In T L Swan’s steamy third installment of the Miles High Club, Kate’s hot new pen pal is a welcome distraction from her horrible boss. But nobody is as distracting as Elliot Miles…and he knows it.
My favorite hobby is infuriating Elliot Miles. Just the sight of my boss’s handsome face triggers my sarcasm. God knows how he earns his Casanova reputation—if a million women want him with his personality, what the heck am I doing wrong?
Disgusted with my love life, I join a dating app under a fake name. I start chatting to a man named Edgar. He’s not my type and lives on the other side of the world, but we hit off a friendship, laugh and confide in each other.
But lately things are getting weird at work. Elliot’s being…attentive. His eyes linger a little longer than they should, and there’s a heat behind them that I haven’t felt before. And then, in the shock of all shocks, he tells me that my vulnerability is appealing. But when was I vulnerable?
Horror dawns…Has my boss been reading my emails to Edgar?
Damn it, why did I use my work email?
Oh no, does he know what I really think of him? I’d rather die than ever admit it.
Or, even worse: is it possible that the man I loathe in real life is the man I’m falling for online?

I’ve never cried from laughing so much in my life, what an amazing read that was! Yet another fantastic book in the mile high series! Loved every word of it
As a long time fan of T L Swan books and this series specifically, I had extremely high expectations for this book and it did not disappoint! This book was everything you need in a romance with swoony men, super steamy scenes, hilarious moments and some drama. I wasn’t sure what to think of the fact that they were talking online and one of them didn’t know as I thought that would be what the drama was going to be in their relationship but I was thrown completely off! I didn’t see what happened coming and that’s one of my favourite things about T L Swans writing. I really loved Elliot and Kate’s relationship, they truly did not get along in the beginning and I loved how it came out of nowhere. The way Elliot was with Kate was so swoony. And let’s take a moment to talk about the hilarious moments with the animals, I was laughing out loud! Overall, this was one of my favourite reads of the year and I highly recommend! If you’ve read the previous two books, you’ll love the appearances the brothers and their families make! Even Spencer, Sebastian and Julian make a cameo!
TL Swan is one of my all time favourites and with every book her writing just gets better and better. Although The Takeover is my most adored book ever, The Casanova comes to a close second. Loved every minute of Kate and Elliot’s story!
I had loved The Takeover (Tristan Miles) book so much and we had seen Elliot fascination for a certain Artist. Elliot is named as a Casanova by the media, he despises it and would try his best to keep his love life from media so that it won't be ruined. He is cold and grumpy but once you pass his defences you would see an amazing and kind human being. Kate had become another person after personal loss. She is intelligent, smart, sassy and doesn't fall over Elliot charms like every other woman. I loved KateElliot bickering so much and their attraction, sexual tension is beyond words. The way they both had dealt with their own insecurities and the hardships by the end is so amazing. I am so excited for Christopher Miles book
Elliot Miles has met his match in his IT Manager Kathryn Landon. For years they have despised each other until one night they connect and romance and hilarity ensue! This is the third instalment in the Mile high club and I love them! Funny and steamy and I look forward to the next one. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
I've been wanting to read a book by T. L. Swan for the absolute longest time, so when I saw this big boy in NetGalley, I snatched it right up and read it the first chance I got! And, let me say, I totally get the hype! I remember when the first book just came out and I saw it all over bookstagram and since this is the third in the series, I missed the other two brother's stories but I still really enjoyed this book either way! To start, this book was definitely exciting, with some awesome banter between Kate and Elliot. Hate to love does that, that is why I love it so. So we begin with Kate and Elliot being total enemies and Elliot is Kate's boss at his family's company. They hate each other's guts, it's wonderful, we love seeing them get at each others throats, until one day, Elliot realizes Kate's "hotness" and can't think of anything else! To say this book was exciting is an understatement. The amount of ups and downs and the roller coaster ride is just so dramatic, I was here. For. It. *Imagine me clapping my hands with each word, thanks!* Also, this book was hot. Bring a firefighter hot. Sinfully hot. Just plain HOT. and I loved that aspect, the steamy scenes where super well written! Plus, Elliot is just the best character, hot and sweet and loving and passionate and oh so very driven by fate, but we love him anyway! So go read this one! You'll love it <3 Out on August 26, 2021! Thank you to NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for the earc in return for an honest review.
ARC received from Netgalley and author/publisher in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are my own and have not been influenced in any way. The Casanova by T.L Swan is sweet, funny and romantic read. It was honestly really funny, i didn't expect it to make me laugh out loud. I loved Kathyrn, it was refreshing how confident and bold she was. I liked how she stood up for herself and didn't given in easily. Elliot's and Kate's chemistry was off the charts, the sex scenes were very steamy and they were well suited for each other. I didn't like Eliot's character that much, i was hoping for him to get a character development but it came too late. I didn't like how he treated Kate, confusing her and leading her on. He didn't even know what he wanted; he wanted Kate to call him his bf but when she did he got weird. And the most disgusting of all he left her. Just like that. You can't just leave relationships because you think there might be something better out there But i liked how Kate fought him and made him wait. I think Kate deserved better. I've read the author's other books which were amazing and honestly i was expecting something better. The only reason I'm giving this book 3 stars is that it was funny anf I loved Kate's character!!
*I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.* My love for Tristian Miles is widely known by my community and friends. Also my level of fangirling for TL Swan is very high, so I have been eagerly awaiting ARCs for this book for ages. The Takeover was my favorite read of 2020. So anticipation was high. One of my absolute favorite things about reading a TL Swan book is the callbacks and cameos of other characters. All her books connect or take place in the same world and that makes being a dedicated fan very rewarding. I was very intrigued to read about Elliot, who we know has a not so secret obsession with a certain artist in a previous book. So I was not expecting his love interest to be Kate, one of his employees and the bane of his existence. Kate is trying to come out of a funk after some personal loss in her past and her boss is just always on her case. They get off on the wrong foot from day one, and now, years into their acquaintance that have this aversion to each other that is a bit out of control. One day Elliot observes Kate over the security cameras dancing at the copier and he starts to look at her in a new way. And when Kate goes through a health issue at work, it puts them in even closer proximity together and Elliot just can't stay away from her. This was another great entry to the series and in the interest of keeping this spoiler free I won't say much more. But I was pulled into their romance and I loved how they navigated everything. There was a decision that Elliot made that almost lost me for good. No joke, but his grovel was pretty epic and some of the reveals at the end made up for it. They may have been a BIT too convenient but it is a romance after all. 5/5 stars. P.S. Tristian is till my favorite Miles brother and Jameson is still a dick.
The book blurb: My favorite hobby is infuriating Elliot Miles. Edgar and Elliot... so different but both so much in my life.... I haven't read any of this author's books before so this was a happy surprise. The book is funny, steamy and romantic. It's a stand alone so I was able to follow it even though it did mention the rest of Elliot's family. A fun way to spend the time. Thanks to the publisher for providing an arc.
T.L. Swan never disappoints what a heartfelt, funny and beautiful book I loved everything from the characters to the dialogue one of the best romances I read this year .
Thank you NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Rating: 3/5 Expected Publication: August 26, 2021 This is the third book in The Miles High Club series, and it did not disappoint! T L Swan has done it again! This series is such a guilty pleasure for me. The Stopover was my favorite in the series, but now I’m not too sure. I really enjoyed Elliot’s story, and I didn’t see the end coming (that’s all I’m going to say). I’m just sitting and waiting for Christopher’s story now. Kate’s favorite hobby is to infuriate Elliot Miles, her boss. They both have grown to hate one another ever since Kate started working for him years ago. However, she begins to see changes in Elliot’s behavior. He can’t take his eyes off her, and isn’t the same Elliot Miles anymore to her. She wonders what made him lose his hatred for her in the first place. This book was a wild ride! I had issues with some parts of the book, mainly because there were moments where it was repetitive. I was frustrated with Elliot about 50% of the book due to his anger problems. T L Swan had my jaw to the floor when all the loose ends were getting tied up! Overall, it was just as enjoyable as the other two in the series. (Also, steamier!) I hope there’s another book with Christopher’s story because I would love to see more of him!!
This was honestly the best book in the series. I started reading it this morning and didn't stop until I finished it. My favourite thing about these books will always be the humour. TL Swan has such great comedic timing and some scenes had me almost in tears with how much I was laughing. My one problem with this book is that although I loved both Elliot and Kate I was rooting for her to leave him. I still am actually. I can write a ten-page essay on why she should have never forgiven him.
Another awesome read from TL Swan. Oh my goodness where to start, complex engaging characters, emotional story, and so much sexiness to keep you reading for hours. Loved this addition to the series and can’t wait for the next amazing book!
*I received this ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.* TL Swan has perfected the romance and the humor for all her books. Her men can swept you off your feet and make you laugh out loud. This book is about Elliot Miles and Kathryn Landon. One of the Miles Brothers. Boss / Employee trope. Enemies to lovers. From the get go, grumpy Elliot and feisty Kate, hated each other. One time, Elliot saw Kate differently and he got interested and The fun, sarcastic banter started. What I like about the book is Kate, she was bold knows what she wants, holds her conviction and made Elliot work for it. On the other hand, Elliot is a mystery. He was called a Casanova, but it didn’t show how he was as a passionate man towards a woman, but rather passionate with other things like the arts and fate. I hated his “what if” moment but I think he really regretted it. There are many things going on inside the book like the secret identities of the main using a dating app and the secondary characters with hidden motives which for me is kind of predictable and confusing. The other characters from the recent books made cameos adding lively humor to the story. I am quite interested with Christian’s book in the future. Overall, a fun, steamy book to read.
This book is so funny, sexy and just what I needed to get my weekend MOJO going. When you read a TL Swan book you know you are going to get a sexy alpha and a lot of steamy good times and this book doesn't disappoint. I love the humor in this book as well which brings a bit of reality to. I hope she makes this into an audiobook because I can't wait to hear his sexy voice!
A couple months ago I discovered TL Swan and I devoured ALL of her books within a month. Needless to say, I was left wanting more! I couldn't wait for The Casanova to come out and was thrilled to see it available on NetGalley - score! The Casanova is the third installment of the The Miles High series. Elliot Miles is one of four Miles brothers and is the CEO of Miles Media in the UK. He has been famously dubbed "The Casanova" as he can get any girl he wants and can make them do whatever he wants. Because he seems to be popular tabloid fodder, he tries to lead a private life. Deep down inside, he is a hopeless romantic and wants to find his fantasy girl - a woman that's extraordinary and just out of his reach. Elliot is an avid art collector and find himself drawn to one woman's artwork - no one knows who she is but she goes by the name Harriet Boucher. Kate Landon is whip smart and runs the IT department at Miles Media. For seven years she's bumped heads with Elliot and is his arch nemesis. She hates Elliot with a passion and lives to torment him. Still grieving over her parents death, that happened many years before, she tries to make herself as invisible as possible - she hides behind an unkempt appearance and dowdy clothes. She puts all her energy into working and not much else. One night after work hours, Elliot spots an attractive woman in a netball dress dancing in the copier room. He's bewildered when he realizes that the woman is Kate! He hasn't been that attracted to a woman in a long time and he doesn't know what it means. It doesn't help that Kate's new flatmate Daniel, a fashion stylist, says that enough is enough and gives Kate a complete makeover. Kate walks into Elliot's office the next day looking smoking hot and the attraction between them is palpable. Still confused about his feelings about her, he doesn't act on it - that is, one day, he finds Kate passed out at work from taking strong painkillers. He takes her home and realizes that he's really attracted to her. They start seeing each other on the DL and both agree that their relationship is merely casual. It quickly goes beyond that and they end up falling for each other. The moment Elliott realizes that he is in love with her, he gets news that his private investigator has identified and located the elusive artist he's been obsessed with over the years. He's shocked when he finds out that Harriet is beautiful and young and happens to be the woman he often sees at art auctions and has been chasing for years. Always the dreamer and fantasizer, Elliot is torn because he loves Kate but he is firm believer in fate and needs to know if Harriet is the one that he's been meant to be with. If she is, what does that mean for him and Kate? Does Kate get her happily ever after? I don't know how Swan does it, but she can tell a unique, engaging story. She has a way of sucking you in to the point where it's impossible for you to put down the book.. I love her writing style and loved that the book was told in dual POVs (Elliot's and Kate's). The plot was a bit rushed in my opinion (but still excellent) and felt that the character development for this book wasn't as strong as her other books. I still enjoyed this immensely and and will be waiting with baited breath for hopefully a fourth book to come out for Christopher Miles! Thank you, NetGalley, Amazon Publishing UK and TL Swan for providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest review.
The Casanova was the first book I’ve read by TL Swan and I loved it! It was sweet, sexy, and swoon worthy! Elliot and Kathryn were such fun characters to watch grow and evolve. I found myself laughing out loud so often while reading this one. And that ending! The angst had me flipping pages so quickly! I had to know what was going to happen. This was the third book in the series, but I didn’t feel like I was missing anything reading this as a stand alone. I will definitely be going back and grabbing the first two to read. A great one to add to your TBR! Thank you to NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for the opportunity to read this book for an honest review! *will publish review on Instagram on release day
DNF at 20% I had read the Takeover and loved it, so I was super excited for this book as well, a few days before I saw that it was available for reading now on Netgalley so I decided to read it immediatly. I am sad to say that I was bored within the first couple of chapters and was realizing slowly that I was not enjoying this as much as The Takeover.
T L Swan has done it again. She waved another Miles tale full of humour, hotness and love. From enemies to soulmates, Kate and Elliot's story was full of little twists and turns, pulls and pushes and entertaining as hell.
T.L Swan came out swinging. I loved everything about this book. From the banter to the intense flirting... nothing was left out. From anger to sheer joy, I felt it all in this book. Elliot and Kate were everything. I didn't think I would be a fan of the dual POV but I really enjoyed Elliot's chapters. He had substance and it was refreshing to see his personality come out... his doubts... his insecurities. Kate, on the other hand, was everything we wanted her to be... smart, witty and drop dead gorgeous. I was really afraid that this book would be your run-of-the-mill billionaire/ceo romance, but it did not disappoint. Looking forward to future releases!
Gah Elliot Miles! I am a huge fan of TL Swan books. That translates into I'm a huge fan of TL Swan's leading men..I never thought any other man could be as dreamy as Jamison Miles or as funny as Tristan Miles. Elliot Casanova Miles more than delivers; he hits it out of the park. The chemistry between Elliot and Kate Landon sizzles. And Elliot almost kindled my kindle! In a word, I was "enchanted."
I recieved the book from Netgalley for an honest review. The Casanova is the third book in T.L. Swan's Miles-High Club series. This novel follows the third brother, Elliot and his love interest Kate. Elliot: May be handsome, but he's a bit of a jerk. He's also been obsessing over an artist for years. Always buying her paintings and trying to meet her. He's aware that she must be much older, but he just feels its his fate to meet her. He's also known to only date beautiful and talented women (think opera singers, head editors of magazines, etc). He has no time for an "ordinary" woman, not when he's searching for that extraordinary someone. And did I mention he hates his IT manager, Kate? Kate: She may be talented, but sees herself as a very ordinary woman. After some losses in her personal life, Kate is a bit down on herself. She just cannot see herself as good enough for anyone. So, she dressed in unflattering clothes, wears her hair in a tight bun, stays in after work, and most certainly doesn't think about dating. And, the one person she really hates? Elliot Miles, of course. Kate has hated Ellliot since the first day they met - when he said something to her that she took offense to. Since then, she's been snarky toward him and he's been passaive-aggressive toward her. But, this is a romance. So, of course things slowly change between them after Elliot witnesses Kate dancing in the copyroom after hours. He grows curious and slowly realizes that the woman he's seen as an uptight nag for the last seven years, may be the extraordinary one he's been searching for all his life.
DNF @32%. I just couldn't get past some of the immaturity (grown adults squeamish about tampons?) or toxic messaging (lots of fat-shaming, objectifying, and disparaging women's bodies).
Wow, so good! I’ve just finished ARC copy provided by the publisher of The Casanova via NetGalley and I didn’t think TL Swan could come close to The Takeover, (my favourite TL Swan book) but she did. Kate & Elliot totally drew me in and the story took a different twist from what I expected after having read book 2 of the Miles High Club. Kate is a hopeful romantic and it turns out that Elliot is a romantic too, well hidden under a very grump boss and also is an alpha idiot at times. I’m glad the painter part of the storyline worked out the way it did and that the characters from the first 2 books returned. 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
ARC REVIEW OMG, I think it’s the best book by T.L. Swan I’ve read so far. It had everything in it and I don’t think there’s anything missing. I’m swooning over this story. This story starts as enemies to lovers, boss employee story. Kathryn works as IT team manager for Elliot’s company. Kathryn loathes him and his Casanova/asshole behaviour, Elliot looses his patience with her some times too. Yet in no time they start no strings attached relationship and let me tell you it’s one of a kind relationship that is slowly changing for both of them. I loved everything in this story, their banters at the beginning that were also present throughout the whole book, their chemistry and the pace of their relationship. I even laughed out loud in some scenes and there were also moments when I had tears in my eyes. This story gave made me fell so many things and made me swoon over how perfect Elliot is. He’s the guy that will give you the world and even more. I loved Kate so much, too. She was this perfect woman, confident one that didn’t let anyone stop her. This is the book that I’ll definitely recommend for as long as possible. Thank you Netgalley for the copy.
I have recently discovered TL Swan’s books and have been devouring them! She has a way of telling a story that is refreshing and unique, and The Casanova is no different. After 7 years of working together, Kathryn and Elliot hate each other. This changes of course when Elliot sees Kathryn one evening with her guard let down and things go from there. Like the other Miles High Club books, the story is told from both Kathryn’s and Elliot’s POV. I love this because we really get a sense of how both characters are feeling throughout the story. There are some questionable decisions made by both parties in the story, but I think the way Elliot tries to make up for his behavior is sweet and endearing. I will say that the story felt a bit rushed and I don’t know if I ever got a feel for Elliot. He is described by Kathryn as being caring and thoughtful, but I didn’t see much of that in his character until the end. In The Takeover, TL Swan does a great job of really showing us who Tristan is, and I would have liked to see that for Elliot, too. I still liked the book. The spice that I’ve come to expect from this author was great, and I will be eagerly awaiting the next installment.
Best Miles story yet! Elliot Miles is swoonworthy, smart, vulnerable, and sexy. His care for Kathryn is evident and the book does a great job of investing you in the couple and both characters as individuals. There was one scene (you’ll know the one) where I found myself actually laughing out loud. Now I’m just impatiently waiting for Christopher’s sorry: Highly recommend!!
Love this book! The Takeover was a book I love to reread and was hopefully for the next installment. I was not disappointed at all! Elliot and Kate are an amazing match that come from such an original enemies to lovers story that is so different from Tristan and Claire’s story in a great way. There is so much chemistry and emotion between them. Kate’s traumatic past and Elliot’s domineering ways make the story so interesting I could not put the book down! The ending was perfect and surprising. I am definitely a fan of TL Swan and eagerly the next Miles High Club story!
