The Medallion Murders

Cal Sterling is a nowhere man, spinning his wheels as a cab driver while struggling with a broken heart. Then he rams another driver with his car and his job is on the line. And on that same night his friend and fellow driver Rasheed is murdered in his own home.

Events that should drive Cal to cut and run instead slowly awaken a desire to redeem his friend’s unfinished life. Rasheed, a black activist, had angered the white owners. Something other than a botched robbery led to his death and Cal makes an impulsive vow to uncover the truth. 

Commitment is a steep hill to climb, but armed with his knowledge of the streets and some help from his friends, he finally puts a lifetime of wasted intelligence to use and uncovers more than a man with a gun; he stumbles into a complex conspiracy that is bleeding the very life out of his license to drive.
