I loved the wrap up to the girls in blue. Charlotte’s story is probably my favorite of the 3. She is so independent and doesn’t take any abuse from Dan. My only complaint is there s not more of it. I wish there was an Epilogue that got us to VE Day.

I requested to read and review this book for free from Aria Publishing. This book has drama, suspense, romance, mystery. This book is set in Europe during the war. Sometimes the mostly unlikely people click and they have find love or friendship or maybe both. Charlotte is head strong, firece. Loyal
Dan is no nonsense type of guy. I loved seeing in this boom getting more freedom and the world knowing that women could do a lot more then what people think. Yes during this time it's still a man's world but slowly realizing how much women are needed. Can a tradey bring people together or tear them apart. How much can one person sacrifice. This book is for any type of reader and can be read anywhere.

I was so looking forward to reading this book to find out how the girls were getting on in the lives they are leading during ww11.Nancy is happy with David and their children, Jane and Oscar are enjoying their time together when they get to see each other. Charlotte is still a girl in blue and unsure about whether she will ever find someone to love like her dear friends have. I have to say i have loved this series of books they draw you in and feel as though you are alongside Charlotte as she journey's to her new posting. Thank you Fenella J Miller it is a brilliant book 5*

Read in less than 24 hours - a sure sign of a good book! Lots of twists and turns, things you didn't expect to happen or vice versa things you thought would happen didn't! I was really concerned for Violet through the book; perhaps she could be the focus for another book in the series? Easy to read, good storyline, likeable characters. I hope there will be another in the series so we find out if the twins were ok and what happened during the remainder of the war period.

The Officer Girl in Blue by Fenella J. Miller is an excellent WWII-era historical fiction saga that is the third book in the excellent series: The Girls in Blue. I have now read all three books and loved every moment of it!

Each book in the series focusses on one of the group of three girlfriends while encompassing their shared struggles, close bonds, and describing the overall harsh times that affects the citizens of England during the War.

We have already read about Jane and Nancy, and now we are finishing up with Charlotte who is also part of the WAAF. I think I liked this book the best.

There is suspense, mystery, intrigue, crime, passion, twists and turns, and just an excellent narrative and character cast that really drew me in.

Charlotte’s story and her interactions and developing relationship with the equally intriguing DI Dan Chalmers is perfect. Their backstories, personalities, and chemistry really add to the overall plot of not only this book, but also for the series overall. I loved the pacing, subject matter, and of course the ending!

This is a must-read series for anyone that loves WWII historical fiction.

5/5 stars

Ive read and enjoyed the first two books in this series and I was so excited to read the third part. It can very easily be enjoyed as a standalone as each book us about one of the three girls that met in book one. This book is about Charlotte and it's the best one yet!

The story starts with her training up to become an officer in the WAAF. Charlotte is posted to London and spends the first week there in with Marion. On their first day they hear gun shots nearby and that's where they first meet DI Dan Chalmers.

What follows is a riveting read about murder, curuption in the police force, adventure and intertwined with a blossoming, slow burn romance. I loved the little catch up with the girls from the other books. It was sad to see the divide, where the rich could buy almost anything they wanted and the poor went without. I found the journey to Wick full of drama and quite the page turner to find out what happened. A really good read. I loved it.

Having only read the second book in the series it was nice to catch up again with the three girls and read all about how life was treating them, this book was focused on Charlotte and how determined she was at doing her job, how she meets a policeman in unfortunate circumstances and it leads to a romance she would never have been interested in previously, twists and turns and plots of murder keep you reading on, can't wait to read what's in store for the three girls next
Wonderfully written and a good storyline as usual

Having read the previous Girl in Blue books, I was thrilled to be offered the chance to review this one and I was not disappointed! This was just the perfect combination of drama and romance. I really, really hope there will be another in the series as I want to know what happens next for Jane, Nancy and Charlotte.
Fenella J Miller is fast becoming a favourite author of mine.
Just brilliant.

I adore Fenella J Miller's books, and this one was up to her usual high standards. Beautifully written, and Charlotte is a believable and likable character.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me an early peek at this engaging story in exchange for an honest review.

An enjoyable book that appears well documented in respect of the vocabulary and attitudes of the period. The characters appear well drawn and highly believable.
I enjoyed the story but found it ended a bit abruptly. I would have liked a bit more.
This is a stand alone story but I would have liked to have been able to read the two previous books.

Thank you to the publisher, NetGalley and Fenella J Miller for the chance to read the advance copy of this book in return for a review which is my own opinion.

This is the third book in the series and I was looking forward to reading it having read the other two. It is possible to read this as a standalone book but I think it would be easier to follow if one had read the previous books in the series.
The book finished at a natural point whereby there need not be anymore written in the series but I think this would be a terrible shame and I hope there could be more. I shall look out for more books by this author anyway.

The story follows Charlotte - the third of the friends who made an unlikely friendship in book 1.. It follows her life as an officer in the WAAF and her romance with a hero of Dunkirk. It is predictable I suppose in that she gets her man in the end but its the trials and tribulations that get her there that are entertaining.

I finished this book quickly - an unexpected trip to 2 hospitals with my daughter and a complicated laceration of her ear meant I had a few waiting times when several chapters got read.

I really enjoyed this book and was slightly sad that it finished

Thank you again to allow who allowed me the chance to read this lovely book