Okay, if you do not want to read spolers, you should stop reading this. I wanted to give my feedback without any leaks, but this I just need to talk about this book. This book follows Kate and Elliot a.k.a Casanova Miles. It is 3rd book about Miles brothers, and I love the whole series. So when I saw this ARC I just needed to read it ASAP. We met Ellito before, and let just say his reputaion was known as womanizer, but he had a weak spot for art, and for one woman he never really met, just saw, he named her Balerina.... And who is Kate, you may ask... Well, Kate is a Head of IT team in Miles company London. And she works for Elliot, and she hate his guts. Elliton doesn't like her, he thinks she is a B***ch... But something change for him, when he sees her dancing... And for him sparks fly... And Yes, you guess it, they come together, and their romance is little wird, it is full of ups and downs... And just when everything is okay and lovely, Elliot behaves like an ass, and goes to meet a woman of his Dreams... Leaving Kate heartbroken. His answer to his actions is he would always ask himself WHAT IF.... Well this didn't sit well with me. Let me just say, the grass is always greener on the other side. Or don't go chasing waterfalls... If you love someone, he or she is enough. There is no What IF... I would not forgive...and they just said I love yous... So let just say Elliot is not my favorite Miles brother, and Yes you guess it right this wasn't my favorite one in the series... It was just 3.5 stars for me...
The first 20% of this book? SO. MUCH. FUN. The banter, the chemistry, and the pure hate between Elliot and Kate was so refreshing and it was the first book in a while that's caught my interest right from the start. Elliot was a more comedic, emotional and sensitive male lead than typical CEO type characters and Kate was a no nonsense IT manager at his company. Their established dynamic and work relationship of 7 years added more depth to the relationship between them and made their dislike for one another more realistic. Sadly, the book lost me a little after the 25%-30% mark in that Kate seems to lose her ball buster attitude the minute she catches feelings for Elliot. This drastic turn from witty to lovesick blindsided me a bit too much and I found myself getting annoyed with Kate even though I understood her feelings. Thankfully, she retains her backbone later in the book but then it gets bogged down with Elliot's wishy-washy attitude and one too many temper tantrums as well as a very eye-roll worthy climax of the subplot. Still, this book earns 3 stars from me because it was a solid read and absolutely nothing has held my interest this year so I think this gets points for a good start. Fans of T.L. Swan will probably enjoy this very much. 𝙖𝙧𝙘 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬
T L Swan has quickly become one of my go-to authors, and once again, her latest offering in the Miles High Club series doesn’t disappoint. For those of you who haven’t read the two previous books, I would go so far as to say that The Casanova can be read as a standalone. Why? Because while getting hooked on Elliot Miles and Kathryn Landon’s all-consuming story, the author’s narrative skills convinced me that the new reader would easily be able to pick up on the know-how. Swan doesn’t beat around the bush. Taken aback to see that there weren’t any paragraph breaks, the pacing is faster than fast. Something else that stood out was the change in her protagonists’ voice fonts. Another one used for the text messages helped me differentiate between conversations—and ooh boy, was I sold! Whom, you may ask is opening their heart online. It was so pleasantly weird, I had little option but to do an all-nighter, and since I wanted to savour Swan’s story to the hilt, I had no qualms about reading until daft o’clock! Swan delivers all the feels and so much more. I adored how Kate came across as the no-nonsense employee whose tolerance for her boss’s unrealistic expectations was questionable. She’s not just good, she’s the best—but beneath her work facade lies a stunningly beautiful and sensitive person. Much to Elliot’s charagin, he can’t stop thinking about the woman he’d chosen to ignore for years. And then the fun begins. Yeap, observing them rub each other up the wrong way made me giggle heartily! Where do I start with Elliot? No pun intended, but his layers are like peeling an onion that makes your eyes water. Some of his actions spoke louder than words and had me silently sobbing into my pillow! But if I lapped up the intolerant side of him, his vulnerability got the better of me. That said, this drop-dead gorgeous CEO who wants for nothing has a lot to answer for. Will all be forgiven? You’ll only find out by diving in with an open mind. Being the banter snob that I am, Swan knocking all of her characters’ dialogue out of the park was an utter delight. And oh my, the animal scenes in perfect surroundings had me laughing out loud! Not only was this outstanding couple’s story cleverly put together, but the supporting role development bang on. Also, my heart suffered when the author saw fit, my smiles were at her every whim and to be honest, her prose left me in awe. As my brain is running riot right now, I can’t say much more without spoiling this workplace enemies-to-lovers romance with a difference for you. However, what I’d like to mention are the quotes I’d highlighted. Seeing as it’s traditionally published, I had no wish to put my foot in it, but for the love of reading creative writing, this book overflows with emotional scenes and one-liners, great comebacks and hilarity! Last words; don’t think twice, one-click and enjoy Elliot and Kate’s journey. Bravo, Swan! Many thanks to Amazon Publishing UK for the ARC through NetGalley in return for an honest review.
one of the few times i wish it had detailed pov from elliot obviously this was not my first tl swan book i just did not understand some of his decisions and i thought he was immature. the grovel was better than most of the books ive read but again it’s another case of telling but not showing. overall i think kate deserved better.

Great cover and book blurb Bit of an age gap 7 yrs Enemies to lovers Office / Corporate setting Loved Elliot and Kate Laugh out loud - funny dialog / situations ( a grown man being chased by angry / very hungry ducks LOL ) Angst and more angst might have you shedding a few tears / pulling at those heartstrings Great storyline with some plot twists I wasn’t expecting BEST HEA Kathryn Landon ( Kate ) , ( aka Pinkie ) is arch nemesis to Elliot ( The Casanova ) Miles CEO of the London branch of Miles Media Group Elliot Miles is strong , stubborn and super sexy - his alter ego Edgar is deep , emotional and sweet … GAHHH this book has it all - highly recommend The Casanova and really anything by this author !!
The Casanova by T L Swan You really aren’t ready for this… Thank you netgalley, can’t put into words how much I love you because I was able to read this gem early😍 Oh Elliot, you do take after your brothers don’t you, when you fall you don’t do it gently👀 This book was absolute perfection. It’s no secret that I love T L Swan’s books - I’m pretty sure you’ve all seen me swoon over Spencer Jones many times (still god tier book boyfriend - COME AT ME)🤦🏼♀️ But this series is everything. Everything you want, need, imagine in a romance book. It’s hilariously funny to the point that you’ll laugh out loud multiple times. It’s spicy 🔥 heartwarming and swoonworthy - but you all expected that because you’ll know all about his older brothers😍 Elliot and Kate were a joy to read. I literally exclaimed ‘I knew it’ at approximately 11pm last night because I couldn’t put it down. It’s a whirlwind ride that you won’t want to get off. As always, it’s beautifully written with the family relationships being stunning to read. Drama. Sex. Mystery. And a group of angry ducks… You don’t want to miss it. Out at the end of august and I cannot WAIT for Elliot’s paperback to meet up with The Stopover and The Takeover. 100% one of the best reads of the year.
I wasn’t so sure about Elliot and Kates story at first. It picks up - what a great story. I laughed out loud and loved revisiting the other brothers and their lives. Elliot is a bit much but I liked how the story followed his realization it can’t be about what he thinks - he has to look around and see what’s right in front of him. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC. Great summer read
⭐⭐⭐⭐.5/5 Elliot Miles is known in the media as Casanova Miles, you can guess why. Kathryn Landon works at Miles media, she is good at her job but her and her boss Elliot don’t always get along. But then of course something change and both of them see each other in a different light. I would be lying if I was saying I wasn’t nervous for his book. T.L. Swan always does an amazing job with setting op her characters in her previous books. And that was also the case for Elliot. At some point the story did move on quite quickly but nothing that bothered me personally expect that the end got wrapped up a little too fast for my liking. But I sometimes need a story where the couple knows there is something more, and this is the case for most of T.L. Swan’s books. Hero: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Heroine: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Steam: ⭐⭐⭐.5/5 Storyline: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Side characters: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 *I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.*
4.5 Like all of TL’s books, once I sat down and started reading it was hard to stop. I love this series so much. One page I was laughing and the next I felt tears of sadness. My favorite moments were the bits and pieces we saw of past characters (Tristan and his family are forever my favorites). There’s nothing like an alpha male completely losing control. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Christopher’s book. ***I recieved the book from Netgalley for an honest review.**
The Casanova by TL Swan is the third book for the Miles High Club series but can be read as a standalone. I have read some books by TL Swan and enjoyed them. This book is entertaining as well, and some banter made me laugh. This book has some endearing and significant moments in it as well. That said, there were many moments in the book where both main characters were so unprofessional; it’s almost unbelievable. I like Kate, and I think this character deserves a better partner than Elliot, to be honest. I couldn’t connect with Elliot at all. Overall though, it’s still a fun and steamy book you can quickly breeze through reading. Thank you to NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Thank you NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for an honest review. 3/5 stars Elliot and Kate’s story was intriguing and sexy. I enjoyed the office romance and enemies to lovers trope. I enjoyed that Kate didn’t take his crap and was willing to stand up to him. Elliot was the typical CEO with unreasonable expectations in certain instances. Their banter was fun and witty in the office. I would have liked to see their relationship progress more at work. I had a hard time realizing work Elliot was the same person as vacation Elliot. During work Elliot was super short, callous and rude. Outside of work we saw none of those traits unless he was throwing a temper tantrum (which seemed to mostly happen at work). The other issue for me was that Kate went from an independent main character to a love sick puppy in just a few chapters. She seemed to lose her backbone almost instantly. Which was annoying. She did get it back in the end. I would have liked to see the chemistry between them a little more before they were suddenly together. I think that would have helped the hate to love relationship feel not so rushed. Overall I enjoyed the book. It was a fun romance read
After reading The Stopover and The Takeover, books number one and two of this series, I saw this book and knew that I had to immediately jump in to read about the third Miles brother, Elliot Miles. Elliot Miles heads up the London Miles Media office as was mentioned in both previous books in the series. Kate is the IT department head and works for Miles Media. At first, I thought this would be too similar to The Stopover where there is a workplace romance, but this was so different. First of all, they start off as enemies. Who doesn't love a good enemy to lovers story. I was sucked into the story from the very beginning and just had to know where it was going to go. I couldn't put it down and read it in one day. Without giving away any spoilers, the twist at the end had me going for sure. I usually can predict big twists like that but I had not seen this one coming at all. As for this book, I would one thousand percent recommend everyone to read this book and the other books in this series. T L Swan has become an instant buy author for me as her books always deliver.
Oh my heart T.L. Swan! The Miles Men not only have fierce love for each other as brothers but love their women with unapologetic fervour and it is amazing. I love the complex nature of the relationships that T.L. Swan creates and how the characters have to grow and be vulnerable to allow their significant other a place in their heart. I loved this so much and the grovelling was epic! So brilliantly done! The only little thing that bothered me a little was the online chatting. I didn't like the fact that once Elliot knew it was Kate, he opened up to her so much more online than what he did in person especially since he knew Kate didn't know that he knew it was her. That did not sit right with me. Kate was not much better in that situation I must add.
This is the first title I've read by this author, and I enjoyed it. It has great banter and humor between the two leads, great sexual tension and ties up the ending in a way I did not predict! I will look for more to read from this author.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. What can I say another Miles brother that I love. All four siblings are 100% swoon worthy. So far in this series, I have rated the first two books a 5 star review. This one fell slightly short of a 5 star review. Don't get me wrong, this book was AMAZING. I love the chemistry between the two characters, and all the cameos of the Miles men. Elliot was our strong hero who doesn't take no for an answer. While Kate spends much of the book finding herself, she is a very strong character in her own way. The reason I dock half a star was because at times the Miles men felt the same. There was one quote, that I swear was used in one of the first books. I felt that Elliot and Jameson had a ton of similarities in their stories. This left me feeling like "have I read this before"? The end was predictable, but sweet. Perfect HEA. And very excited for Christopher to get his own book!
Elliot & Kathryn (aka Kate) Dual POV. Book 3 in the continuing Miles High series. Rom-com, enemies-to-lovers, work place romance. I enjoyed the cameos from characters in TL Swan's previous books with updates on the 2 previous Miles High couples. This book does include an epilogue. Elliot (34, 35) is the third in birth order of the four Miles boys, guards his privacy fiercely, was nicknamed by the media as Casanova Miles, is an art lover, and the CEO of the UK branch of Miles Media. Kathryn (27; aka Kate) has worked in the IT department for Miles Media UK for 7 years, grief over the loss of her parents 6 years ago caused her to withdraw from socializing and seeking relationships. Kate stands up to Elliot at work and the two frequently buttheads until Elliot sees Kate in a new light. The twists in this book are very smart, just when I thought I figured it all out TL Swan proved me wrong. WELL DONE! This will definitely be a re-read for me. I look forward to reading the 4th Miles brother's book. ARC from NetGalley. JP
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. This was exactly what an enemies to lovers/workspace romance should be. I found myself laughing out loud multiple times. Elliot was a lovable a**hole that I despised at first but he kind of won my heart in the end. Kate was amazing and I loved the fact that she was outspoken throughout the whole novel. There were super cute cameos made by the other characters in this series and I loved seeing bits of Tristan in this book.
Thanks to Net Galley I was able to read an advance copy of The Casanova by T.L Swan . This is the 3rd book in the Miles High Club . It is also the first book I have read by this author . I’m always hesitant checking out authors I have never read before . I have heard great things about T.L Swan , I have just never taken the plunge . Let me tell you this , The Casanova did not disappoint The Casanova follows Elliot Miles and Kathryn Langford . Kathryn works for Elliott and the two absolutely dislike each other . You can feel the dislike between the 2 of them and I think that’s initially what drew me in. However you can feel the raw sexual energy between them. You find yourself wanting them together , especially when you get to see the other side of Elliot . There were several moments in this book where I bursted out laughing hysterically . There were moments where my heart hurt for both Elliott and Kathryn . Moments where I wanted to slap them both for being idiots. Moments where I cried like a baby . I have fallen completely in love with both Elliott and Kathryn . If you’ve read the previous books familiar faces make an appearance . If you are like me and haven’t read the previous books , this book will make you want to go back and read the first 2 . I know it did me . If you are looking for a hot , steamy book with enjoyable characters this is that book for you . Check it out .
4.5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Casanova has been one of my most anticipated books by TL Swan. Let me just say that it's absolutely worth the wait. This book is EVERYTHING! and I love every single second of it. Like seriously, I didn't expect that it would be so enjoyable that I was able to finish it within one day. It was completely addicting and a total page-turner. Talking about the characters, they are just fantastic. I adore both of them and the personas that they portrayed in the story. Yes, there are some parts that got me slightly annoyed, but that didn't make me like them any lesser. The chemistry that these two shared is just like 🔥🔥🔥 Believe me, these two hated each other like crazy, but it's absolutely clear that their attraction to one another is deeper than they thought. Overall, it was a great read for me and I think that TL Swan has done an amazing job in delivering the story of Elliot and Kate. They managed to steal my heart and I think they have officially become my favourite couple in the series. I highly recommend for everyone try out this book because you surely don't want to miss out this amazing book.
I really enjoy this Mile High Club series, these are books that you will re-read. This is book #3, I have laughed out loud. I truly enjoy a good banter back and forth in a romance novel and T L Swan can provide that and then some. At first I worried it would be all this dating app back and forth, seems to be a few books like that now, don't worry, it is just enough. Kate and Elliot can't stand each other! Love re-visiting the brothers. This could easily be a stand alone but gift yourself and read all of them. I gobbled this book up so fast, I will re-read the entire series slowly. I seriously didn't know how T L Swan would manage the ending so I was okay with it, ta-da she did!!! I eagerly wait for Christopher's story.
Just amazing. I have loved spending my time getting to know the Miles brothers and the women who have tamed their wild ways. Elliot "Casanova" Miles and Kate Landon have one hot love affair. The twist at the end was amazing. I did not see that ending coming. I am looking forward to Christopher's book!
As has been my custom I picked up the THIRD book in the Miles High Series but thankfully this can be read as a standalone. It has references to previous characters who are the brothers of the main characters, but reading them out of order is unlikely to ruin the outcomes given the nature of romance reads. Elliot Miles is the CEO of Miles Media. He's a rich media tycoon, broody, quiet and fiercely protective of his privacy. He's demanding, moody and unapologetic. His reputation as a philandering womaniser proceeds him. He catches a glimpse of a woman in a security camera, not recognising it is his IT Manager Kathryn (Kate) Langford. Elliot and Kathryn have had a loathe-hate relationship for seven years - in as much as Kathryn refuses to bow down to Elliot's caustic nature and unrelenting demands. She's ballsy, intelligent and fierce after regaining her strength following two significant losses in her life. After some backwards and forwards the pair acknowledge their attraction - it's a secret, intense, and they both know it is time-limited. The primary plotline of the Casanova is the illusiveness of a relationship. Kate finds herself falling for Elliot whilst he is searching for something that seems out of his reach. Additional plot lines include fictional interactions between the characters on an online dating site and Elliot's obsession with a female artist whose paintings he has been procuring. Kate is unsure she can trust Elliot and does not intend to be his second choice. This book is packed with banter, chemistry between this pair that is off the charts, steam galore, emotional closeness and tenderness, familial relationships, and themes of loss and grief. There's also exploration of endometriosis for the main character Kate. There were loads of laughs between Elliot and Kate, Kate and her friends, and Elliot and his brothers which gave dimension to the story. Both Elliot and Kate are searching for their happily ever afters on their own terms - the question is weather they can achieve it together. The Casanova is the first TL Swan book I have read. A huge thumbs up as I was unaware the author lives in Sydney and love supporting Australian authors. Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC of this book to read and review. It's out on 26/8/2021. 4.5 stars
The thing that I love most about TL Swan’s books, they’re like amazing chocolates that you want to eat slowly, then you can’t help, but finish them all in one sitting! Her latest book, The Casanova does it again! I love seeing the Miles family again - Elliot is the 3rd brother!is like his brothers and finds romance, balanced with the attempts to keep their personal lives, out of the public eye. It’s set in London, as opposed to the other in NYC and this plot uses a dating site and even a final outcome that I never saw coming! There’s even a brief cameo of the of Jillian, Spencer and Sebastian from the Mr. series. I’ve read & loved all of TL Swan’s books- The Casanova can be read as stand alone, but If you haven’t them, The Stopover and The Takeover definitely worth reading as well! ARC provided by Netgalley & Avon publishing in exchange for an honest review.
I loved Kate & Elliot’s story beyond words. Even days later after finishing, I am having trouble moving on to a new book. The banter between Kate & Elliot was everything! I loved how Kate wouldn’t back down & challenged Elliot. It was great watching Elliot open up. I loved that there were moments of laughter and moments that brought me to tears. I will definitely be re-reading this book over and over again! I absolutely adore this series and I can’t wait for Christopher’s book! I voluntarily reviewed this book.
Thank you to Amazon Publishing UK and Netgalley for the ARC e-book copy for an honest review. I enjoyed this book immensely! This was the first book I've read from T.L. Swan, but I want to read more! I love a good enemies-to-lovers trope, so this was right up my alley. I also loved the banter between Edgar and Pinkie. lol. I will say I thought the story was a tad too long. I also thought the back and forth of are they together, but they aren't really together, but yes, they are together dragged on for longer than necessary. However, I loved the London and New York setting. I laughed out loud several times. I also shed a few tears at the loneliness Kate experienced. I also LOVED that Elliott believed in destiny and that THE person for you is out there, somewhere. It's not often we get that from a male character, especially in a romance story. I will definitely go back and read the other books in the Miles High Club series. #TheCasanova #NetGalley
I really like this author, I just discovered it is the 3rd book in the series and it is one better than another, God I like both heroes are romantic and I believe in destiny and magic what happened to them is magic. Before reading this book I read opinions and who gave this story 3 stars means that he is not a good reader or critic, because this story is unique, I have not met any author but I have read a lot and I like to read after possibilities, but this story is unique, sensational ...
