Description

They say keep your enemies close. But what if you fell in love with your worst enemy?

Chiara Fiore

My father selling my hand in marriage had pissed me off. It was his fault that he’d drained the entirety of the family money gambling. I was paying the price. But then, I finally met Luca. I was really annoyed with how good-looking he was. I wanted to hate him but his strong jaw, and an attitude that screamed “take charge” made me lose my mind.

Luca Mendacius

Chiara was such a breath of fresh air. She isn’t a woman that takes things lying down. She's sharp-witted and smart-mouthed. It’s a pity that she’s just a pawn in my game.

I’d waited seventeen years to get my revenge on the Fiores, and I wasn’t going to waste my chance now.

Chiara and Luca will have to navigate a rough road to become closer, and even if their differences don’t tear them apart, their enemies might.

Read on to see how the sparks fly when these two heated personalities collide!

Collided is the third book in the Mafia Sinners Series and can be read as a standalone an Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance.

I really enjoyed this book. Read it in one setting. Strong Mafia princess, strong mystery man trying to carry out their plans while fighting their attraction. Can they resist each other and achieve their goals.

A strong and attractive man who asks out the Fiores' mafia princess' hand in marriage to get his revenge for his family's death but when he met her, he felt something strange. Would he be able to get his revenge accomplished? Or would he fail his mission because of some attraction he felt for her?

A smart woman who thinks that the mafia's rule about a woman is incapable of handling the mafia's business is completely ridiculous, was asked for her hand in marriage when she finally joined the family's business meeting. She is in-complete shocked that her family had agreed to marry her off to a stranger. Would she accept his proposal and fall for his trap? Or would she be able to turn the table back?

Honestly, this story was so good! The chemistry between the main characters is incredible and surprisingly, they have a lot in common. I absolutely love the progress of their relationship and how they take their time to get to know each other on their dates. One of my favorite things in the story was their sunset balloon date! It was stunning and lovely and I'm completely in awe of them.

The storyline is great and the plot twist left me so shocked. It's amazing how the characters are connected with each other. The spiciness of this story is just two couples in love with each other but I love it! It's very sexy but not spicy enough if you know what I mean. But what's lacking in this book is more of the mafia scenes, it didn't have much mafia things as much as I thought it would be. All in all, I still love the story so I congratulate the Author Anna Ray for the great work! I can't wait to read her other books as well!

I give this book 4 out 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I enjoyed this. I like a good romance where boy and girl meet and don't like each other but end up together. Mixed with a bit of mafia drama, this made for an entertaining read. It was fast paced and maybe the love story could have been drwan out a bit but that made it easy to read. It is simply written and had me eye rolling the first few pages but I soon got into the story and thought it was a great easy read.

Collided, book 3 in the Mafia Sinners series by Anna Ray is Luca's and Chiara's story. Chiara's family is in debt it is portrayed well in the book how she despises it, how she wishes the situation to be different, Also she is a strong and fierce female character who is adamant about her appearance to the outside world despite being poor. She values her appearance more, because it makes her powerful and I loved, adored that character because even being at the edge of destruction she is brave enough to stand strong for herself and her family. Chiara comes across as a strong, smart woman. She speaks her mind and isn't afraid to go after what she wants. She is a mafia princess who is to marry Luca, a man she has never met. Luca has an ulterior motive as well. In this story everyone is hiding something from each other and as the plot advances . As the plot advances we learn more and more about the families' histories together. Just when I thought I knew where the story is headed, there is a plot twist. It totally caught me of guard! Both characters struggle as you know they would at the fact they are falling in love with someone connected to love ones' deaths.

The standalone story is utterly captivating. It has romance, action, kidnapping, death and deceptions. The characters have a chemistry that visible to readers. The story will hold you but its the plot twist that you will remember

3.5 stars

I didn’t know what to expect going into this book, as I had read the previous two books in this series and although I enjoyed them, I definitely thought the first book was better than the second book. This book was a good mafia romance: there was a good amount of conflict and plot considering the book was so short and the second half of the book definitely kept me interested. However, I definitely think the romance in this book could have been better. Chiara and Luca’s chemistry just wasn’t really there for me and I think this was due to the fact that there were just not enough scenes between the two of them because the book was so short. Overall, I would say this was a good read but it really needed to be longer in order for the character relationships to be better developed.

