I never thought I'd learn so much from this book. I enjoy the illustrations and all the information about how we use the things we learn from animals. Such an incredible topic to talk about with children! Enjoyed it a lot.

What a great book! This book gives information about different animals and explains how they inspired different human gadgets. For example, the eye technology of an eagle has been used in miniature cameras and how the shape of a kingfisher beak helped the design of a bullet train.
The book is also full of great illustrations. A really eye-catching book which would be great for older children.

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for the privilege to review this wonderful book.

This book was a wonderful experience and not only did my daughter learn a lot, I did too.
This book is lovely and funny (and punny) and the art is absolutely wonderful. we felt that the book didn't talk
down to us and gave both the grownup and the child a good explanation on how things work, how animals inspire
technology and how important it is to watch over our planet.

It's so rare to find books that speak to all ages and let the readers feel valued and part of this entire experience
I would definitely recommend this book to all my friends with children and to our local library.

My 9 year old daughter who read this book with my would like to share her thoughts as well :
You should read this book because it teaches you about animals and how they are helping protect the world.

Invented By Animals by Christiane Dorian is so full of facts about how various animals have influenced human design. So many interesting facts that I didn’t know! The illustrations are bright and colourful and add to the book wonderfully.

Invented by Animals is a fascinating look at how animals have inspired humans to make inventions or solve problems. The book begins with a letter to the reader (from Frog) giving a few hints at what can be found within. There is then a double page for each animal and their ‘invention’ which is written in first person. I think this helps to emphasise how clever nature is and that humans really do owe a lot to animals for their ideas!
Each double page explains the animal’s skill and how humans have used (or intend to use) it to solve a problem. There are detailed, colourful illustrations to accompany each page as well which really bring the inventions to life.
The book is full of fascinating information, most of which I didn’t know! This book would be great for ages 7 and up but could be used with younger children too if read to them. It would be a great book to use in the classroom to accompany science topics and could also inspire children to create their own inventions.

Beautiful illustrations and full of information. I would recommend this for KS1 and Ks2 students. Need more non-fiction like this to engage children. Brilliant!

Invented by Animals by Christiane Doran is the perfect example of modern non fiction.

It is beautifully presented with brught colours and engaging pictures. The illustrations are beautiful and illustrate the book brilliantly.

The text is fascinating and taught me a thing or two for sure! Perfect for flicking through, learning some unusual facts and enjoying thoroughly. Likely to appeal to even the most reluctant reader.