Elliot Miles, head of the London office of Miles Media, is known for being powerful, cold, seductive, and a womanizer. So much so that the paparazzi have dubbed him The Cassanova. Kate is the IT manager of Miles Media and in full honesty: hates Elliot Miles. He's arrogant and rude and she can't be held accountable for the things she says in his presence because the man brings out her temper like no one else. But one day Elliot sees Kate in a sexy red athletic dress and he suddenly sees her in a new way. His hunger fir her grows unsatisfied and she is overcome with this cold and cruel man who makes her melt with one heated glance. On paper this is an enemies to lovers workplace romance but in true T.L. Swan fashion it is so much more. There's a mystery threaded through the entire book about an unknown artist Elliot is obsessed with, a beautiful and enchanted farm with guard ducks, an amorous goat, and a murderous ram, and two secret identities with hilarious screen names from a dating site. This book was WONDERFUL and I honestly loved it from page one to the end. One of the things I loved most about this book was how at a certain point an HEA seemed impossible for this couple, and yet every plot thread was pulled together at the last moment to make it work perfectly for me. I loved watching this cold alpha melt into tenderness over the fiery Kate. It was a thing of beauty and it also had an equal amount of scorching steam as well. I have not read as satisfying ending in a romance in a while and it was well worth the angst to get there.
I was super excited to get an eARC of this book. The previous book in this series, The Takeover is one of my favourite romance books of all time. Elliot Miles and Kate have hated each other since they first met. But one day Elliot sees her dancing in the office and is instantly affected to her and becomes mildly obsessed, and is determined to have her. They start a “friends with benefits” like relationship but of course it can’t end there. I really enjoyed these two (those Tristan is still my fave brother so far). I really enjoyed their dynamics and and there was plenty of fire as one can expect from TL Swan. I was extremely annoyed at a decision Elliot makes, but TL Swan brought me back with one of the best grovels I have ever seen, added with some plot convenience reveals that were so obvious, but it was cute so I still liked it. I love this series as a whole and it was great to see all the previous cast of characters and I can’t wait to get Christopher’s story (We are getting it right!?!)
I love the Miles High Club Series and I couldn't wait to get my hands on the newest release and, as usual, T L Swan delivered and did not disappoint! I read The Casanova in one sitting...I was hooked from page one and just couldn't put the book down. The story, the characters, the banter, their struggles and OMG their chemistry were honestly off the freaking charts! I'm a sucker for a good hate to love romance, but this one is truly so much more with its intricate plot and its 3-dimensional characters, you feel aaaall the feels while you read about Kate and Elliot falling in love and fate trying to bring them together for years without them knowing. Honestly, these two were destined. Hats off to T L Swan once again for this funny, extremely witty, swoon-worthy and steamy AF romance. 500% would recommend (also, do yourself a favour and read the other books in this series). **Thank you to T L Swan, Amazon Publishing UK and Netgalley for the e-ARC of The Casanova. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**
Another amazing story written by TL Swan. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is off the charts. I loved reading about them going from absolutely hating each other to be so incredibly in love with each other. Also the twist in the end that we have been waiting for since the first Miles High Club book!
3.5 stars. I really like the first two books in this series and this one was good as well. However, I do have some issues with the cultural representation. As someone who has lived in the UK for half of her adult life, this book that is set in London and features British people was a bit charring to read. I don't mind if the narrative refers to things in American English (elevators vs lift, etc.), however, if you are writing dialogue for British people you need to make it believable and there were many, many instances where this wasn't the case. In fact, if it hadn't set it was set in the UK, I would have never thought it was. I very much appreciate that this is probably a bigger issue for me than it is for other people but I cannot overlook that. Please do your research, and do it well.
I’ve read both The Stopover and The Takeover. Tristan remains my favorite brother out of the three stories but I enjoyed Elliot’s story as well. I really enjoy enemies to lovers trope but I’m not too fond of the insta lust/insta love that happened in this book. I still think the writing and the story was well- developed and though a happy ending seemed impossible at first…I was happy to see a happy ending for our couple. I thought the third act conflict was done well. I wish that Kate took more time to forgive Elliot for what happened… Overall, this was a 4/5 read. It was captivating enough to have me finish the book but it wasn’t perfect or mind blowing.
Elliot Miles did not disappoint. Another office romance with huge enemies to lover vibes. I was head over heels in love. Ever since The Takeover I've been craving the Miles brothers again. Elliot is the perfect mix between Jameson and Tristan, hot head with a boyish charm and a massive disadvantage when it comes to being one with nature. You'll know what I mean when you meet the farm yard of animals he gets left with. Elliot is a massive believer in fate and fate has a funny way of working. It definitely taught him a lesson and it was brutal because my heart broke for Kate. Kate wasn't the heroine I thought I would be seeing Elliot with when The Casanova started but she is absolutely perfect for him. On. Every. Level. Except Kate has a cow of a sister and I have no idea how they came from the same parents. There's a moment where all the dots connect and my emotions went haywire. I still have no idea how I feel. I just feel empty. Elliot and Kate have done that to me. T L Swan has done this to me again! I could honestly do a reread already and I only finished the book 8 hours ago. After the line Christopher made I am so intrigued to see where his book goes.
5 stars plus Mind Officially Blown! The Casanova is the most amazing story. It is riveting, very steamy, highly entertaining and incredibly enjoyable! One of my favourite reads of 2021. This book is that good! I experienced so many emotions whilst reading that coming to terms with how well written this book was, just blows my mind. Elliott Miles is the elusive fictional character that had so many faces, however he was also the most amazing family man. A romantic, believes in fate and the way things happened just made me feel. Everything the characters feel. I loved every moment! I laughed so hard in parts, felt the sizzling chemistry between him and Kathryn that I wondered how things would pan out for them. I was rooting for them so hard. I wanted them to have the hea they both desperately needed. Can Casanova Miles be tamed? Is love in the air or are things destined to fall apart. An absolute must read. I highly recommend you read it for yourself and make your own mind up at how truly hooked you will become. Kudos to the author for writing such a beautiful story!
This is by far one of my favorite series. Sexy, funny, romantic, and just enough "drama". I couldn't read this book fast enough, but was disappointed when it ended. I'm hoping this series continues!
The long awaited third book of the Miles High series by TL Swan finally is out. I finished it in a day. This one does not disappoint as it is just as hot and packed with banter between Mr. Miles and the gal who works for him. I love the twist in this one where they match up online, only she knows it and he doesn’t yet. This is an enjoyable series filled with humor, sarcasm, and entertainment. I enjoyed it and sad there wont be more coming from this series.
🖤This book was absolutely beautiful!! I’ve been looking forward to Elliott’s book and she did not disappoint on this one!! So many beautiful moments, I laughed, I cried, MR. MILES made me swoon!!🖤 This book has it all!! All the steamy yummy moments🔥The angst❤️ Swoon worthy moments🤩The witty banter👩❤️👨 And of course HEA🖤 I wasn’t sure where this ending was going… But OMG it was BEAUTIFUL 😘🥰 https://www.instagram.com/p/CSC2UjTBa3w/
Elliot Miles has got to be the most intense from all the Miles brothers we have read about. Unapologetic & hard as Kathryn eloquently puts it. In the end you can’t help but love him. Kathryn is stubborn, feisty and lovable from the very beginning of the book. You have once again ticked all the boxes with this amazing story line, love hate work relationship, romance, comedy, heart ache with a happily ever after Loved that we got snippets into the lives Tristan & James. This was truly an amazing read.
"And fate. Never give up, he will find you." I've been wanting to read this series forever. Suffice to say, I got the ARC for this one, and I already pre-ordered it AND bought the other two and have them in my Kindle. If that alone doesn't tell you how good I think this book is, I don't know what will. This is going down as one of my favorite books of 2021. The Casanova is everything I wanted and needed in a romance novel. Enemies to lovers with a bossy, possessive, sometimes asshole of a hero who is hot and all sorts of sizzling in the bedroom, and a heroine who doesn't back down and even makes him grovel? Yes, please. Elliot Miles is perfection. I need a machine to turn book characters into real life people, and I need it now. He's the CEO of the London branch of Miles Media. Kathryn is the IT Team Manager at the same company. They hate each other. He's an idiot towards her, and she doesn't take it lying down. The way they're at each other's throats is awesome. I loved the banter between them, and the tension really is palpable. Also, it was refreshing not to have the usual "he's the boss, I'm the employee, we can't" obstacle between them. Thank you for that, Ms. Swan. There are two moments that are pivotal for their relationship to change. One, when Elliot sees Kathryn in an outfit that is so different from what she wears to work. And two, when Kathryn has a health-related issue at work, it's Elliot who takes care of her and takes her home. All of a sudden, Kathryn becomes something more to him than a witch that works for him, and Elliot shows a side of him that was hidden until now. Please note: he is still bossy, and still possessive, and definitely hot, and I love him for all of it. There are just... more layers there. When the fun, scorching moments between them begin, it's off the charts. The banter goes on, and only makes everything hotter. And trust me when I tell you that Elliot may be possessive, but so is Kathryn. I really liked that he knew how to push all her buttons, even if not in the most tactful way. His social skills need some tuning, and his having-feelings-for-someone-and-not-knowing-what-to-do-with-them need that too. Big time. The last 25% are EVERYTHING. There's a plot twist that had me wanting to punch Elliot in his beautiful face. Part of me understood it, most of me did not. I found myself doubting this HEA, but I shouldn't have, because the ending was perfect. I won't say more about it, because I think it needs to be experienced (whether you love it or hate it will be up to you), and that's why I was reading until 1:30 am yesterday – I needed to know how this ended. It was worth every minute. "She smiles softly with her eyes closed and falls back to sleep. In the darkness, in her arms, I listen to her heartbeat. And I lose sight of mine." This was a fun, banter-filled, sexy and steamy read, with lovable characters that pulled me in and wouldn't let me go. Elliot and Kathryn carried the story entirely, and made it believable for me. I couldn't recommend it more!
*Thank you to TL Swan, NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review* TL Swan can do no wrong when it comes to writing the Mile High series. The Casanova is her best yet. Elliot Miles is swoon worthy, a total a-hole most of the time and is nicknamed the Casanova because women never turn him down. Kathryn Landon is an IT specialist at Miles Inc. Elliot is her boss. They can't stand each other... until they can. Their chemistry is hot, hot, hot! I read this in one day. Could not put it down. Absolutely brilliant!
Where do I start? I loved this book. This was a much anticipated book in the series for me. I loved how TL Swan added characters that we all know and love from her other books in there to tie everything together. Kate “Kathryn” works for Elliot Miles as the IT supervisor at his company. They’ve disliked each other for years until one day Miles looks at her differently. Offers her an arrangement and before you know it they are a secret item because of his fame. Of course not everything goes as planned and the media named Casanova makes many mistakes. Finding their way back to each other on her terms was a nice change in the book.
The Casanova is the third book in the Miles High Club and is a fantastic edition to the series. This book follows Elliot and Kate. Elliot is Kate’s boss and they do not get along at all so it is enemies to lovers and is similar to The Stopover in that aspect. I really did enjoy the romance between Elliot and Kate and though there was a lot of tension and connection. There is a great grovel scene from Elliot to Kate and if you like TL Swan’s other works you will adore this.
I loved the 1st two books in this series and I'm so happy to say I loved this book just as much. I laughed, I cried, and everything in between. I was invested in the main characters relationship, I really enjoyed seeing previous characters in this book aswell and I couldn't put this down. I highly recommend! ☆Enemies to lovers ☆Steamy ☆Office romance ☆Banter ☆HEA
DESERVES MORE THAN 5 STARS. Tristan was literally 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 that we're all so scared that Elliott won't meet the expectations. BUT let me say this, The Casanova 𝐓𝐎𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐘 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄. I really don't want to say more than this because I don't want to spoil it. 𝘐 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘥, 𝘴𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘥, 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘥, 𝘧𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥, 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥!! So be ready for that roller coaster of emotions. And yes, everyone makes an appearance. I want to reread all of them again. No idea what the last book is going to be about, but I know I'm going to love it already.
I recently discovered this author and have enjoyed several books by her. The beginning of this story was difficult to get through because I found the conversations between the two main characters to be childish and bordering on ridiculous. The last quester of the book was worth it though, when the answers to the questions came to light. Overall, a good story.
I have mixed views about this book. It could have been a great book to me if the profanity was not so over the top. Is the author even capable to write a conversation without swearing? So after 7% I almost stopped reading the book completely. Elliot and Kate are both grown ups but their confrontations and email exchanges are shocking and so unprofessional. Who speaks like this and especially in a boss-employee relationship? Can you imagine working in such a toxic environment for seven years? (By the way, if she has worked 7 years with him then she started when she was 20. It seems quite young. Did she even go to uni?) There is actually almost no pages without profanities. I found: - 490 fuck words - 123 hell words - 70 shit words - 21 bitch words - 17 crap words To add to this, despite his gorgeous looks and a fat wallet, Elliot is completely insane and has serious anger management issues. He is a control freak either yelling and cursing at you or hitting his mobile into a car seat. Imagine dealing with such crap on a daily basis. In some ways he reminded me of Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey. Elliot even hints to his "depraved tastes that are not for everyone" but later on we never really get to learn anything about that. Talk about a mislead! Remember the scene where a post office lady is doing a small talk and he is dropping f bombs in his own head and calling her a bitch? What stops him from thinking the same about this girlfriend if he loses patience? If all that crap was removed, the book actually would be 5+ stars. The story is engaging and it had a intriguing story plot and the sex scenes although quite graphic were also different (many erotic books are quite repetitive in sex scenes).
Elliot is the Casanova of the Miles boys. He is obsessed with an artist and believes in fate. He also hates the head of IT Kathryn Landon. Kathryn is dealing with her own past trauma, and hasn't felt alive in along time. When sparks kinda start to fly between her and Elliot Miles then all of a sudden Kate starts to feel herself again. Elliot is now starting to figure out sometimes life is pushed in a different way than he thinks. What happens though when he finds the artist he thought he was always fated to be with? What happens when Kate finds out that Elliot isn't the mean egotistical CEO? I really enjoyed Elliot and Kates story! It was funny and the banter was epic. It was a pretty fast burn IMO. I did cry and laugh. Elliot made some really heart breaking choices but the way this ending came together was everything!!!
It's no secret that I loved Jameson in The Stopover, but then I read The Takeover and Tristan became my favorite Miles Man. I couldn't wait to read Elliot's story so when it became available I devoured it and needless to say I was not disappointed! Elliot Miles definitely earned his name as the Casanova but underneath it all, he's a big ole romantic and I loved every second of his journey to find his soulmate. I couldn't wait to find out who this artist was that he was so enamoured with in the first two books so I was quite surprised when Kate was introduced in the beginning of this book. What a pair these two make! They are combustible and their chemistry heats up the pages but it's their banter and sweet, romantic moments that really got to me. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and can't wait to read Christopher's story but Tristan is still my favorite! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
I just recently got into the Miles' Brothers books, and was so excited to see the third book on NetGalley so had to get it immediately! To start, like the others, this book had awesome banter between Kate and Elliot. To say this book was exciting is an understatement. The amount of ups and downs and the roller coaster ride is just so dramatic, a trademark of TL Swan, I think. Of course, the book was steamy AF, which we all love. And we got a new side to Elliot that we didn't see in his brothers' stories, which I appreciated. Definitely give this one a read! Thank you to NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for the ARC in return for an honest review.
I have been a little wary of reading this author again after a previous book of hers let me down, but I’m so thrilled to have given this book a try. I absolutely adored this enemies to lovers romance and the ending was wonderful. I’m definitely adding the other two books to my tbr!
I received a copy of this book as an ARC from Netgalley for a honest review. TL Swan hit it out of the park here with Elliot and Kathryn's story. And what an emotional rollercoaster I went on. The banter was just what I needed. Dare I say Elliot is my favorite Miles brother now. Elliot runs Miles Media in London and he over the years earned the nickname Casanova. Kathryn is head of the IT department of Miles Media in Long and she hates her boss. Elliot has always had a thing for art and spends ridiculous amounts of money on the paintings that he does have. Kathryn years later is still dealing with her own trauma and because of that hasn't felt like her true self in a long time. Elliot is not man that Kathryn though was. And well, Kathryn isn't as mean as comes across. When randomly sparks start to fly between Elliot and Kathryn things get hairy.Neither of them want a relationship but of course feelings start to get involved. Bad decisions are made, feelings are hurt, and forgiving can be hard to come to terms with.
TL Swan has done it again! This book is everything we expect, a great story, awesome characters, some great laughs, chemistry and steam! A definite read.
4.5 stars Elliot Miles and Kathryn Landon’s story is definitely an enemies-to-lovers story. Kathryn works for Elliot’s company in London as the lead in the IT department. Whenever they are in the same room, the sparks. The angry banter between these two is actually pretty funny. After a health related scare, the way they see the other changes and what ensues is an up and down, and even sideways journey to their happily ever after. There are so many things happening in their story, there is a dating app that goes awry, an infatuation that causes havoc and a beautiful farm with crazy animals that made me laugh out loud. Both the MCs are fantastic together but they are fascinating as individuals. Elliott is such a contradiction, he is this womanizing jerk with the nickname, Casanova, but he is also a dreamer, a lover of art and looking for that fairy tale love story. There is just this sweetness to him, but still with that powerful and oh so arrogant CEO vibe. Kathryn is assertive, feisty and takes no cr@p from anyone, especially Elliott. But there is this vulnerable side to her too, my heart broke for what she had lost. Their chemistry was off the charts, and the twist at the end was totally unexpected. I loved it! Overall, an awesome read, some of Elliott’s choices really ticked me off, but in a way I kind of understood it too. Kathryn really stuck to her guns and really made Elliott work for it and he did it so well!! This is only my 2nd book I’ve read from this author, I’m definitely going to go through her backlist now! Thank you to Netgalley and Amazon Publishing UK for the complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
Move on over Tristan & Jameson, Elliot is my new man! I have never read a series where I am in love with every single brother. Yeah, yeah I know I am weird and sometimes fall in love with just one brother or all but one. Let me tell you, just like the other books in this series IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Not going to lie, I didn’t think anyone could top Tristan or his book but it did! I got all the feels. I cried, I laughed, I got mad, I got butterflies, and damn just like any other TL Swan book, it was hot! I absolutely love Kate! I love that she was tough. She didn’t take Elliots crap. They are perfect for each other. The ending was one of my favorite endings I actually did not expect it. I did expect one thing but not the other (sorry not spoiling). I also loved the connection with some of her other books. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC! I can’t wait to have the physical book on my shelves with my other Miles brothers!