Chiara was being sold by her Father to Luca as Luca agreed to pay off all of his debts. Her Father had once been the strongest Mafia Boss in town but he had let his gambling addiction get in the way and was now about to lose everything. Chiara was his last hope. Chiara was not like most of the Mafia woman. She was very intelligent and wanted to rise to the head of her Family even though that was never allowed as Men ruled the Families. Her brothers were weak people so she w as actually much more qualified than they were. She was pleasantly surprised when she met Luca as he was a very handsome young man. Luca had been living in Sicily for a number of years but was moving back to America. There are many underlying secrets and plans for revenge in this novel. Chiara and Luca had an instant attraction and she decided she would marry him however both of them had hidden agendas. As usual in a Mafia novel, there is some violence that takes place. I recommend this book.

This was a fast paced read describing the need for revenge between two Mafia families but all is not as it initially seems. An arranged marriage is organized to try and resolve problems for one of the families but there are underlying motives that soon come to light. The tension between Chiara and Luca is palpable throughout the story and it leads to a clear need for a follow up book which I look forward to reading!

Despite being the only daughter out of five siblings, Chiara hopes that she has shown her worth to her mafia don father. Which she has but not in the way she thinks - he has lost the family's money and has sold her hand in marriage to Luca. Clearly not impressed with the arrangement she agrees to meet with him and is surprised when she finds herself attracted to him.

Luca has waited many years to get revenge on Chiara's family. With him believing that her father killed his parents in a car accident. The arranged marriage will be an act of lasting revenge but one that Luca wasn't prepared to feel things for Chiara.

Whilst their relationship appears to be going better than either anticipated they have some family obstacles to overcome. A fast-paced mafia read that finds an arrangement becoming so much more.

I would like to say that this is the first time I am a reading a product of Anna Ray. Also, this is the third book in the Mafia series. From my research, the books is not interconnected and can be read as a stand alone.

The couple in this book is Chiara Fiore and Luca Mendacius. Chiara is the only daughter out of five siblings in rivalry to become the heir to the Fiore family. Luca is a tech mogul that’s after Chiara’s hand in marriage. Their love story is based around the concept of an arranged marriage, but not really. It is more optional and not forced. It’s not really an enemy to lover troupe either because do they really hate each other or is it just miscommunication that occur during the plot. The couple’s love story is quite sweet. However, I felt the way the heroine was supposed to be perceived was not how she was written. Chiara is considered smart and not an easy bimbo, but her character was easily swayed with all of Luca’s attempts.

The plot line of the story resembled almost like 365 days. Not the actual plot line of 365 days, but the writing style. The story had a lot of courtship between the couple and very little plot in actuality. The last 5 chapters of the book was basically the storyline. The writing style of the author fits more of a young adult/teenage read than an adult romance fiction. The book was written in dual point of view with the character’s name as the chapter title to let the readers know.

The “romance” scene was not very steamy. I will never judge on the amount of romance scenes in a book, but more the quality of the scenes themselves. There are about 3 sexual scenes per se in the book. However, the scenes are very brief. This is more of quick love session more than page turners, shy to read around the public. The scenes were all “vanilla” and the most intense thing was when Chiara said please.

The ending of the book was well written and ties everything together. Everything was explained thoroughly.

I received a complimentary copy of Collided in exchange for an honest review. Finally, a book that had a fast paced plot that I couldn't put down. There was just enough background to create a good foundation, and the author got right into the nitty gritty. The character development between Chiara and Luca was relatable, and as a reader I had to wonder how those two would ever bridge their gap. There were a few surprise twists in the plot which added to the depth of this story. Overall, well done. I look forward to reading more from Anna Ray.

Wow. Strong male lead character and I loved how the female character was the mafia princess. Will they be able to achieve their goals before the attraction takes hold? I truly enjoyed this one.
