Advance Praise

"I LOVED this book. Coffeen is an excellent writer with an eye for detail and depth in her characters. Set in Keldane, a quasi-Victorian London, steampunk fantasy world, The Case of the Dragon-Bone Engine follows Agents Beka Finley and Lester Donovan as they investigate the devastating explosion of a train powered by a new invention--a dragon-bone engine, which utilizes magic to run. What starts out as a fairly straightforward investigation soon turns darker and more complex as they uncover a plot that points to some of the most powerful people in the city. In a world where fairies are seen as ""lesser"", Coffeen explores the dark influence of prejudice and how it can drive and distort motivations. This book is an incredible debut from Galadriel Coffeen, and I can't wait to see what further books in this series bring. There are still so many unanswered questions but in the best way possible. Highly recommended!

I just love a mystery that keeps me guessing until the end! Beka is logical without falling into a Sherlock Holmes trope and intelligent without feeling overly clinical or condescending. The story is engaging without feeling rushed and beautifully subtle in its detail. The only question I'm left with is: when can I read the next one??

Loved this book and really enjoyed the author's original artwork on the cover and interior!

I really found myself enjoying the characters in this novel. The story is good and the world is interesting. I can't wait to see the next one."