Wow! This book had me going through a rollercoaster of emotions laughing out loud and crying the next. It's a read you won't want to put down and will probably stay up late reading as I did. Elliot, or Casanova as he's referred to by the tabloids, may show those he works with a hard, grumpy persona but behind his walls he's 100% a romantic looking for his love at first sight fateful moment. Kate is part of the IT department at his London office and they are always at each other's throats. But it may have been fate that they met under random user names on a dating app and became quick pen pals. Won't spoil it but I highly recommend this book! It is a spicy romance with a bumpy road to an enchanted HEA. The only thing that got me frustrated was the surprising turn of events at the end with Elliot ... but I think that just shows that TL Swan can write a truly engaging story when you want to toss your kindle in the air at a character's stupid decisions. I will definitely be grabbing the other books in this series!
Loved this book…maybe more than the first… I have read the first 2 books and T.L. Swan has yet again hit it out of the park with this 3rd book. I thought I would like the first book, The Stopover, the most but honestly compared to this book I don't know which is better! This is about a woman in the IT department of Miles Media and she can't stand her boss, maybe even hates him. Something catches Elliot's eye and feelings start to change. This book is a slight enemies to lovers, a fantasy love connection, and has a bad-ass MC who doesn't take crap from anyone. I really enjoyed this book and the series in general and would definitely recommend it! #Netgalley
5 stars The Casanova is one of my FAVORITE books of 2021! I need more of Elliot Miles in my life. TL Swan has done a wonderful job with the Miles High Club series! This book is right up there with The Stopover which was my favorite book last year. I love a good office, enemies to lovers romance and this book checked off all the boxes of all the tropes I love to read about it. There's also no shortage of steamy and s*xy AF scenes scattered throughout the book. Elliot comes off as an asshole but Kate slowly peels back his layers and you see the sweet, loving side of Elliot which I loved reading about. I loved that this book wasn't overdramatic either. It was literally the perfect book and I'm thankful for receiving an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley.
4 Enchanted Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Oh boy... Elliot is a romantic at heart and I love him! I swear that I was scared of getting another Jameson (The Stopover), and daydreaming about another Tristan (The Takeover). At the beginning I confess that I wasn't impressed... until at least 35%, the book wasn't delivering nothing special. That's probably why my review is missing a star. Elliot was a total jerk, but not the interesting brooding type, but the Jameson type... The kinda of guy that raises hell into everyone's life when things don't work the way he wants, and is in the verge of a heart attack because he's always stressed out. Kate was an interesting character since the beginning... A little extra on her attitude, because let's be real... Who would talk to the CEO of a huge media empire, and also your boss, the way she talked to Elliot? But it was entertaining to see their interactions and the evolution of their interest in reach other. Things got a lot better after they accept their attraction and the book took another direction entirely. One that I really loved! Elliot starts to show his better side and Kate let go of her bitchness to be funny and vulnerable in a good way. Their connection was amazing, super hot, and you could see clearly the growth of their feelings through each other. Elliot as a sweet and romantic, but totally possessive and dominant farm man, is definitely worth every heart ache! Another positive thing is all the interactions between the Miles brothers! They are truly an unique and united family! Looooved to see that Harry is still causing trouble to Tristan after all 😂. This book is full of laughs and fun moments, as much as the sexy and hot ones. The twist of the story wasn't a mistery to me, cause i could guess it very early, but it didn't ruined the book at all, since it was really well built and closed up. I really enjoyed this book and I loved how it ended! It was sweet, funny, sexy, entertaining and when Elliot fucked up, the groveling was real! You go girl! Love it! Can't wait for the last Miles brother and Tristan's boys books (because I'm pretty sure they'll get one! They're too much to let it pass 😂)
Thank you to NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for the opportunity to read this ARC. This honest review was based off my experience reading an ARC, which in no way biased me. First off, I would like to say I’m a big fan of TL Swan’s work. I have read the other two books in The Miles High Club, (The Stopover and The Takeover) along with the first book in her Mr. Series (Mr. Masters). TL Swan writes banter for enemies to lovers that is amazing, and the best part is that it starts almost immediately. Right at the beginning of chapter 1, Elliot and Kate show their hatred for each other and its already made me smile. Their banter isn’t just in their dialogue, but even in their snarky emails/anonymous messages to each other. TL Swan’s character’s dirty talk is immaculate. As well as how she writes smut. One of my favorite things about this author is that is good plot and good smut. Elliot is the “guy obsessed with the girl” and honesty it’s working for him. I will say Elliot is very different from the characters I’ve read. He’s such a hopeless romantic he doesn’t even notice his dream girl has been under his nose for YEARS, and like he doesn’t even realize what he has right there. “Elliot is a dreamer,” she continues. “He lives in a world where he is forced to be a realist, but in his heart, he is a romantic.” I thought that none of TL Swan’s books would come close to how much I love The Takeover, but I’m happy to say that this one got VERY close. I love this so much. It deserves the 5 stars I rated it. This book made me laugh, made me anxious FOR THEM, and almost cry. I had a great time. Reading The Stopover and The Takeover is not necessary to read this book, but I would highly suggest it. For context and because they are also very good.
The Casanova The Miles High Club TL Swan ★★★★★5/5 An amazing Enemies-to-Lovers with STEAMY spice. Elliot can dirty talk with the best of them. Elliot is a very private person by nature. He doesn’t flaunt around his love affairs (at least not serious ones). TL Swan wrote amazing in the beginning showing how much these two truly despised working with each other and the way she wrote Elliot changing his mind was mind altering because she wrote it in such a way that had to feeling it in you. All of the sudden he saw an attraction and not the annoying women who made him infuriated. Watching them fall in love when they were supposed to be “Friends with Benefits” was breath taking because it really seemed as if they just couldn’t control it. I loved how this story was wrapped up because I truly could see it coming but at the same time TL Swan didn’t give much away through the book. It had me in tears Reading Kate go through the heart break had me in tears at her pain.
I really enjoyed reading this book and the characters!! The chemistry between Elliot and Kate is so good. I liked reading their povs and how they each develop throughout the story. The enemies to lovers aspect of the story was honestly so interesting. It was also written well!! Their relationship development was something I loved most about the story. Kate is absolutely everything!! I love her character so much. She is strong and feels deeply which I could totally understand. Elliot honestly surprised me, even in the moments that made me want to yell at him lol. In the end I began to understand his emotions more. Although there was a certain moment that didn’t really do it for me I still think this book was overall interesting and an enjoyable read. I can’t wait to read more by this author!
The Casanova is the 3rd book with Elliott Miles, CEO of Miles Media UK. He's dubbed as the Casanova but deep down he is a romantic. Kathryn (Kate) is the head of IT at Miles Media amd pretty much the nemesis for Elliott. Until one day when Elliott actually notices her, even though she's worked in the Company for 7 years. Elliot, as we have read in the previous books, is obsessed with a certain artist and has been in search of her. Her paintings have called to him and he feels a deep connection. He believes that when he finally meets the person he has to be with, he'll know in the first instance. Which is the opposite of everything he has with Kate. He's hated her for years and therefore doesn't make any commitments. He wants a no strings relationship with her in secrecy. Privacy is a major issue in Elliot's life which we see throughout the book. With his heart in a split, he makes certain decisions that threatens their relationship. But I love a good groveling and Elliott did that for Kate. He knew what she needed and he was there. This story made me laugh, the Enchanted Kingdom is something special, and it made me cry. Elliot portrays to be the cold businessman but we see his kind heart in the small gestures he makes. Kate is so strong throughout the book, she risks everything she believes to be with Elliott, and that's more than what Elliott gives her. Kate knows what she wants and she pursues it. The main twist in the story was a little predictable to me but I enjoyed it nevertheless. I wanted to know how things would play out between the two.
I received an ARC for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Kathryn Landon has worked at Miles Media for years. However, she has never really gotten along with her boss Elliot Miles. Things are about to change when Elliot brings her home after a reaction to medication that didn’t go so well. Kate’s friends wanted her to get back out there and find a date. Not realizing her made-up person on the dating site is talking to Elliot and finding out he has developed feelings for her. Elliot Miles may be known as Casanova, but that doesn’t mean he is in real life. Having grown up in the spotlight all his life, all he wants is to find the artist who speaks to him through their paintings. However, his feelings for Kate start to surface, and Elliot decides to offer Kate a friends with benefits contract. Though Elliot still knows his art is out there, and that’s who he feels he is meant to be with. Kate and Elliot have such chemistry they can’t ignore it, but will it last? Will the artist come between Elliot and Kate? Will Elliot be able to let his guard down and profess his love for Kate? “It’s like I’m swimming out to sea with no sight of land. I know it’s dangerous, but I can’t get out of the riptide as I get swept along. Perhaps I wouldn’t even if I could. The water is dark, but it’s too late. I’m too far from the shore to turn back.” This book is by far one of my favorites. I haven’t laughed so much in a while. I also haven’t cried and felt the pain from such excellent writing. I could feel all the characters in this story deep within my bones. The narrative is impeccable and flows. Elliot and Kate's push and pull had me feeling every bump in their relationship. “What’s wrong with him? He keeps running away, he’s crying all the time.” Elliot “He’s looking for a mate. It’s normal for a goat of around this age to want….” vet “He’s horny? Are you kidding me? You kept me up all night because you’re horny? Just what I need.” Elliot “What do you expect? He is your son….after all.” Kate My favorite part of this book had to be the ducks and goats. The banter between the animals and Elliot was priceless. TL Swan did a stellar job of writing scenes I can and have read over and over again. Those scenes still make me laugh.
So glad to read this third installment in the Miles quartet! The Casanova features Elliot, the third brother and CEO of the London offices. I've been looking forward to Elliot's installment ever since I knew he had the fascination with the artist. I knew it was going to be good and boy, it was. Kate is his heroine. Let's face it. She's adorable, funny, and fiesty. I loved her no fear attitude. I simply loved her, I'll be honest and want to be her when I grow up! This is a lovely story. Now I'm going to be honest, the second book will always be my favorite because c'mon..Harrison! But this story had humor (homicidal ducks anyone?), the ultimate makeup and grovel scenes, and it was so steamy my fingertips singed. A great new addition to the series and I can't wait for the finale! Write faster Ms. Swan, write faster! As a side note to the editors - I had a little issue with how the text exchanges happened. There was no difference in the text between characters and I had a hard time deciphering sometimes who was saying what. Maybe bold one character or change the font style?
Elliott & Kathryn have a hate hate relationship. But one moment changes everything as they give into their attraction to each other. I loved the angry banter between them at the start & watching as Elliott starts to take down Kathryn's hard work shell. This had me feeling all the things. So many great moments specially with the Miles brothers. Laughed so many times & felt when Kathryn had her heart ripped out. Was great to have a male character being a secret romantic. I loved the overall arc & how all the pieces came together in the end. The only thing I wish was different was the side story with the room mate, I just wish that had been slightly different or left out altogether, just came off as weak. This is my favourite in the series so far. T.L. Swan has given us another great steamy (very steamy) story that I just devoured, did not feel like this was over 500pgs.
The Casanova is another great book in the Mike’s High series and what a winner this is. Elliot is CEO of Miles Media, Kathryn is I.T.lead and programmer. She has worked there for 7 years and they absolutely loathe each other. Elliot is always trying to force Kathryn to resign, she’s stubborn and refuses. One night Elliot sees Kathryn in an entirely new light, they get together and are pretty combustible. What really lifts this story into a page turner is not just the emotional developing relationship and the other strong characters, it is the humour and sheer excellence of the rapport between the two in their snarky exchanges. I rarely laugh out loud when reading but the sheer comedy scenes in this book are absolutely hilarious and a joy. A really lovely story, Elliot is an ass but redeems himself magnificently, this is a book that you’ll want to return to for many re reads. My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.
Okay, Elliot ALMOST beat Jameson out for the biggest douche on the planet. I mean I wanted to smack him so hard through about 80% of the entire book. This is not a sweet, loving, hot office romance. Their love story is painful, heartbreaking at times & honestly made me want to throw the book across the dang room & never even think of Elliot again. Can you tell how pissed off he made me? Honestly, the ending of this book & all the plot twists is what saved their story for me. I was so heated about Elliot's actions toward Kate at one point that I did not even want her to stay with him/or give him another chance. This is an enemy to lovers with so many twists that I honestly was so hurt for Kate. Their steam was good & I did feel their connection with each other. However, I feel like because of all the drama that we uncover with Elliot & what he is hiding with his emotions... that their connection did not really make sense to me with how intense it seemed. If you like a painfully hurtful Hero who & a Heroine who is trying to find herself after grief then this book is for you. It was a rough book to get through but I loved the ending & Elliot did somewhat redeem himself in my head.
4.25 stars Okay, this is the second book I read of the High Miles Club, and I loved the banter between Elliot and Kate. It was such a fun time. I loved their personality (Pinkie and Edgar) hahaha. However, there was some stuff I didn't like: Elliot's obsession with being with someone "exceptional" and also the drama was very lacking for me. Otherwise, it was such a fun and steamy read, and from now on I will look forward to reading TL. Swan. Thank you so much NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for giving me an opportunity to reading this ARC in exchange of an honest review.
The Casanova (Miles High Club #3) T L Swan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The superlatives I could use to describe ‘The Casanova”, would consume a dictionary. Brilliant, heartwarming, emotional, hot(yes, I consider that a superlative) satisfying, addictive, I could go on and on. But what I can confidently tell you is that Elliott Miles, though complicated in his behaviour, is the enchanted prince to Kathryn Landon’s happily ever after story. They just don’t know it! Two very complicate characters who come from such different worlds but who share an underlying true romantic streak. A true enemies to lovers trope but with the considerable finesse that comes with a TL Swan story. Every detail, every twist, every plot turn perfectly timed for maximum reading enjoyment and delivering on every minute promise of more to come in the story. This book was just 100% incredible. Every word, every character and every scenario was measured and delivered with brilliance and incredibly moving and emotive writing and I am honoured that I got to read and review The Casanova. More Miles to come and I just can’t wait. Can you?????
I was thrilled to receive an ARC from Netgalley of the Casanova. This is the 3rd book in the Miles High Club series and I loved the first two books and this one did not disappoint. This is an enemies to lovers book about Elliot Miles who runs Miles Media and Kathryn who is the IT manager. They hate each other and have no problem letting the other one know just how much. I don’t want to give too much away because this book has a few twists that I didn't see coming. I loved the banter and emotion and also the humor that was in this book! I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys great banter, lots of sexy times and wants to laugh a lot! Thank you Netgalley and Amazon Publishing UK for the eARC! I loved it!
Another TL Swan hit! I loved watching Elliot and Kate’s romance play out. Not only was The Casanova the perfect steamy, romance, it was also hilarious! Kate is smart and sassy and doesn’t immediately gush over Elliot’s charm like he assumes she will do. The sexual tension is perfect and it throws in some drama that I did not see coming. If you loved the previous two Miles’s book then you’ll definitely love The Casanova!
Enchanted Fate I cannot put enough into words to express how much I enjoyed The Casanova book by TL Swan. Elliott and Kate’s love story was phenomenal and I love how fate played a part. Elliott is one sexy hot lover but yet a romantic at heart who is convinced that his forever is going to be by fate. Kate is a very strong independent woman that busts his balls at every turn. Their banter is absolutely hilarious and it made this book perfect. I loved Pinkie Leroo and Edgar Moffatt’s part in this story and Elliott’s brothers too especially the day they came for a surprise visit on his birthday and I cannot forget to mention the feral ducks. I am so glad all the brothers were included in this story along with the banter between them. This was one of the best books I have ever read that gives you all the emotions of a relationship and makes you feel good. I did not want this story to end!! I am ready so for Christopher’s book to come out. TL Swan is an amazing author and I have purchased and read all of her books and every single one has been outstanding. I encourage you to buy and read any of her books and I promise you that you will never be disappointed and will be a fan of hers for life.
The next person I see telling people that The Stopover is a standalone is going to get karate chopped. IT LITERALLY ISN'T A STANDALONE! IT'S A SERIES! THEY'RE BROTHERS! JUST READ THEM ALL! Anyway. I loved this one. Kate and Elliot have an enemies to lovers story, and we finally get to find out who that artist Elliot loves is. Lots of sex scenes, per usual, and these felt less spicy and more romantic. If you've read the other stories in this series, you must pick this one up!
**Received ARC for honest reviews** I want to start off to say that I have read all of TL Swan's books and I think she is just a truly amazing author. I think it's safe to say I will be a fan of her writing till the day I die. The two previous books - The Stopover and The Takeover set the bar exceptionally high, especially The Takeover. I loved previous two books so much I wished I could give them 10 stars. Now this book...I love Kate, she's strong and knows what she wants. Elliot is cute, hot, everything like his brothers Tristan and Jameson, plus a little more romantic at heart. Another awesome work from TL Swan.
Yet another hot sexy installment about the Miles brothers. You can read it as a stand alone or as part of the series. I love the characters and the chemistry is amazing! You can't help but get involved.
I loved Jamieson and Tristan but Elliott just stole my heart. What a big ol softie he turned out to be. TL Swan never disappoints with her stories and this one was up with one of my favourites. All her books have great twists and turns there is no straight line break up get back together happily ever after which makes her books all that more enjoyable to read. Her wit and humour through out her stories beguiles me. Thanks for another outstanding book T
I have read multiple TL swan books in the past and had mediocre feelings. I enjoy most of the books from a overall perspective but sometimes they are a little jarring when I least expect it. I did really enjoy the first book in the Miles High series and I haven't read the second one. I totally forgot that a third brother existed. I liked the main character Kate, she was spunky and fun and had realistic thoughts, actions and problems. the one thing I didn't like about her was the internal monologue that I think was supposed to subtly set up the romance, it really wasn't subtle at all. Elliot was also a fun character. I am getting kind of tired of the playboy trope, I find it lacking in really character depth because actions are totally excused in favor of habit. This book was a little different we got to see lots of versions of Elliot at once even though he didn't know it. I really didn't like the climax of the book, it really pissed me off and I wanted to throw my phone, at the same time I understood the dilemma and would have probably done something similar, add in some healthy communication though... if you have read and enjoyed other books by this author, you will definitely like this one. Adult romance readers who enjoy a bit of unreliable characters, spice, multiple perspectives and chapters that leave you finishing the book at the end of the night will also enjoy this book. this gets a 3.75 from me!
Dare I go ahead and proclaim now that this will be the best book I read in 2021? I can say with certainty it has been my favorite so far, and it will be a tough one for anything to beat out the rest of the year! I laughed, I cried a bit, then I laughed some more…I felt all the feels with this book! I am here for Elliot’s snarky humor, Kate’s snap backs, and the steam between them both. One of the reasons I adore this series so much are the hard-working heroines who take zero shit from these brothers. It’s refreshing to read about them having successful careers on their own both before and after connecting with the heroes. This will absolutely be a book I re-read multiple times. I cannot wait to grab the audio book as well as soon as it comes available! I have sooo many highlights of my favorite quotes from this book, but I will hold off on sharing any for the time being to avoid any potential spoilers! I loved the first two books in this series as well and recommend reading them first for the full Miles brothers experience! Thank you NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for the ARC in return for my honest review.
This book is everything I needed to get out of a reading slump! I love all the miles brother, and Elliot may just be my favourite (although for the longest time it was Tristan)! Definitely give this book a read!
