Description

"After the angel of his life died, Ryan knows he will never love again.

So when he answers the door and sees his love again on New Year’s Eve, he jolted to a halt. He flings the door open, hoping to see things clearer.

What he doesn't expect is to find Kayla Quinn.

His recently fired in-house model.

Obviously, Kayla has tweaked her appearance to look like his dead girlfriend, Sharon.

Is this some kind of trick?

Or will Ryan find the missing piece of his life again?"

This was a quick read but well worth your time. A great love story of Ryan and Kayla. Their first meeting was disastrous to say the least. Luckily, things between them got much better and much hotter! I would definitely recommend this book and author. I was given a free copy of this book for an honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Second Chance At Love

Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2021

This was a sweet romantic novella. Ryan lost Sharon the love of his life and his heart shut down. This grief caused him to pour his life into his work. Despite constant encouragement from his aunt and friends he had no interest in pursuing love again. Sometimes love finds you when you least expect it. Kayla was his company model that he fired because of a mishap. Things change and second chances are given. Then chemistry takes over. This is a short romance that covers how grief of a lover can consume your life and how a new love can give it a new beginning. A cute story that I read as an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review.

This book was one of the first erotica/romance books I've ever read. I was caught by the colors on the cover and the story line was amazing. A heartbroken agency owner finding love again in one of the least expected places for him was a good plot.

His Doll by Leah Colton was a good, short read. It was a fun way to spend and hour in another world. I will look for more books by this author.

***** I received an ARC from NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my honest review. *****

A quick, snappy read from Leah Colton. Ryan is still throwing himself into his work since the love of his life, Sharon, passed away. A model who headed up the fashion shows for his brand.
One particular show sees Kayla on the edge of her big break in the modelling world. Due to errors in the show Kayla is fired immediately by Ryan himself.
Kayla is that upset she keeps attempting to explain herself but Ryan has none of it. Kayla realises she has to think outside the box to try to get her job back.
I picked up His Doll and was swept away in Ryan and Kayla's worlds. The sadness that Ryan still holds and Kayla's desperation are apparent to the reader and we can feel Kayla's distress at losing her job. The chemistry between these two is red hot and we get to see just how hot!
A really good read that I could have read more of!
Thanks to Net Galley and Leah Colton for the copy of His Doll

This was something different for me but I liked it. I wish it was a little longer. But it was HOT! I wanted more.
I wish we knew a little more about the characters.

Very short and with a little steam this was just the book for a little escape this weekend. A satisfying end and nice little plot it didn't fall short and nor did I feel like it ended too soon.

I received a complimentary copy of His Doll in exchange for an honest review. This was a short and sweet book about a model trying to make it big with disastrous results on her debut. The owner of the modeling compnay was not impressed and fired her on the spot. How those two ended up from that beginning to happily ever after was worth the read in His Doll.
