Description
Addie Snyder’s first novel is becoming an overnight sensation. Unprepared for being thrusted in the limelight, she is desperate to shelter her brother, Owen, who has Down syndrome. After her father abandoned them when Owen was just a baby, she is his sole guardian after her mother passed away. She must protect him from the harsh world, but how can she do that with public events coming up? An unlikely ally in her cold and emotionless publicist, Jameson Ford. As a former Navy Seal, Jameson has his own demons, but there is something about Addie that defrosts his icy wall. Together, they navigate the twists and turns as her book becomes a world-wide phenomenon.
Her life becomes even more complicated when her long-lost father arrives threatening to take Owen away from her and her distant relatives trying to hoard in on Addie’s success. But, through the drama, Addie maintains her humor while popping chocolate kisses as if they were Xanax and seeking solace behind her computer creating stories that fill her soul. Even though all of her dreams are coming true, no one can prepare her for what lies ahead. It’s true when they say, be careful what you wish for.

Addie the principal character make me laugh sometimes, and Jameson make me want someone like him exist but the storie get so boring sometimes and the conversation between the characters didn´t make click for me. If you like pink stories with some laugh between this is the storie for you. |

The story follows Addie who writes a book that is an instant hit. Of course there is love and family drama along the way, but this was a cute read. I really appreciated that the main character was “curvy” and that she had a brother with Downs Syndrome, to provide some diversity. Addie’s love for her brother is unlike any other. At times the writing was a bit repetitive, but I enjoyed the storyline and it kept me engaged. I was frequently entertained by the bluntness of the writing throughout the book. If you are looking for a cute easy read, I would suggest this book. |

The first couple chapters are sad. But the rest of the book is very upbeat and personable. I love that the characters talk to you in their monologue, and it isn’t confusing, it reminds me of a tv series. I just adore Addie’s character, she’s relatable, she’s authentic and adorable. I also really like the supporting characters George and Nina. Jameson and Owen are such a hoot together, it puts a smile on my face when I think about their repartee. |

This was my first book to read written by Allison Jones. And I must say... nkwnim interested to read more and see what her others are like (if there is any). But this was a romantic novel. And while I always love a good romance this was a cute read. Very quick. Entertaining. Cute. Read. I felt it lagged in some areas. But overall good quick read. |

I loved this book no matter what happened in her life, her sole purpose is to ensure that her brother has a loving happy life. Always wanting to write a book after being told she was no longer needed in her freelance job. She thinks well why not let’s get this book done. Her best friend who happens to have loads of faith in her knows people in the correct circles. When she receives the call she never in her wildest dreams does she ever expect to experience the fame, love, hate, heartbreak and love she does. I really hope that there is a second book places. |

This book was definitely a different type of romance novel. Her Turn by Allison Jones follows Addie as she navigates sudden celebrity after a publisher buys her book. During her book tour she falls in love with her publicist, Jameson and encounters many life dramas. What I appreciated about this book was bringing down syndrome into a more main stream novel. However, this books starts out slow and it is hard to get invested in any of the characters. Once I got just under half way through though, I felt more interested by the characters and what was developing. I would say the beginning is definitely rough but for those that stick it out, it’s a good read. The blurb I read on NetGalley that was provided by the publisher definitely pulled me in but I can also understand other reader’s issues. |

A fresh new release from an author whose characters feel like your best friends. Addie is a writer who has just successfully published her first book. Her introverted personality and her anxiety don’t mix well when she needs to do publicity for her book. Thank goodness for her “star” support team consisting of: her brother Owen, her best friend, Nina, her stylist, George, and very handsome publicist Jameson. This team gives her support as her personal life turns into a shit show. While Jameson helps uncover some of the truths about her childhood, Addie has to trust in him; something she is clearly uncomfortable with. |

A nice, easy read which doesn't tax you too much. I think the main character is relatable to many women now and her experiences along with how they have shaped her are well developed. Her friendships and relationship with her brother are heartwarming and the twist in the plot was unpredictable which held my interest. I think the ending and resolving the big secret was a little rushed and it seemed a little to easily resolved, particularly with their ready acceptance of the mystery relative back into their lives but overall a good read with some laugh out loud moments. |

Forty year old Addie has spent her life taking care of her little brother Owen, born with Downs Syndrome and her cold and uncaring mother after their father abandoned them shortly after Owen's birth. Now her mother passed away, leaving her a fortune and allowing her to live her dream of writing a novel. But when her book is published, Addie's boring life is turned upside down. All of a sudden she's forced on a book tour where her comfy yoga pants and t-shirts are abandoned for more uncomfortable but fashionable attire. And worst of all is the grumpy and brooding publicist, Jameson, who follows her around everywhere. One minute they're drawn by attraction, the next he's pushing her away. When her crazy relatives start popping up everywhere expecting a handout, it's all Addie and Jameson can do to control the chaos. I thought this book was cute and funny. I loved Addie's brother and his sunny outlook and childish humor and the way the other characters in the book relate to him. And you can just feel the frustration and resignation Addie has toward her horrible cousin and his wife. I thought the ending was a little bit rushed but overall the book was good. I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The views and opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own. |

I loved this book. There were a few typos and thats the only reason it didn't get 5 stars. The character's were brilliant - Owen is the real star of the book let's be honest. Addie and Jameson were lovely. I loved that they both had baggage that rendered them incapable of opening up. When they overcome it thats the best kind of romance for me! I'm super excited with the extra chapter after the epilogue leading me to hope that there is going to be a sequel focusing more on some of the other characters we have grown to fall in love with. |

The believability. 4.5/5🌟(rounded up to 5 cause goodreads won't let me have half stars). I can't wait to write up a full review on my blog. Stay tuned in! |