I have enjoyed Ms. Swan's in the past, but this has not been the case with her last two books. The steam is there, but even that gets old after a while, and I simply was left wanting more story and character development. I am aware Ms Swan has a rabid fanbase and I am not writting this to be unkind. I am stating this as a reviewer that has read a lot of her books. The arguing scenes between Elliot and Kate were reminiscent of Mr.Gracia and at times I felt like I was reading the same book. The twist towards the end of the book felt a little too late. I don't know if there's pressure to produce and release more books, but I really miss the quality of the first two books of this series and her other books.
Love this author, her books are always exceptional and this is another great book. I love her characters She brings them to life in this story! Funniest book ever!
🤞🏼Enemies-to-Lovers 🔥Steamy sex scenes 💼Workplace Romance 😂Hilarious Banter 😳WTF moments/plot twist 💖HEA As much as this was touted as an enemies to lovers, I didn't really buy that. That being said this was my favourite in the series so far, but I haven't had the best experience with this series so far but I keep trying to find a T.L. Swan book I love. While I didn't find it here, I'm not giving up and I didn't hate this like I did the stopover. Elliott and Kathryn were fine and I actually laughed a little. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own. 3.5 Stars
„You feel more at home at my home… or maybe it’s me that feels at home when you’re there.“ The positives: ↣ Elliott is such an interesting love interest. He has this very playful, sweet, romantic and profound side, but he can also be so possessive, domineering and imposing. I enjoyed his character a lot, he was different from many other heroes I have read. ↣ Every book in this series so far has managed to make me laugh and this one was no exception. In every book, there is one specific reaccuring plotpoint that is absolutely hilarious and works so well with the story that I cannot help but laugh out loud while reading. All I‘ll say is 🦆🐏🐐 ↣ Every time all the other Miles men had a scene together made me so happy. These four brothers have such a wonderful bond and I love their banter. Also, every cameo of Tristan and his family was a balm to my The Takeover-missing heart. ↣ I really loved the ending of this book, everything came together so perfectly. There was a conflict at the end and we also had a mystery throughout the book and those two things wove together to make for a very satisfying finish to this romance. The negatives: ↣ The hate to love didn‘t really work in this book. They did dislike each other in the beginning, yes, but it only took Elliott seeing Kathryn in a dress one time to change his mind about her. Out of nowhere they found each other irresistibly sexy and I didn‘t understand the quick change of heart. I would have liked there to be a better transition between the hate- and the attraction-stage. Huge thank you to Netgalley and the author for providing me with an ARC of this book.
I was bored to death. I stopped reading at about 70% mark and read the last page. I don't know what else to say. I think this book was trying to emulate those regency romances with farms and whatnot.
Each book in the Miles High Club is good, but this one is my favorite! I could not put it down. Elliot is then arrogant CEO of the London branch of Miles Media. And Kathryn works in the IT department. They both dislike each other immensely. Until Elliot see Kathryn in a new light while watching her on the security camera. He charms Kathryn and she finally comes around to not hating him. But he only wants a friends with benefit relationship. And she can see herself falling for him. This book was funny had all of the feels. T.L Swan is a great writer that draws you in and keeps you captivated until the end.
Wow wow wow a truly fantastic read, laugh out loud bits along with very steamy love scenes, a terrific hero to match our super heoine, love this book
DNF at page 124. I was honestly kind of excited for this book - enemies to lovers when the tension has been brewing for a good few years at the point we meet them. HOWEVER I just couldn't find anything I liked about either of our leads or any of the side characters, and the writing did nothing for me. I also couldn't tell where this book was set and I HATE that in books. There was a mention of Harrod's so I thought, ok, London, but then reference to Emergency and not A&E, and the various other Americanisms through me. THEN I discover the writer is an Australian and not an American so I'm even more confused, and honestly, I just could not get into this book. I gave it about 25% to pull me in and it just wasn't for me. Shame.
Monday mornings are bad enough without the day starting with a meeting with Kathryn from IT. For some reason, they seem to clash over everything and their arguments need Elliot's brother Christopher to come and rescue him. Why does she frustrate him so much? Although a glimpse of someone dancing at the photocopier one evening in a netball outfit has Elliot taking notice until he realises that it is Kathryn. Elliot Miles has to be the most annoying man on earth but he is handsome and has the most gorgeous blue eyes. Having lost her parents six years also Kathryn (Kate) has been living a shell of her former life not pushing herself or making an effort. With her new flatmate slowly getting her out of her shell and dressed to impress. Gathering Elliot's attention at a function outside of work. A fearless private person he wants to keep his life with Kate behind closed doors. With their passion overflowing in the bedroom. But their communication skills need work as they encounter hurdles along the way. Following your heart was never easy but what happens when you realise you've made a mistake?
Thank you to NetGallery for providing me with an arc for a non-spoiler review! I am a huge TL Swan fan! So you betcha I have read The Stopover & The Takeover, so was more than excited to jump into the 3rd book in the Miles High Club series about the Miles brothers. Other TL Swan fans will also recognise other names from her Mr series featured as well. You don't have to have read the previous two books as this can be read as a standalone, however I do recommend to get the real feel of the world Tee has created/written. Elliot Miles is the CEO of Miles Media in London. He is a 34 bachelor, who as much loves his job - Is looking for a romantic change. He dreams of that "love at first sight" & romantic story to tell his children. What he didn't count on what Kathryn Landon. The IT manager at Miles Media who does anything & everything to disobey Elliot, even if he is the CEO of a international multi media company. She is independent, stubborn & a strong woman, who knows what she wants & how she wants to be treated. And the best thing about that? Elliot loves that. He finds himself more than respecting her but needing her more in his life. Even if she isn't his "love at first sight". Elliot & Kate start as a friend with benefits to escape from their own lonely lives. But as everyone knows, friends with benefits can't work if feelings start to emerge. Which of course they do. Except what happens when Elliot is presented with his fairy tale moment, with another woman? I devoured this book within 24 hours. 5/5 stars with 3/5 steam. Have pre-ordered the paperback (due out August 26th) which I can't wait to reread in the future! Thanks again Tee for an addictive steamy romance!
This book was amazing!! Absolutely hysterical seriously. Elliot and Kate seriously make the funniest couple with some serious chemistry!! The part at his estte with the anmals made me lol and the GG comment in his letter. I enjoyes this book so much. They were so good together and the ending was amazing!!
This is my first book by this author, so I have not read the earlier books in this series. We have an enemies-to-lovers in the office here, both my jam. Elliot and Kathryn have been at odds with each other for years. He is the CEO, she the Head of IT, so they have to work together but he actually offers her money to resign. Until he sees her on the office CCTV camera in a netball dress, dancing. Kathryn has lost her parents in a car crash 7 years ago and still mourns their loss. She lives with a flatmate and they welcome a new (male) flatmate called Daniel, who is a personal stylist and choses Kathryn as his new project. She changes her appearance... and Elliot seems very interested. Which I mostly don't like, but here I accepted it. Elliot has always been looking for The One and he is convinced he will know when he meets her. He is also entranced by the paintings of a certain female artist. When he gets feelings for Kate, he is not sure it is just temporary or that she is The One. As Kate and Elliot are also communicating via a dating app under aliases, this is an integral part of the plot. This book has so many funny scenes and I loved the banter between Elliot and his brothers, the whole animal thing and the steamy interactions between the main characters. There were several 'fate' references and this all comes together nicely in the end. I do think Elliot is a bit immature for his age in certain things but I loved the things he did in the end to win Kate back. Overall a good story and I look forward to reading more of this author.
This was an epic read. Just full of angst and feels. I was swooning page after page. Elliot was so driven, cold and dreamy. I loved the complexity of his character. His flaw was his undoing and his heart. Pinkie ie Katheryn Landon was witty, smart and most of all real. I love the layers of these characters. The side characters offered depth and comedy. It was overall a great book. It ended properly with no stone unturned. It was also lovely to get an update about the other brothers. So I guess Christopher is up next. Please make it age gap with a powerful and cunning woman.
I was so excited for this book because I really enjoyed the first 2 books (especially the second book in the series, the Takeover, about Tristan.) However, I admit that I became a little lost with this book. I still enjoyed it- there was some fun banter, a little bit of “you’ve got mail” twist and the animals. Those scenes made me laugh out loud. I also adored the scenes with the brothers all together. They also made me chuckle and I loved revisiting the brothers (the wives were less present). That said, the weakest parts for me were the main couple. They hated each other but then one scene with Kate dressed up and dancing made all the difference? Seems shallow. Elliott had an anger problem and bother we’re quite immature. Case in point- they went to a work function and they couldn’t come out as a couple. Someone sat next to Kate and was talking to her so he decides he needs to make her jealous by flirting with someone else. He is in his mid 30s! The inevitable falling out (typical of romance novels) was toeing the line of unacceptability. I’m not sure I would have taken him back. Again, this cemeteries around an immature notion of love. Overall, this is a 3.5 star I have purchased the audiobooks for the last 2 books and will likely do so again for this book. Perhaps listening to it will make me like Elliot. My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for an early copy!
5 "Extradinorary" Stars ... E I E I O A fantastic addition to the series! I laughed, I swooned and I even shed some tears. I loved the way Kate stood up to Elliott ... she didn't let him get away with anything. She is so sarcastic! At the beginning I really didn't like Elliott AT ALL ... what a jerk the way he treated Kate ... well everyone really. But after awhile I warmed up to him as he is really a romantic at heart. The part where it was the morning of Elliott's birthday, I laughed soooo hard there were tears running down my face ... just wait till you read it (I won't say anymore on that because I don't want to spoil it for others). I loved the banter between the brothers ... very realistic. Even though I LOVED this book ... Tristan is still my absolute favorite brother ... hands down! But don't get me wrong ... I would take any one of them ... lol! Kate has worked for Miles Media for 7 years. Elliott and her have hated each other from the very first day. One night when Elliott is watching the security camera, he sees the back of a blond bombshell dancing in the photocopy room and he is shocked when she turns around ... Kate ... was she always that sexy? You know that fine line between love and hate? Well, it's about to be crossed. I received an early copy courtesy of Amazon Publishing UK through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review,
Miles High! The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: ♥️🖤💙💜💛 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📘📙 World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌍 Character development: 🤕🤬🤯😲🥰 Favorite Quote: “This is what sex is supposed to be like. Hot, hard, and sweaty. Where the rules are: there are no rules.” The heroine: Kate Landon (a.k.a. Pinkie Laroo) - an IT manager at Miles Media. Kate lost her parents six years ago and it affected her greatly, she basically shut down her emotions. She is afraid of getting too close to people for fear that they will die and leave her broken-hearted. The Hero(es): Elliot Miles (a.k.a. Edgar Moffatt) - CEO of the London and German divisions of Miles Media. His brother Christopher works with him at the London office and his two other brothers Jameson and Tristan work at the New York office. Elliot doesn’t date because every time he has in the past, the paparazzi follows him around and posts everything about his relationships which ends up scaring any “real” girls away. He has been dubbed “Casanova” Miles by the press. The story: Kate and Elliot have worked together for years but always hated each other and fought like crazy. But when Miles is checking out the security feeds one night to see where in the building his brothers are, he comes across a feed of Kate in a short red netball dress dancing in front of a copy machine and feels something for the first time in years. The interactions between Elliot and Kate are amusing and some are super steamy. I like that the books in this series are long and there are plenty of intimate scenes. Elliot is hot, demanding and dominant and I really liked him. He is also a romantic at heart, which isn’t always a good thing since he thinks that despite the feelings he is having for Kate, she is not “the one”. Elliot’s romantic heart tells him that when he meets “the one”, he will immediately know it from the first time he sees her. Like he will feel the earth move or something and just know. Since he felt nothing more than annoyance for years after meeting Kate, he thinks he just wants her for her body. The story was really good and I just loved the fact that they were constantly messaging one another anonymously on a dating site and through that, Kate got more insight into what Elliot was feeling since she was aware from very early on that her friend Edgar was in fact Elliot. There was a lot of back and forth about their relationship in this book, but I guess I like that more in some books than in others. I don’t know why it bothers me sometimes when the story alternates between fighting and making up, between uncertainty and steamy scenes, but I enjoyed it all in this book and I will most definitely be waiting for Christopher Miles’s story next. I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Unfortunately I could not get into this novel largely due to misogynistic male lead, Elliot. He's rude, insufferable, arrogant and so incredibly disrespectful to the heroine. When he finds a security footage of her dancing provocatively he turns stalkish. KAT needed to file a sexual harassment charge against himnot fall in love with him. Just couldn't stomach the rest of it.
** Review for ARC copy through NetGalley** Ok so I read the Stopover and TheTakeover so fast and are it up! Then was so sad I couldn’t read Cassanova as it wasn’t released. But oh the surprise once I saw it on NetGalley! So thankful that I received a copy because I couldn’t wait! And let me tell you it did not disappoint! Elliot was everything! And it typical Miles Brother’s fashion he did frustrate me at times but his development and his heart sucked me in. My boy was simping hard by the end! Kate was so fascinating. I loved see her open herself up again and because the person she wanted to be and find the life she wanted. We have: -Hate to Love -Rivals-to-Lovers -Workplace romance -Jealous dancing -Angry confessions -GROVEEEEELLLLL -plot twists!!! - so much more The over arcing theme of “Are things meant to be or are they simply a matter of circumstances?”was always pulling threads at all my theories. Deciding between what you think you want and what is meant for you. Their romance developed so differently from the other books and yet it made me love it so much more. I laughed and I cried. I even had to stop and tan myself from some of the spicey scenes! And don’t get me started on the rest of the Miles Brother’s and their families cameos! My heart was full I was so happy!! Absolutely loved it!
This is hard book to rate. I really enjoyed Kate's character. She is strong, loving, and witty. Her past grief has sort of stunted her relationships and this book is about her moving forward. With the help of her flatmates she starts down that path. I would give her 4/5 stars because she was great. Elliott was hard to like. He makes bad decisions, has these high expectations on how Kate should be when it comes to me, and it was annoying. In the end, I didn't really feel he deserved Kate.
TL Swan has done it again! I absolutely LOVED this book! The Takeover has been my favorite thus far in the Miles High Club series but I think Elliot (The Casanova) may be my new favorite Miles. It starts as an enemies to lovers and I was living for the witty banter and blooming romance between Kate Landon and Elliot. Once I started reading this I could not put it down. The characters were complex and the plot twist had my jaw on the floor. It had me laughing out loud multiple times and I adored all of their witty banter back and forth throughout the book. The story is swoon worthy, heartwarming, and spicy in the BEST way and I 10/10 recommend picking it up, or any book in this series for that matter! I can't wait for the next installment :)
Jameson ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tristan... History repeats itself... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Elliot... History RE-repeats itself... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Damn, when the Miles brothers fall in love, they fall hard and they love even harder... T. L. Swan just abso-fucking-lutely nailed the story of the third Miles brother. This book is sizzling, it is captivating, it is sexy, it is downright hilarious (really, REALLY hilarious), it is emotional, it is steamy... Basically, it was pure Swan magic! Elliot is a Miles. Rich beyond sense, sexy, arrogant, and a Casanova. Apart from all these, he is also a dreamer, he is sentimental, he is thoughtful, and a true believer in destiny. Be prepared to not be prepared for him. I wanted to throw my kindle on the wall because of him and also to snuggle with it, again because of him. Kathryn now is everything he needed and hoped for, but never believed he would have wanted... She is sassy, and she is strong and vulnerable. And whilst he told her he wanted "extraordinary", she was it! Ordinary yet exactly the extraordinary he was looking for! What starts as a hateful work relationship between Elliot and Kathryn, turns into a friends-with-benefits arrangement, and without (Elliot) realizing it, this arrangement turned into an intense, strong, karmic, destined, great love story. Five amazing stars for The Casanova. I devoured this book so fast, i literally could not put it down. It is a definite page-turner as all of Swan's books are. Elliot and Kathryn were amazing together... From their banter to their full-on fights, their amazing and earth-shuttering sex, and from their intimacy to the off-the-charts chemistry between them, everything was masterfully crafted. Very few authors manage to make me feel extremely hot at one moment and then to burst out laughing 5 minutes later. Or to "hate" and be angry at a certain hero (khm khm Elliot) whilst also getting goosebumps from him and wanting to devour him. I can't wait to see history RE-re-repeating itself and the fourth and last Miles brother also capturing my heart, mind, and soul. A big thank you also to NetGalley, thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me the opportunity to dive into this long-anticipated gem early on! You rock!!!
This should come as no surprise if you have read my reviews of the first two books of this series, but I loved this book!!! For the first half, I thought ok it’s really good but nowhere as good as the first two. But then bam, the second half did me in. I don’t think anything will ever trump Tristan for me but man, did I end up falling for Elliot. I loved the little plot details like the farm animals, the emails and those letterssss! The last 20-30% of this book is straight gold! The resolution had my like 🤯 and then 😍. TL Swan’s writing style is so addictive. She knows how to draw you in, break your heart and then put it back together in the most enjoyable way. Christian Miles is next. I think we got a little “Easter egg” and I predict the final book with be called “The Do Over”. Can’t wait but also don’t want this series to be over!! Thank you to NetGalley for an e-ARC in exchange for my honest review. Mark your calendars, pub date is 8/26!
This ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I will never get enough of these books! Mr. Elliot Miles is a grumpy hotshot CEO, Kathryn is an IT wiz who works for his company…and oh yeah, they DESPISE each other. Man this book was literally gold. Enemy’s to lovers is the all time best romance trope and you won’t change my mind. I just love these books, the Miles brothers are literally some of my favorite characters of all time. And can I just say, Elliot and his ducks just made my heart so happy I almost peed reading it. Ugh so good. Watching Elliot and Kate fall for each other was just so sweet and I ate it up, and the TWIST…man straight fire. Everyone needs to read this book, hell everyone needs to read all these books, they are amazing!!
T L Swan genuinely never disappoints. Her books are front and center in my must-read list. The Casanova is such a wonderful addition to The Miles High Club series. Elliot Miles is the CEO of Miles Media UK and Kathryn Landon is their computer analyst. They both despise one another, but things take a turn. This romance is spicy, swoon-worthy, and absolute goals. There is no lack of chemistry between these two. Every twist and turn was well thought out and added to the intensity of the book. Happy to say this book most definitely lives up to the hype.
Thank you NetGalley & the Author for this ARC review. Honestly this book is nothing like the others, but that's what makes it so good! I loved Jameson and Tristan's books & was so excited to read Elliot's book. In Tristan's book the author hints at his obsession with an artist. Enemies to lovers, Elliot and Kate are known to bicker and butt heads at work but where did that spark come from all of a sudden??? Kate has a hard couple of years & with her friends help, she is finally thinking about finding herself again. Elliot is a hopeless romantic that despises the media and has a slight communication problem. I was skeptical at first about this book because it seemed SO different than the other two books in the series. But then I devoured this book in less than 24 hours!! I could not put it down. When I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about reading it and what was going to happen next. The storyline was unbelievable, so many twists & turns, It will definitely keep you on your toes the entire time. Oh and all the feels with this book - I was happy, mad & swoony multiple times throughout the book. You won't be disappointed with this book, I promise.
Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read The Casanova by TL Swan. First of all, I love this author and I've loved this series. The Miles brothers are kind of book boyfriend perfection! This was an enemies-to-lovers office romance with funny banter and lots of steam! Kate and Elliot started off with a rocky hateful relationship that quickly turned physical and down right sweet. Elliot is a romantic at heart and a true believer in fate and Kate was feisty enough to put up with Elliot's temperament. I loved these two together. Kate's sister was an interesting piece to this book that made for an unexpected plot twist. I REALLY enjoyed it! I definitely recommend this book and the entire series.
