloved mother's many medical bills. Luckily, his impending trust fund will do more than take care of his financial difficulties. However, he needs to get married in order to receive any of it. He ends up falling in love with Victoria, even though she has fixed him up with her best friend Tonya.

I really liked this book, however, Victoria's ruthless behavior was a bit hard to digest. I liked the secondary characters and their respective personalities were interesting. The next book in the series is about Tonya, and I am truly looking forward to reading it.

Thank you NetGalley, BooksGoSocial and Anita Lemke for gifting me an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
I’m not going to lie, I came this close to not requesting this book on NetGalley. The book had been published in June and I already had a ridiculous amount of books to read, but the reviews for this one on Goodreads sold me! I am SO happy they did because this book was exactly what I needed to get out of my reading slump I’ve been fighting through.
It takes a special kind of author to be able to start a book and have me hooked from the beginning. Anita Lemke’s style of writing was so smooth and easy to read. There was the perfect blend of description and internal dialogue without the story ever feeling cluttered. The story was fast paced without feeling rushed (more on that later) and I actually really liked the two main characters together!
Victoria, Vicky to her friends, does NOT believe in love. So she chose the most logical career, she started her own matchmaking business. The only difference is she her clients are not marrying for love, they’re marrying for companionship and longevity. When Vicky lands a high end client she knows her until her career is at the make it or break it point. At the same time her best friend is desperate for a husband and asks Vicky for help. Between a difficult client and pleasing her friend, Vicky realizes she’s falling for the man she’s setting one of them up with. And he may be falling for her, too.
Did anyone else watch Millionaire Matchmaker on Bravo back in the day? That’s exactly how I pictured this dynamic. There will be those who read this and don’t agree with some of the things Victoria does in her business, but I promise this story is worth sticking it out! I also was NOT a fan of how she handled her own personal feelings and drug others down with her. That was sloppy to the max but I have a feeling we’ll see that situation better resolved in book 2!
If you’re looking for a classic contemporary romance that will feed your need for drama and a feel good love story look no further!

Thank you Netgalley for giving me this opportunity to review this book.

I kinda love this book. Its about Victoria, a so-called matchmaker and Mark, a man in need of a wife in order to get access to his trust fund which Victoria planned was to matchmaker him with her friend, Tonya. Things get complicated when she, Victoria started to fall in love with Mark.

This is actually a roller-coaster reads for me. And I managed to finish this book in just one sitting. The author includes all the feelings that I want in one book. Definitely a big congrats to the author.

A story about a matchmaker named Victoria has agreed to match her best friend Tonya up with an eligible bachelor. She has found Mark Dunham for her who needed to be married in order to touch his trust fund. While this is going on, she is working with a family that is wanting their daughter to be matched.
Once the story begins things begin to not work out for either her and her best friend and also her client and their daughter. Each has moments that are funny, especially the daughter whose name is Sylvia. She ends up with a total surprise. I did not like what she did with the Mark Dunham character I understand it is a story, but she also I thought at least cared for the person.
Everything gets worked out and in the end, there is a couple of twists that I did not see happening. Overall a good story with good characters.

This book follows the story of Victoria - a matchmaker and Mark, who is a man in desperate need of a wife in order to access his trust fund. When he Enlists Victoria's help, she plans to set him up with her friend Tonya, however things quickly become complicated when Victoria realises she has feelings for Mark herself.

I really enjoyed this story and the way in which it was written. The characters are great and have their own life stories running alongside the romance that is obviously the main focus. The storyline was fast paced and full of heat and suspense. A really enjoyable read which I finished in one sitting.
