"I loved the characters’ compelling path from pain and regret to freedom through forgiveness. God’s love is evident in the story, and He uses Stacy as his vessel to show love and truth to Francisco. Stacy, a single mother with no family except her son, sees her family grow as a result of her marriage to Francisco. I liked that the story centered on an older couple; their ages are never explicit, but the reader can guess that Stacy, with a son out of college, must be about late forties or early fifties, and Francisco, whose eldest son is in his early forties, is about sixty or sixty-five. It was heartwarming to see that true love can happen at any age, and that it’s never too late to start living the life you were meant to have. I recommend this story for anyone who enjoys an inspirational story of faith, love, and freedom. Amanda

I feel like I know these people. And you give it to us a bit a time, which keeps me discovering more and more about them. Each scene we dive deeper into their psyche and their past. It's what keeps the story interesting. Discovering what is motivating present time action from the events of the past. I enjoyed it immensely. Jon – Montana

A fatal illness will make you look at your life, see all your mistakes, failures and sins and make you want to redeem as many as possible. That's the journey to freedom Francisco and Stacy are taking in this novel. Two very different people with very different broken stories. It's about the freedom that comes with tearing down the walls we build around us.

I can't give 5 stars because of Francisco's incredible accent. No Hispanic person will ever talk like that, using easy words in Spanish and difficult ones in English.