*I received this ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.* I have a mix of emotions about this book. The reason is because I loved , loved The stopover and Takeover, so my expectations were very high. Don’t get me wrong, Elliot is like the others Miles we know, handsome, grumpy and bossy but the plot was confusing for me. When I finished book 2, Elliot was the brother who loves art, and I thought the line was there but I was wrong. This is an enemy to lovers, work proximity kind of romance. The banter, fights and strong dialogues between this two was fun, but I kind of not believe the way Elliot finds Kate attractive. There were parts very very funny, I laugh out loud like book 1, and of course the sex, hot steamy scenes were absolutely perfects. I think my problem was that, it was a long book, and on many parts, the story were not believable. Overall though, it’s still a good read.
This book really surprised me how good it was. Elliot Miles is absolutely my favorite brother. I love that he’s the grumpy one that’s actually soft and a secret romantic. I love the workplace, enemies to lovers banter and romance. I thought they matched each other so perfectly. I loved the paced, steam and action in every page. I thought the author really outdid herself with this book and the twists and turns were interesting, the conflict was well done and solved itself in a good pace so overall. Great book!
What a treat to get to meet Elliot and Kate a little early! This is book 3 in the 4 book Series; The Miles High Club by Tee. Elliot runs the London office of Miles Media and is the demanding, grumpy boss. Kate is in IT and is the nerdy girl, who lives to got to battle with Elliot. They hate each other at the start and the back and forth between them is funny AF. Some of the put downs are just hilarious. The sarcasm is strong in this one and it called to the Brit in me. Kate’s dejected by her lack of love life and so she joins a dating app. She makes a friend but when Elliot starts looking at her with heat and announces he finds her vulnerability appealing, she starts to wonder if her new online pal is actually her boss! There are so many funny moments in this book and I was here for all of it. The funnies, the feels and the menagerie of pets! Billy is so freaking funny. There are cameos from Jameson and Tristan from books 1 and 2 and the scene where they knock on wood will have you cracking up. As we learn more about Elliot’s sensitive side you can’t help but feel for him and his need to keep his private life private. Kate reveals Elliot’s gooey centre layer by layer and slowly falls in love with the man he keeps hidden from the outside world. There is international travel, hot office moments, a runaway goat and some gorgeous love letters. They finally get their happily ever after and even though I laughed so hard throughout this book it left me feeling warm and fuzzy at the end. Tee not only makes you giggle but pulls on your heart with how their story unfolds. Classic dry humour mixed with funny but complex characters, set in hilarious situations. What more could you want? You can’t go wrong with Tee’s books and I did not see that plot twist coming at the end. I LOVE A GOOD PLOT TWIIIIIIIIIIIIIST!!!!!!!
What an amazing 6 star story this was. I devoured this page turner while relaxing on the beach. Elliott can’t tolerate Kate, his IT manager. It’s hate for both of them. There’s a fine line between love and hate. They are about to find out how thin that line is. This was a fun, highly entertaining read that had me reading non stop while lounging on the beach. I loved everything about this story. It was addicting and captivating. It was funny at times. Bottomline this is a must read. Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
The Casanova is the third book in the Miles High Club series by T.L. Swan. I have read the first two books, but you don't necessarily have to read this series in order. Each book will stand alone. That being said, I liked this one, but I didn't love it. There were some really cute parts which include ducks and goats, as well as plenty of steamy parts that I didn't really care about. I am still interested in this series and will probably go ahead and read the next one when it comes out. This review is based on my personal opinion. There are many people who truly love this book. I recommend it if you like contemporary romance with the rich boss trope. My sincere thanks to Amazon Publishing UK and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book and give my unbiased opinion of it.
<The ARC copy of this book was provided by NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK in exchange of an honest review> Kate's as well as Elliot's profile for the dating app was hilarious. I didn't enjoy this book as much as I predicted I would. It had no character development. It was steamy. I'll give you that. But I feel like it should've been ended at around 50% mark. Would've been at least a four star read for me then. I hate unnecessary artificial dramas for the sake of prolonging a book. Believe me, this book was full of it. It definitely had the potential. Writing style was good. However, I'm reluctant to read any more books of this author. Because she didn't really make a good impression. I'm glad I didn't pick up the previous books of this series. Not gonna read those ever. Overall, I wish it was an enjoyable read. Honestly, this was one of those book where I actually didn't want a happy ending. And I'm a sucker for happy endings.
Miss Pinkie Leroo and Edgar Moffatt♥️ After reading the blurb and the previous books in this series I thought that I had some idea what this book was going to be about, but I was completely wrong and pleasantly surprised. I thought that Tristan from The Takeover was a big child but he is nothing compared to Elliot. But there’s just something about heroes like that that you can’t help but love, and I really, really love T.L. Swan’s heroes. There were more than few times when he was driving me crazy with his actions and behavior but I couldn’t help swooning over him when he was being all protective and jealous and when he showed his kind and charming side. Kate was incredible. When I first started reading this book I didn’t like her very much and was convinced that I would start hating her but that quickly changed. I more than loved the chemistry and banter between Kate and Elliot and how they started from hating each other and arguing every single chance they got to being inseparable. There were many things I loved about their relationship but at the same time, there were some I didn’t like and I couldn’t shake the feeling like something was missing. Still, they were made for each other and I enjoyed reading about them. Like with other books in this series there were a lot of hilarious, streamy, heartwarming scenes and of course amazing secondary characters. The Casanova was a beautifully written enemies-to-lovers story and I loved it! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review✨
I'll admit it, when I heard that this book was going to be released, I Googled until my heart couldn't take it anymore. A blurb. A hint. Anything! I just needed to know something to satisfy that curiosity. I have read both of the previous books in the Miles High Club, but I don't remember having this much excitement over them. For The Stopover, I remember the basics, and that's about it. A year passed, The Takeover was released, and Tristan Miles instantly became my favorite brother. There was just something about his story with Claire that resonated within me. Claire didn't see herself in the same light that Tristan did, and he fought for her against all reasonable odds. To say that I had such high hopes for this book was an understatement. Elliot "Casanova" Miles is the third in line to the Miles Media empire. Like he mentions, his options are limited in the US, so he decides to CEO the UK branch. It's not so bad, except that the press hounds him as a celebrity when all he wants to do is keep his private life... private. It's ironic that it's the media that nicknames him Casanova Miles. Now, with a name like that you would instantly think of someone smooth like butter. A real ladies man that just knows how to lay on that charm. I personally thought that the fantasy was better than the reality. Sure, on the surface, he's every woman's wet dream, but underneath, I found him lacking and riddled with insecurity and self-doubt. He exhibited typical jerk behavior of someone who thought they were god's gift and could do no wrong. He even commits an unforgivable relationship sin and never owns or apologizes for it. There are redeemable qualities within him along with several awww moments, but I am not sure they were strong enough to make an indestructible case on why he's the best choice for Kate. Kathryn Landon can't stand her boss. It's been seven years, and he still goes out of his way to avoid her. I am pretty sure that if I was in her shoes, I would have given up much sooner due to a hostile work environment. I think that sums up a lot about her character. She's not a doormat, but she doesn't fight back either. She just numbs the pain and moves on, never dealing with the initial conflict. In essence, she's just been worn down. When a new roomie moves in, Kate starts to reconnect with her old self, the girl that actually lived life. For the most part, I liked Kate. I just thought she got the short stick on almost every situation. I think what bothers me the most about these two characters is that I am not sure they have a healthy relationship. I am also not sure that after all of their good and bad times, that the heartbreak was worth the happy ending. I really felt like these two had so much personal growth that should have been explored on their own. For two professional adults, they seemed to interact like bratty children. I'll still stick with Tristan.
As the follow up to The Takeover this book had some big shoes to fill, expectations were high after that stunning five star read. I must say T.L. Swan did not disappoint. The sparks fly off the page between Kate and Elliot, but their road to happiness is paved with boulders, topped with magma rock, and a few flying cows for good measure. The sweet build up to this happy relationship endeared me to the pair and the ultimate test of their relationship BROKE MY HEART right alongside theirs. Watching them learn how to navigate their own lives as well as their newfound feelings toward one another was breathtaking. Heartfelt. Spicy. Dramatic. REAL.
Kate is the IT manager for Miles Media and relishes being snarky with her perceivably unlikable boss Elliot, who gives it back in spades, until something shifts in the air and he is seeing her through new lens. Simultaneously , and in contrast to her interactions with Elliot, Kate has been exchanging emails with Edgar and the banter is refreshing and enlightening. Not to give any spoilers away but the contents of those emails determine how the rest of the story unfolds. Kate's character was admirable, neurotic but resolute , and as unlikely as it seemed ,Elliot was appealing and delightful and so endearing in his pursuit of her when he flubbed the relationship. The addition of the farm animals was a welcome side bar to the story. The book was erotic, entertaining, hilarious and serendipitous and I loved every page of it. TL Swan is a prolific and engaging writer. Thanks to Netgalley and everyone else involved in bringing this ARC to us.
I’m just sorry it had to end ! Giving it the full ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you @netgalley & @tlswan for my advanced reader copy! The Casanova comes out on August 26th! “All those years, all that time . . . it was you." FAVORITE book in the series thus far! I absolutely loved Elliot and Kate's story. Again I was cracking up at different parts throughout; seeing Elliot so out of his element was hilarious! I love the enemies to lovers vibes, and the progression of the story was great. These two have great banter, chemistry, and are just so sweet together. Elliot is a dirty talking sweetheart! I really felt the emotions and the angst and everything! This book made an unexpected turn and I love how it played out. I don't want to give anything away, just simply loved everything about this book 🥰 I could not put this down, and I stayed up WAY past my bedtime to finish it, because I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep if I didn’t finish it. Can't wait to find out what is in store for the final Miles brother!
A Fantastic enemies-to-lover story, perfect for those who believe in faith and soulmates. Eliot Miles, CEO of the London office of Miles Media, is a rude, rich, arrogant, cold womanizer. Or at least that's what Kate, IT manager of the London Miles Media believes. So when Eliot started being nice towards her, Kate doesn't know what to make of him. I absolutely LOVED this book! Eliot and Kate's chemistry was incredible!. Moreover, their relationship was base on so much more than just fiscal attraction. I enjoyed watching Kate and Eliot, as they build their friendship, and I loved their online banter! Frankly, my only complaint is that I wanted to see more of Eliot's new animals - they were just so adorable! I was provided an ARC in exchange for my honest review
4.5 Stars "Elliot Casanova Miles is the great love of my life, and I don't know how it worked out that way, but I honestly don't think I can go on without him. I wouldn't want too." Loved this enemies to lovers office romance from TL Swan. I really enjoyed all the slow burn vibes and the chemistry between these two! Elliot and Kate have orbited (and disliked each other at work for years but all of a sudden a spark ignites between them which they both try to resist. I really loved Elliot as he was a bit more beta than his brothers but still brought all the swoon. And Kate was a great balance for him with her blend of feistiness and vulnerability. The romance really picks up about 30% into the book and had me falling head over heels for these two. I also loved the humor and banter with these two as they tried to pretend that they weren't falling in love. And of course loved the fateful twists that brought these two together. Love me the Miles brothers!
I absolutely love all things TL Swan! I have been waiting for this book since I finished The Takeover and The Stopover, and it was everything I had been hoping for and more! Elliott and Kate were everything! I loved their chemistry and the connection that they were developing! Seeing them go from enemies to lovers was so much fun and I seriously couldn't get enough! There was tons of steam, sweetness and humor here and it was exactly the perfect mix of all of them! Just like everything I have read from Swan, I never wanted this one to end. If you haven't checked out this series yet, you are seriously missing out! The Miles brothers are not to be missed! Can't wait for more! **ARC Provided by NetGalley**
Thank you NetGalley so I could read this book before it was released. Also to Stacy for giving me the heads up!! This is one of my favorite TL Swans series. I loved Both books before and as for this one it was good. I loved Elliot but Kate was very whiny to me. I wish she stood up for herself more. Glad the kids were back in this book. They are hysterical. Can not wait to read Christopher’s book next!
*I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.* Wow. T.L Swan did not disappoint! I was hooked from beginning to end. This was book was steamy, romantic, and funny. Elliot and Kate have worked together for years and can NOT stand each other. The banter between them was hilarious and the tension gave me butterflies. When do Elliot and Kate start to cross the enemy line and become lovers? Well, I don't like to spoil so you need to read this book to find out! But let me tell you the journey is romantic, jaw-dropping, and adorable. The plot is about finding your soul mate and all the ups and downs that come with it. If you love office romance, enemies to lovers, plot twists, and steam read this book!
At first I was like “what happened to the quality?”. Something was just not sucking me in at first like TL Swan’s books normally do! I was very disappointed in the beginning because I had a hard time liking the characters Elliot made me want to punch him and Katheryn sounded like the coworker from hell. If you’re reading this you’ve probably read books 1 + 2 first, so you’ve fallen in love with Jameson and Tristan, Elliot is 9 times more abrasive than those two combined and it was hard for me to care for him because it didn’t seem like he had a redeeming quality. HOWEVER after the first few chapters my heart for Elliot grew 9 times it’s size, you really just have to get over the hump and then it’s so easy to care for these characters. You know how some romance novels get annoying because they seem to keep arguing about the same thing and you’re like “okay get past it alreaaaady”, this book didn’t do that and I appreciated it so much
Another great read by T.L. Swan. She gives Alpha males the best heroines and it's always a great book to watch an Alpha loose his mind when he falls in love. Elliot and Kate have so much heat between them and their back and forth fights make the flames even hotter. The only problem I found with this book is it was so good, I couldn't put it down and that made it over far too fast! I can't wait to read it again and again just like the rest of her books!
The Casanova was another excellent addition to this series and the TL Swan collection! Kate is head of IT for Miles media and for years has had a hate relationship with her boss Elliot. Elliot feels the exact same way until one day he catches Kate in a sport uniform and suddenly views her in a different light. After some awkward back and forth with barbs and vulnerability by both they eventually agree to a friend's with benefits relationship but even from the first encounter there's far too much to just label it something so superficial. Add in a mystery painter, anonymous dating app messages and some feral ducks and this book will make you laugh while feeling all the angst TL writes so beautifully. Miles felt like a breath of fresh air for alpha heroes in general, having a vulnerable and romantic side deep beneath that hard exterior. Kate is stubborn and still grieving the loss of her parents while deciding to live again. But she knows how to soothe the beast in Elliot whenever he appears. I definitely empathize with her frustrations and the journey she took throughout the novel. There of course is a high steamy level and witty banter knocking this book out of the park. I would definitely buy and reread this book!
- I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review - The third book of the Miles High series didn't disappoint. I laughed a lot and had a fun time reading it. Since the second book of the series, The Takeover, ended with a teasing introduction of Elliot, the casanova with a heart beating for art, I was truly intrigued how his story would go. Although I enjoyed reading it, I cannot give five stars because, for me, it's not at the same level as the Stopover and the Takeover. I missed the character development that could be seen in the first two books. Would recommend it for anyone who is looking for a light read that brings a smile to your face.
Elliot and Kathryn carried "The Casanova" in a way that made this book the best in the series (in my humble opinion). The last 25% are PERFECT, including a plot twist that made me both love and hate Elliot. Kathryn is my favorite kind of female lead. She is bold, determined and doesn't allow anyone to take advantage of the love she is willing to give. When I thought this HEA was too unbelievable, the ending gave me everything I want in the ending of such a novel. The banter, the chemistry, the drama made this story binge-worthy (all the books in this series are TBH).
I was actually excited about this book because the heroine sounded fabulous and she was was! She was clever and funny and sassy and didn't take anything from anyone especially the hero... for about 150 pages, then she became an spineless giggling mess doormat heroine like every heroine in this series. I was so upset. I wanted my bada** Kate back! For the rest of the book she didn't acted like herself and that made me super upset. After that this book hit 50% I was done but I kept going because I refused Kate was going to remain spineless but I was proven wrong. Now, I thought the hero was trash at first, but then he went and outdid himself and became a dumpster. This guy is a jerk with zero redeemable qualities (there was really no growth in this book tbh). I kept thinking how cab this person be related to Christopher and Tristan? Smh. Anyway, I really really really wanted to liked this book and I did for 30% of it but choices were made and I didn't agree with those choices and here we are. *Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review*
"The Casanova" is a romance in which our hero is the boss in a company where our heroine also stars. Naturally, they hate each other. Naturally, well, that changes. So far, it's pretty much what you'd expect of this sort of set up. That said, "The Casanova" (poorly titled, by the way; it is too generic to describe the plot or characters well) gets most of its charm from humorous diversions into the hero's acquisition of a farm and its animal residents. Their story was what really made the book sparkle.
I absolutely love the Miles brothers and Elliot stole my heart. I love how each brother brings something amazing to their story, and our leading lady Kate was fantastic. I must read if you are a enemies to lovers fan and of course the angst..... "chiefs kiss"
The C by T.L. Swan is the third instalment in this serial. Kate has had a bad day, her boss isn't the nicest, but her new pen pal seems to be a good one. And now the Hero shows, Elliot Miles, her hmm sorry not sorry no spoilers here. Only so much, this is a romance novel of its finest with everything I love in a great lovestory, drama, action, danger, fast paced, packed with characters you can easily connect with. 4,5 stars.
The Casanova has certainly lived up to my expectations for a TL Swan book! This book has something for everyone..it has characters you will fall in love with, it has all the humor and the wittiness we have come to expect, but it also has all the anguish we know we will experience as we follow along on Elliot's and Kate's journey. The Mr. series has been a rollercoaster ride and I can not wait for the next ride!
4.5 fated stars! This is my first book by TL Swan but it won't be my last. I am going to be reading the first two of the series now, I already downloaded book one! Kate and Elliot are enemies. she's the annoying computer geek that thinks she knows everything and he is the ahole alpha boss that can't stand someone thinking they are smarter than him. For seven years they fight and look at each other with disdain, until one night Elliot sees Kate on the security cameras and can't stop watching. He's crazy to have these feelings about someone he hates, right? Kate can't stand Elliot Miles. He is arrogant, cold and a player. All the things that she can't stand (and let's face it, if you know me, I can't stand those things either). One night while drunk, she creates a fake dating profile and oddly enough, connects to someone with an obviously fake profile too. They start an online friendship and soon Kate realizes that it's her surly boss on the other end, and he is oddly sweet and romantic and has a bigger heart than she could have ever imagined. This book is LONG, but I also read it in one sitting so that should tell you something right there. I wasn't ready to let go of these characters long enough to put the book down. Kate and Elliot wormed their way right into my heart. There were aspects of the book I thought were a little odd, and things I would have loved to happen differently, and times that I was mad at both of them, but in the end as mad as I was with a certain character's actions, I would have done the same thing. If you believe in fate, soul mates and that things happen for a reason, you will love this one. I know I did. I couldn't wait to figure out the twists so I could get to the HEA. Thank you to TL Swan, Netgalley and Amazon Publishing UK for an early copy.
I love the Miles brothers. My favourite is still Tristan, and I didn't expect to like Elliot so much but I loved this story and all its twists and turns. The story follows Elliot, and his coworker Kate. They start off hating each other and develop a relationship that is sweet and steamy and really beautiful. I confess that I kind of foresaw some of the 3rd act issues, but it was still quite an interesting twist to the story and made it come full circle for me. I am really looking forward to reading about Christopher, the remaining brother.
Kathryn is an independent woman and has been for many years. But a new roommate sparks some sparks into her dull life and someone quickly takes notice of her slight changes. Elliot is apart of Miles Media and in charge of the London office. he also has a penchant for art and fancies he will one day get his happy ever after. However, things quickly change as his arch nemesis becomes interesting- maybe even an obsession... But is it too good to be true or is grass greener on the other side? I absolutely loved this installment! It was an easy read that sucked me in and made my heart stop in anticipation. There were times I swooned and others I wanted to cry! I would rate this a 5 out of 5! Hot, hot hot! Jalapeño hot! Netgalley provided this ARC for a fair and honest review.

Another book in the TL SWAN bookiverse that I absolutely adored with my whole heart and soul....Eliot ...oh my...Eliot... Elliot Miles, a Billionaire and a danger to women's hearts...men respects and envy him, every women falls at his feet BUT a huge exception is Kathryn... Kathryn's life is pretty mundane but her highlight is annoying her boss. They both hate eachother's guts but one glimpse of Kate dancing has Elliot changed his whole mindset. He starts seeing her in a new light and thats where begin their twisted love story. After reading this book, let me just clear this up that no one writes enemies to lovers as entertaining as TL SWAN... there was animosity, hatred but man... there was some connection and hots too.... they repel eachother yet their hearts attracts inevitably. The secondary characters were so intriguing too and added charms to the overall story..Daniel😍...Other members of the Miles club also made an entry here and I was all fangirling for Tristan😋🔥...this book had a 10+ stars from me for all the laugh out moments, Kate and Elliot sure made a great pair. And the hot scenes...wowzah! Definitely recommending this book...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😏...its hilarious, very entertaining and some of the best plot twist I ever read.
Ugh yes, I love the Miles brothers! The Casanova was just perfection! I have been so excited for Elliot's book and I was not disappointed. This was an enemies to lovers but also had some soul mate/meant to be elements! Elliot is definitely a grump and he kind of stays that way, but Kate knows how to handle him and they are just perfect together. You get to see a lot of the other Miles brothers too, which I adored. If you loved the first two Miles brothers books, you will love this one too!!!
I was so excited to read The Casanova early, I am obsessed with this series! I didn’t think anyone would match my love for Tristan but man, Elliot may have just done it. This book was everything I wanted and more! It was funny, great banter, sexy and just all around fantastic! You get enemies to lovers, office romance, a sexy alpha and an heroine that stands strong and holds her own. Kathryn and Elliot had a mutual hate for one another yet she was never intimidated by Elliot, she would give as much as she got. Elliot has a reputation as a playboy - the media has labeled him Casanova. He doesn’t “date” in the public eye and it still looking for the one to come along. One night he starts to see Kate in a different light and they both figure they will give it a go and both get a mutual satisfaction out of it. The chemistry between these two was hot! The banter was perfect and the appearance with the Miles family/brothers was laugh out loud good! I loved the ride I was taken on during this story and 100% would recommend. 5 star read for sure! Thank you so much NetGalley for the ARC.
I have always loved T L Swan and this book definitely lived up to my expectations! I loved the characters and the spicy scenes were so good. I can’t wait to read more of her work!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review. #TheCasanova #NetGalley. 3,5 🌟 It was my 1st beach read for this summer🏖️ and it was a nice surprise. I loved the fact that I laughed so much, to be honest I didn't expect it!! Casanova is a well written romantic sweet reading with a sexy alpha and a lot of steamy scenes!
This is book three in The Miles High Club Series and it is Eliot and Kate's story and omg I laughed and I cried and this book is a must read. Eliot runs Miles Media and the biggest game of his life is Kathryn who is there IT designer and she is good at her job but she is also a witch that makes his life and job more difficult every single day. Kate has worked for Miles Media for seven years and she enjoys her job all except for Eliot Miles who is her boss and even though he is handsome and can have any woman that he wants but Kate can't stand him and they are constantly at each other's throats as he is a arrogant and rude man after all she should know. When Eliot and Kate start spending time together the closer and stronger there bond became but what happens next will change everything for them and leave them floundering. I absolutely loved this book and I laughed so much at the animals in Eliot's new house as they were real rebels that had you wishing that you were there seeing everything that happens and there were some emotional situations that I couldn't help but Dr at as you felt like you were there going through everything yourself. This story was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to read the next book. T. L. Swan is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and on the edge of their seats wondering what else would happen. I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed as her books are definitely worth reading. I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this Amazing and Emotional Book.
Now that’s a sexy romance book and one of the best ones I’ve read in the last few years. Plenty of humor, plenty of sizzle. There were a few moments where I felt like I was on a roller coaster with their back and forth, on/off relationship it worked in the end. I knew the artist angle would work out exactly as it did but that worked for me. I haven’t read the previous books in the series but you don’t need to in order to enjoy Elliott and Kate, Pinkie and Ed. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.
I was in a book funk. I wanted a change of pace and I loved book 2. I forgot how much I loved this authors writing style. I enjoyed this so much. I adored “Kathryn” the mean IT director. She gave him as good or more. She always won those arguments. I laughed so much throughout this book. I enjoyed the family dynamics on both sides. I wished the book didn’t always focus on the brothers and not their wives. I wanted to peek into their happy marriages. I can’t wait until Christopher’s book. I have to go back and read a few more of her books. I highly recommend this book
A decent read. Elliot took a while to take seriously; starting with this PoV was less interesting than Kate's. I didn't feel as hooked as I usually am when it starts with the guy. Overall there were a lot of LOL maments and the romance was swoony. A note on the ARC: It bothered me/my eyes that Elliot's POV was always bolded in the ebook version. It seemed an odd stylistic choice but might have contributed to being less invested in Elliot - I just wanted the bold face to stop.
This was my first T.L. Swan novel (and I am aware that this one is like the third book in the series), but I can definitely say it will not be my last. There are so many pieces of this book that I loved. First, I absolutely adore Kate; she is hilarious and really takes no BS from Elliot, which makes for some amazing banter between the two. I love that part of the book we get to see Elliot and Kate and how their relationship is built and progresses throughout the novel, but also that we get to see Pinkie and Edgar and how they open up to each other through their messages. I thought that this was a really creative and funny way to see the characters interact, and let me tell you, I was not expecting to actually laugh out loud while reading this book, but I did so multiple times! And what would a romance book be without some groveling? This delivers. The letters, the art, the ducks, and do not even get me started on the goat. I want my very own Elliot please and thank you! I am so happy I was able to get my hands on this book, I could not put it down.
The blurb is good for this book however the story is not good at all. It’s boring and when you have two strong willed people going against each other it’s really hard to relate to either character. We get to see spots of softness in their characters but over all it is a lot of what’s going on with them and not a lot of conversation between them. What is wallball? Never heard of it and why would you want to wear a dress while playing? There are some formatting issues when they text back and forth, I had no idea who was texting who. Super confused. In the preface, there is a sentence that doesn’t make any sense, “Fine, see you at our Tuesday week.” What? I need something I can relate to, something that will pull me into their lives and make me want to keep reading to see how this push and pull between them turns out. There was nothing I could relate to, nothing that tugged on my heart and made me want to be invested in this story or these characters. I just kept reading waiting for more insults and for her to walk away again and again.
In The Casanova, the 3rd book in T L Swan’s Miles High Club series, readers finally get to witness the romantic fall of Elliot Miles, the CEO of the London branch of Miles Media. Elliot knows three things for certain: he likes to keep his private life private, the fated love of his life is an artist and she’s out there waiting, and he absolutely can’t stand Kate, his head of IT. Well, at least Elliot thought he knew those three things. When things click into place for him and Kate, suddenly the years of fighting turn into weeks of pleasure neither one of them ever imagined. But just as Kate realizes she’s given her heart to Elliot, a commonality from both their pasts throws a wrench into their relationship. Now both Elliot and Kate will have to decide if their love is worth throwing away everything they thought they knew about relationships, or if they were fated to fail from the start. I love T L Swan - her writing is always scorching hot, featuring tall, dark, and broody men that we can’t help but fall for. The Casanova is the third book in the Miles High Club series, but each book follows a different Miles brother and the series can be read out of order or as a standalone. There are minor references to the previous two brothers’ books/relationships, but nothing that impacts the story. I personally think that The Casanova is one of Swan’s best books. The leading man is sort of a perfect package in terms of fantasy heterosexual book men: he’s tall, dark, handsome, knows how to take charge, knows how to please a woman, and has a soft spot for the arts and romance. Having read several other T L Swan romances, I think Elliot is my favorite and most swoon-worthy by far. I also loved Kate and the leading lady. She was headstrong professionally but vulnerable in her private life; I think a lot of women can see themselves in someone like Kate. Swan definitely included quite a few ups and downs for this couple and it kept me turning the page, needing to see them find their happily ever after. I loved both Elliot and Kate as individual characters, but I also loved who they were when they were together. The Casanova just checked all the boxes for me in terms of contemporary romance.
Out of the three books in this series, this was definitely my least fave. The writing was sloppy. It was just a bunch of scenes strung together. There's barely any plot at all. The characters are very fun in the beginning when they banter all the time, but as soon as they're attracted to each other those personalities fly out the window. So stupid. The little plottwist at the end was very romantic. I'm giving this book 2 stars.
Actual - 4.5 This has been my favourite instalment of this series to date. You have an office romance that’s enemies to lovers, a strong and relatable female character in Kate, and a male character in Elliot that makes you angry and want to swoon over. It was filled with hilarious banter, steamy scenes, hungry farm animals, a hopeless romantic, and lots of twists. I fell in and out of love with Elliot along with Kate, and enjoyed the journey to get to the end. Excited for Christopher’s book, and love that more and more cameos happen the further into her world you go.
A perfect choice for all those who would like to read a book with a captivating storyline, amazing characters, and a great love story, intertwined with incredible sexual chemistry and uncensored banter to the very end, I would recommend "The Casanova" by T.L Swan, the third installation in the Miles High Club. A truly emotional journey that will lead you from LOL moments in one moment to a lump in your throat the next, this book checks all the boxes for me. The story of Kate and Elliot - two enemies, two strong characters, who are strong on the outside and so fragile and gentle at the same side ... They looked at each other, once, twice .... Maybe they have been watching each other for an eternity, but they did not actually see one another... But one unplanned moment is enough to change the perspective, one moment that offers new horizons, unexplored emotions and belonging, the birth of uncontrolled passion, and a relationship that has an expiry date before it begins .... As the end approaches, the fear of losing something that should never have existed increases, the need to hold and cherish is too great, yet life brings delivers the ultimate curveball... But the laws of love are difficult to understand and follow, and destiny sometimes creates intertwined paths that no matter how hard we try we can not change ..... What does the future hold? What will happen when the hidden truths are revealed by secrets that neither of us even dreams of? This author knows how to write stories that will delight me. Instead of looking for metaphors to describe things, she uses simple and precise words to describe situations, places, and characters. Instead of using an extremely subjective and modern way of experiencing events from the point of view of one character, she tries and succeeds in penetrating the subconscious of several characters, both main and less important. The main character Kate warmed my heart. An ambitious young lady who has many dreams in life, hidden behind the pain that tears her heart apart. She lives, steps slowly, for the world small actions, but mean everything to her. At times you think that you are Kate because of the real creation, which does not leave much to the imagination, and yet abounds with it. Such storytelling brings us back to reality in which the same thing can happen to you at any moment. The author leads you to the story in a great way and makes you feel every emotion, every fear, and joy. Eliot on the other hand is a character you simply have to love. A cruel and strong businessman, a man who lives his life the way he wants, and deeply hides vulnerability and romantic nature, which simply surprises us. Although at the beginning he deceives us with its undisguised indomitability, as we turn the pages, more and more we discover the depth of this amazing character who is simply looking for his piece of happiness. And as much as we do not want to, we understand and forgive his infamous choice. And his actions after the choice are so swoon-worthy. He is a perfect book boyfriend, right? Well, I have to say after Tristan, everyone else is just a faint copy of a perfect man for me. Eliot is everything, but he is not Tristan. The pace that is imposed in the novel itself is perfect. This is what makes you not leave the book until you get to the last page. There are no unnecessary details - everything is in its place and where it should be. Although the book is written from the perspectives of the two main characters, the author still manages to impose a note of secrecy, which hides many important details throughout the story. The outcome of this book will open new horizons for you about what true chemistry is, what love is and what it is like to have something, then to lose it. The end will surprise you and after the last sentence, you will want to continue. You will witness how T.L Swan seamlessly connects things, events, and personalities that seem incompatible after all these events. In short, the novel is great to read - and the end will be completely unexpected and so sweet!
I requested to read and review this book for free from Montlake and Amazon. This book has drama, romance, mystery, suspense. This book center around office interactions, mystery painter. Can love happen in the best 0r worst case scenario. Can romance be honest and real? Can a CEO find the answers that he wants to hear or can it be real? Infatications is it a real thing? Does it make it the for the best 0r the worst? This book is for a mature read but can be read anywhere!
Kate and Elliot are combustible, with each hating the other for the past seven years. Elliot is the CEO of the British branch of his family's business, Miles Media. From the day Kate started working there in the IT section, they have been at odds with each other. It was rather funny the way they actually spit fire at each other. Until Elliot sees Kate in a workout outfit, and sees the sexy, carefree person under dowdy, hateful woman he sees at work. Along the way, they both end up posting on a dating site, with outrageous answers to the questions and somehow find each other, and like each other. I loved the way the story developed, especially since there were two point of views so I knew what both were thinking. Both grew in different ways as the relationship developed, and there were times when it was hilarious, and times when it was very sad, but the ending was very satisfactory. I received an eARC of The Casanova from Amazon Publishing UK and NetGalley; this is my honest review.
The Casanova is the third book in The Miles High Club series and here we have the story of Elliot who is the CEO of the London office and Kate who works in the computer industry. I should start by saying that whenever I take this author 's books to read I know I 'll have a good laugh as I read , and in this book it wasn't different. Elliot and Kate at first hate each other, he is an idiot towards her and she responds in kind. Their hit and return is fun even if a little unreal since we agree that only in a book for an employee to hit her boss like that. At the same time they hate each other personally, they both start corresponding through an app under false names and end up creating a nice friendship where they leave their vulnerable side on display, especially in Elliot's case. His relationship ends up changing after two events that occur in the book, and we see them giving in to their attraction to each other and that was my favorite moment in the book, seeing them gradually falling in love with each other. Kate it was even my favorite character, the loss of her parents was difficult for her, and I think her relationship with Elliot made her open up again for her feelings, while knowing how to assert herself when necessary. Elliot was a good character too and it was interesting to see that he was a romantic to the heart, some of his decisions in his relationship with Kate pissed me off and at the end of the book one in particular made me want to hit him in the face. The book also shows the relationship between the four Miles brothers, and I must say that when they got together it was for sure laughter. It was fun to see the dynamic and camaraderie between them. One particular scene in this book, of Elliot in his new house, made me laugh. As I've commented in other reviews, the layout of this book is a bit tiring and I don't understand why his point is in bold, I always end up taking a little time to adjust my eyes when I jumped from one to the other. Like her other books, here the author brings a light, fun, romantic story that captured my attention from the beginning.
Will extraordinary be what they are truly looking for … I don’t do much contemporary romances, I even saw the first two going out, I was caught by the cover, read the blurb. And it was the same with this one, but this time, it clicked right. And what a read it is, I could not put it down until I reached the last page. First nothing is rushed, everything is developed at its right pace, and it is so layered, a multi level read. She brings to life flesh and blood flawed 3D characters, who love, hate, smile, cry and make mistakes. At one time, I wondered how would there be a Happily Ever After when things got screwed so much. Elliot is no sweet boy, he does not play for game, only for win. He can do sweet talking but he has a dirty mind. Yet he is also very private and shares nothing of himself. Burned by his family’s fame, he flees the spotlights as much as possible. He also has more than a temper, he burns hot and jumps at people throat. If pushed, he does not back down but attack. He snaps and bites, in life and in bed. And while he is free with his body, he is not with his affection, as behind all those growling and rough sensuality, there is a romantic soul, one who awaits its calling. He wants extraordinary, and won’t settle for less. Kate has forgotten how to live after the tragic accident that stole her parents. In some way, she locked herself inside her mind and since follows the flow, avoiding any deeper entanglement. For seven years, she had had spiteful relationship with her boss, he is mean, she retaliates at the same level. In a sense he kept her grounded in her shoes. Until one day he looks at her differently as if he sees her, truly her not his IT manager. But how can he when he thinks her infuriating. I loved watching them going forward then stepping back, launching at each other, then making up, to explore when this between them could lead them. And while the chemistry and sex are off the charts, their affair struggle with the rule they and most particularly he has set from the beginning as never he thought he would want more than a few nights of sweating between the sheets and she is at loss between his two personas, the millions making boss and the sweet sexy dirty talker. Of course, when things look good, it is normal at some point they go spiraling down, I just did not know how they could recover from such a blow. It is there the author caught me, never rushing things up, offering them to sort thing out and heal. A big fat 5 stars. 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 hot hot hot I have been granted an advance copy by the publisher Montlake, here is my true and unbiased opinion.
I only found T L Swan a month ago and have since read every single one of her books, every time I say that one was my favourite, I was so excited to read this as had just finished the two previous ones in the Miles family series. Elliott is moody, works hard and plays hard, one of his staff Karhyrn hates him and they rub each other up the wrong way. Then sparks appear between them and they both try to fight what is happening between them, it was never going to be easy and there are numerous hurdles. But Kate sees the real Elliot and by the end I was an emotional wreck!!!
What an absolutely fun book to read! Lol, This enemies to lovers’ book are one of the best I have read in a long time. This love story has great characters, a loyal family, plot twists I didn’t see coming, fierce best friends, farm animals, chemistry galore, and comic banter that will have you in hysterics. I could not put it down. I read straight through in one sitting. Elliot and Kate work together at Miles Media, London office. From the first meeting, they absolutely cannot stand each other. One snarky comment after another, they are downright confrontational to each other no matter what the issue. Blinded by the tension between them, they don’t realize just how alike they really are. They’ve been around each other for years without knowing much about the other. He’s known as Casanova Miles and she is an IT nerd. But as fate would have it, one instant, one leap of faith can change the narrative. I love the journey Elliot and Kate take to find their happily ever after. Each must grow and overcome the issues holding them back from love. This is not an easy ride for these two and you’ll need wine, tissues, and a sense of humor because as you are crying with one paragraph, wanting to punch a character in another, you’ll end up laughing with the next! Highly recommend and I believe I’ll go back and read the other two, those two characters piqued my interest.
The Casanova exceeded my expectations with an enemies to lovers romance with the perfect amount of spice. If I thought the other two were perfect, this one was even more so.
After not liking The Stopover much I was a little weary about going in to this one. However, I am so happy to say that I was so pleasantly surprised. Elliot and Kate gave me everything I wanted from The Stopover. Kate and Elliot have worked together for 7 years and have a pretty antagonistic relationship. Elliot can be a huge jerk as the CEO and Kate gives him back all the snark. However, Elliot become infatuated with her after accidentally catching her dancing in the office on the cameras. After that, Elliot is infatuated with Kate and they start an exclusive friends with benefits relationship. Things go from there with some steamy sexy times, some sweet moments and definitely some points I thought things might never work out. While Elliot was a bit of an ass, we do get to see his sweet side which I really loved. Kate was strong and definitely stood up to Elliot and held her ground when she needed to. I thought Elliot was unredeemable for his actions towards the end but I did think that his groveling was worthy of forgiveness and I loved the little twist added at the end. The ending was refreshing IMO and something I've rarely seen in romance books. Usually It felt a bit long but I didn't mind in the end because this story was so ultimately really sweet. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. I got angry. What more can I ask for. Also, goats. That all.
This is the first book I’ve read by T. L. Swan and I enjoyed reading about the romance between Kate/Pinkie and Elliot/Edgar. With a mixture of steamy sex scenes, swoon-worthy men, drama, and humor, <i>The Cassanova</i> tells a tale of an attraction that takes Kate and Elliot on a bumpy ride with lots of ups and downs in their relationship. At times it didn’t seem like things would ever work out for the two of them. Interspersed with all the drama, there are laugh-out-loud tales about attacking ducks, a horny goat, and the ram from hell! Kate starts out strong and ends up as a strong character, but she has problems in the middle. Elliot is a bit of a jerk who redeems himself towards the end. Despite it all, they manage to find their HEA together.
With this being the third installment in this series I was hoping I would have a problem following the characters. I am happy to say I didn't. Here we have Elliott Miles or Mr Casanova as the tabloids like to call him. A handsome man in his thirties running a media company along with his brothers. From the beginning you know Mr. Miles is a very self absorbed, confident and hard working man who has an employee Kathryn Landon. You see the love hate relationship they have or is it? Kate as her friends call her is a very intelligent IT tech who loves to go head to head with Mr. Miles. Except the real Kate is hiding another part of herself that she doesn't like to reveal to everyone. Then there is Daniel her flat mate who is a stylist who gives Kate a total makeover and transforms the straight laced Kathryn Landon to the fun loving, relaxed, and beautiful Kate. Elliott notices this Kate and from there their love hate relationship turns into a casual friends with benefits. Or is it:? T L Swan writes a story of two totally different people who want to have a very casual relationship with no strings attached.Elliott introduces Kate to a whole new world of wealth, glamour and secrets. Like who is Pinky and Edgar? Kate wonders is this casual relationship with Mr. Casanova just casual or does she want more? Is this just a physical thing with them? Or can Kate tame this wild man? Who is this famous artist that Elliott is obsessed with? There are many questions to be answered and I needed to find these answers. That's why I read this book in one day. Plus the ending did surprise me. Loved the characters, plot wasn't to predictable. Thank you Ms. Swan for a very hot and steamy novel. Thanks to Amazon UK and Net Galley for the advanced copy. Would like to read the first two in the series and would recommend it to others.
I wasn't expecting to laugh as much as I did while reading this one so the fact that it gave me a case of the giggles is a delight! I enjoyed this romantic comedy and was quite surprised to see how deep these characters got. It gave me all the feels to be honest! My only complaint (and this is just a personal preference) is that the book is a little long. I prefer a book that's a little shorter. Other than that, I recommend this one wholeheartedly. I can't wait to read more!
did this book have a lot of plot? no. did it need it? not at all. It's a very steamy book that I throughly enjoyed and would definitely read again.
Elliot “The Casanova” Miles can never be tamed and Kathryn Landon doesn’t want to anyway - right? It’s book 3 in the Miles High Club series but can easily be read as a standalone. I expected a steamy haters to lovers romance and that’s exactly what this is. Shout out to Kathryn Landon as a strong lead heroine - with the best snarky emails I’ve ever read! I felt like it lost its pace in the middle section but picked up again by the end and I loved the unexpected incorporation of the riotous barnyard animals - who doesn’t love a sexy billionaire who flees from a band of ducks? I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a light, easy and saucy summer read. Huge thanks to the author, T L Swan, and publisher for this advance review copy. Views my own. 4*
Ugh! I wish someone would tell this author that a story is not a collection of scenes copied and pasted together. This was so choppy. I could never tell where one scene ended and another began. There were no transitions. I love when they guy is a bossy ahole and the woman stands up to him. But this? I'm sorry. No self respecting woman would do take a man back after what Elliot pulled. I was really looking forward to this story but now I'm just disappointed.
I loved this enemies to lovers romance. Once this story got going I was all in. The sizzling chemistry between these two and their behavior had me laughing and fanning myself. I couldn’t think of a more perfect match and I did not want to put this down. Now I want to go back and read the others in this series and look forward to more from this author. I highly recommend.
A traditional enemies to lovers stories with lots of twists and brilliantly told. There relationship between Kate and Elliot is unusual and sarcastic and funny and this sets the tone for the book. There are some laugh out loud parts - most involving a goat - as well as some really tender moments as our couple work out what it is that they mean to each other, the book builds to an unusual and emotionally satisfying ending and stays on the right side of a saccharine ending through humour and exploring the feelings of Elliot and Kate rather than rushing to fit in a HEA.
This book was absolutely amazing! Between the enemies to lovers, the various plot twists.....this book is the entire package. You get romance, steam, lol moments, plus the ending is amazing!
What a wonderful book! The Casanova was captivating from beginning to end. This enemies-to-lovers contemporary romance had it all. T.L. Swan created characters who were wonderful, flawed, and totally relatable. Elliot and Kate had me rooting for them from the start. Told in dual-point-of-view, they seemed to come to life as I read, invading my head and my emotions. I felt like I was right there, eavesdropping on their lives, and I loved every minute of it! The emotions were rolling off the pages...anger, joy, sadness, love, steamy encounters that will have you turning the A/C on...they were all so powerful, I truly felt for these two crazy, wonderful characters. There were so many laugh-out-loud moments sprinkled in, there was no way you could not enjoy this book....Chapter 16...just saying. There were also emotionally gut-wrenching moments that brought tears to my eyes. Beautifully written, completely satisfying, with a twist I didn't see coming at the end, The Casanova is an all-around heart-warming read that made me smile, swoon, and sigh with delight. What more can one want? Don't miss it!
Pretty good romance read. It hit all the usual notes, delivered in the sexy scenes, and had a really, really likeable fmc. I didn't really love the "hero" of the novel, ultimately his decision toward the end seemed selfish and completely relationship wrecking to me, but it was well written.
Love, love, love! Elliot might just be my favorite Miles brother. I had all the feels. I laughed (out loud multiple times), I sighed, I got angry at stupidity and I cried sad and happy tears. It was a rollercoaster of emotions and I loved every second of it!
The Casanova by T.L. Swan was my first book by this author, and frankly, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. I'm going with a low 3 star rating. The writing style itself was fine, even if there were grammatical errors that could (should?) have really bothered me. I initially enjoyed both Kate and Elliot as characters. Their hate in the beginning was entertaining, and I liked their progression to love. Unexpectedly, I found humor throughout and actually chuckled multiple times. I also loved the interactions between the Miles brothers. They were some of my favorites. HOWEVER, I had plenty of issues with the book. The synopsis really drew me, but the storyline itself flopped a bit. The secret online identities did not play out as I expected, and I personally did not even find them necessary to the story because there was very little purpose overall. The dirty talk initially was cringe-worthy. Thankfully it did improve, but I was seriously worried for a bit. Also, the phrase "thick tongue" was too much for me. I felt like it was overused, and it did not offer great imagery. The book itself felt very long and drawn out. The story went on forever before even arriving at the conflict, and I was not a fan of the conflict or what I thought was other unnecessary drama. The conflict resolution took some time, and while that usually isn't a bad thing, by the time everything was cleared up, I just wanted the book to be over. (Refer back to my issue with the length of the story.) Furthermore, I wasn't completely satisfied with the resolution itself. (Refer back to the drama complaint.) ***I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy generously provided by the publisher via NetGalley.***
I'm in love with the Miles High series and each book I fall more and more in love with the characters. Elliot's story was perfect this book had it all. Romance .. check, Laugh Out Loud moments .. check, Steam .. check check CHECK! I can't get enough of the Miles brothers and I'm so looking forward to the net story. Man ... this is going to be one heck of a book hangover!!
Problematic treatment of a bisexual character. FMC asks bisexual character “how does it feel to be sexual with somebody that isn’t your natural inclination?” Um excuse me, what? He calls pussies “hideous mounds” and “that hairy thing between your legs”. I received a copy via NetGalley and this is my own opinion.
Oh my goodness, this was such a great book. The chemistry between Kathryn and Elliot was off the charts. I loved their relationship- yes even when they were mad at each other. And the story line was interesting enough to hold my attention, that I had to finish it in a day.
These Miles brothers are simply some of the most stubborn and sexiest man in romance books to date. Seriously I am pretty sure no one is as resistant to falling love as they are. But when they fall the crash hard and with all the drama. The Casanova is everything I love in Romance a romance novel. While not always a fan of Enemies to lovers, Elliot was the perfect bossy, possessive, alphahole of heroes. I love that Kate is the heroine who doesn't back down and even makes him grovel. I really loved the characters in this book. Elliot has the heart and temperament of an artist. His feelings are big. While they don’t always land perfectly. Elliot Miles is perfection. He's the CEO of the London branch of Miles Media. Kathryn is the IT Team Manager at the same company. They loathe each other. They way the fight and swipe at each other is what you want from an enemies to lovers romance. The steller banter between just charges the sexual tension. This is a refreshing co-workers romance, never is the “I am the boss, she is the employee” trope come into play. Suddenly, Kathryn becomes something more to Elliot. Something he is not prepared for, but she quickly holds him to task for it. The road for these to an HEA is not an easy one and when I tell you there are more than a few kindle throwing moments take warning and don’t throw it! This was a fun, banter- and feeling-filled, sexy and steamy read. These chracters pull you in and you will be obsessing about it. There are a few moments of drag as these two find their footing. It was a lot of back in forth at times, but it is typical of the enemies to lovers trope. For this reading it made those part a little stodgy. It is a pure delight to watch these very successful Miles Brothers fall in love with these astonishing women. "She smiles softly with her eyes closed and falls back to sleep. In the darkness, in her arms, I listen to her heartbeat. And I lose sight of mine."
OH. MY. GOD. If I could give a book 6 starts I FREAKING WOULD!! THIS BOOK WAS IT!! It was everything. It made me angry, happy, sad, and everything in between. I cannot believe how many times I actually laughed out loud while reading. Then...the steam. MY WORD. So. Good. It also happened to be one of the spiciest books I've ever read, and you will hear absolutely zero complaints from me. Elliot sounds so steamy and Kate is a rock star who doesn't take crap from any man! I am upset this book is over. I wanted it to go on for forever. AND I was expecting there was going to be a plot twist but DAMN! It was wild. You guys need to read this book. I had to sneak in some reading at work because I could not put it down. I loved the plot and I cannot believe this was my first T L Swan novel. Looks like I am going to be getting some more of her books soon!! Lord have mercy. You need to read this book like...YESTERDAY.
This book was the typical enemies-to-lovers, alpha male romance story. Though I enjoyed it at times, I just couldn't root for the main character of Elliot. He was rude, had explosive anger issues, and spent most of the book pouting like a child. The ending was a little confusing and it seemed as though the 'villain' was written more as an afterthought and not a flushed out character.
Casanova is a read and a half! Everything you could want in a story. Enemies to lovers. Faked names on dating site. The push and pull of the texts changes how they treat each other at work, even though they don't know it's themselves on the dating site. Kathryn and Elliott are also working enemies. Both Elliott and Kathryn discover depths in themselves and each other, that had been hidden under distrust for decades. Sarcasm, wit, steam. All wrapped up into one very well written, entertaining, witty book. NetGalley kindly provided this copy in exchange for my unpaid, honest review.
I am a huge TL Swan fan and was so excited to receive an early release of The Casanova to review. This book sent the reader back to revisit the Miles brothers although most of the story was based in London and solely focusing on Elliot. The book was well paced and sucked me in instantly. It was full of steam, love, heartbreak, and healing.
What can I say that hasn’t already been said before about this wonderful, funny, entertaining read apart from “I will never look at ducks in the same way again”. The Casanova was a breath of fresh air and if you need a book to escape with, to make you laugh or should I say snout out loud look no further that this amazing read. But be warned do not eat or drink while reading Elliott Miles and Kathryn Landon’s enemies to lovers story. This is book 3 in the Miles High Club and although Tristan Miles is still my favourite in this series, Elliott Miles certainly gave him a run for his money, he came very close to taking over as number one Miles brother. Kate and Elliott come from very different backgrounds but surprisingly they are very much alike, strong characters who know what they want and who take no nonsense from anyone but underneath it all they are just a bit fragile and they both have hearts of gold if only they will open up. It’s going to take a very special person to win their hearts so could it be these enemies are meant for each other. This book ticked all my boxes, I laughed, I giggled and I smiled a lot during this read but I also sighed and held my breath as I found myself hoping and wishing for a HEA for this couple. I was in a bit of a book funk when I picked up The Casanova and it honestly took me out of my funk and gave me back the enjoyment of reading so thank you T.L. Swan. I highly recommend this book to all rom com lovers but it will also appeal to romance lovers in general so please one click this gem, you won’t be disappointed.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kate & Elliot Kate is in IT at the Miles Media London office. She had tragedy in her past that has lead her to live in grief. She is fiesty, fiery and stubborn. Elliot is a hopeless romantic at heart. The press calls him Casanova Miles because he is so swoon worthy and girls fall at his feet basically. Kate and Elliot have worked together for 7 years and have hated each other, until things change and turn around. Their “relationship” is complicated as Elliot doesn’t want one and wants to keep dates out of the press. And Kate is trying everything she can to keep from being broken hearted. As with all TL Swan books, Elliot captivates you and makes you swoon, and Kate is strong and relatable. You think you love one of her men and have a favorite then she’s like nope, here’s a new book! She does not fail in the gut wrenching heartbreak either, this one hit me harder than others because the connection they build is so phenomenal. I didn’t want it to end but couldn’t read it fast enough as well. A•R•C review
5 Star review of The Casanova (The Miles High Club #3) by T.L. Swan I have only read or listened to a couple of books by T.L. Swan but what I have, I loved. In these difficult times, we all need an escape and for me The Casanova was the perfect book for me to escape from reality; my only complaint, the book ended. I fell hard and fast for successful businessman Elliot Miles or as he is also known Casanova Miles. He ticked every box for me, even though there were times that I wanted to smack him across the back of his head. Kate works for Elliot and is often annoyed and frustrated by his obnoxious behaviour but thankfully her new pen friend Edgar helps to keep her sane. I really loved Kate, she has been through so much and there were times that my heart broke for her. As for Elliot, there is so much more to him that he lets shine through and it was heart warming to discover the layers beneath. This is an enemies to lover’s story that will draw you in and keep you invested until the end. The were numerous moments where I found myself laughing out loud and had tears running down my face, my husband thought I had finally cracked. What will happen when secrets are revealed? This was a well written, steamy, witty story that ticked all the boxes for me and is one of my favourite reads of 2021. I received a copy of the book from the publisher through NetGalley.
I was so so excited to receive an early copy of The Casanova!! I was only introduced to T.L. Swan this year and have really enjoyed all 5 books I've read so far. The Casanova just might be my favourite! Although, I think I say that after each one! The Casanova was a quick, fun, romantic story and I loved every page. This is the third book in the Miles High series and features Elliot Miles, of Miles Media and Kathryn Landon, his head of IT. It's enemies to lovers and it's so good. T.L.. Swan has created a beautiful world with the characters in this series. They are strong and flawed and so well developed and presented. I am hooked. We're getting a Christopher book next, right? Please! If you've never read T.L. Swan before you need to get started. If you have you know what I'm talking about.! 5 stars.
Kate Landon and Elliot Miles Hate each other. In fact Elliot has offered to pay Kate to leave his company several times and she stays just to spite him. Elliot is a very sexual man, in fact he has been dubbed "the Casanova" by the press. When he catches one of his employees in her sports costume dancing to music and it turns him on, he is shocked when it is his mortal enemy. When he encounters her looking gorgeous at an event, he decide, that he must have her. Then he stalks her like an animal stalks his prey. Kate has hidden a big part of herself after her parents were killed in a terrible car wreck many years ago. I do love her strength of character and her ability to stand up to Elliot Miles. I did not appreciate her giving in to him time and time and again. I realized that this is supposed to be a love story, but there were just too many red flags for me to get past. He's a controlling stalker. He has temper tantrums. He is secretly looking for the "The one" while he is pursuing Kate. I know I was supposed to love this story, but after personally dealing with guys like Elliot (minus the billions), I realized that the best thing for me was to cry, walk away and never look back.. Thank you to Net Galley for the advanced copy.
This was such a good book for a third installment. I didn’t feel like I was missing anything at all. Kate is an IT specialist manager working for Elliot Miles at Miles Media. They have hated each other for 7 years, yelling, fighting and saying snarky comments every chance they get. One day Miles sees Kate on security video dancing around in her netball dress uniform and feels something more than animosity. They also start messaging each other anonymously which is also hilarious. Where will those feelings take them? This was a wonderful enemies to lovers office romance with its mix of witty, snarky banter and all the 🔥🔥🔥🔥 you want! The wishy washy feelings of together not together for tiresome but the ending was perfection! Join The Miles High Club. I highly recommend it for those who love a steamy read and will be reading more in this series! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for this arc in exchange for an honest review. Staci McIntyre
Overall, I give this one 3.5 stars. It was a quick read with substance. I thought the plot twists were good and I really wasn’t sure how it was going to end. The characters were good, and I liked watching the story between Kate and Elliot unfold. I liked how we knew they were in love before they did.
As always TL Swan killed it with this book! I spent the majority of the book saying, out loud, I just don’t think I like Elliot Miles. I mean the audacity of this guy was unbelievable. I just couldn’t believe some of the things he did, and it caused pure angst in the best possible way. Kate is just fierce and sassy, she definitely doesn’t put up with any of Elliots nonsense. What she did close to the end of the book is just amazing! That takes some bravery. This book consumed my entire day because I was just so drawn into the story, I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it!
Elliott Miles, the dashing debonair CEO of Miles Media UK, could he be any more naughty? Kate is the manager of their IT department, and in all honesty, she may be the only female that hates Elliott, but holy smokes do they make one smoking hot couple. TL Swan writes one of the best alpha hero’s out there, and Elliott Miles fits that description to a “T”. Kate, she is too smart for her own good, these two just can’t stand each other, but they know how push all the buttons. And, a twist I did not see coming! As with all books in her series, I love how characters from all her books find a way to make a cameo in one another. Don’t miss out not he 3rd installment in the Miles High Club series.
Dang, that's a good book. Book one in this series was recommended to me by a goodreads friend awhile ago, and I couldn't have predicted how much I would love it. Then book two was just as good. I was just plain excited to see this third in the Miles High series on netgalley. And I am not surprised by how good it was. Great, even. Elliot is the brother who has 2 sides to him- he's ruthless at work, but secretly craves epic romance. And he has butted heads with Kate at work for years. YEARS, before things start to turn for them. And I like Kate- she really comes out of a funk and finds her strength here. It's an enemies to lovers office romance, and it has tons of steam. The love scenes are passionate and awesome. There's humor throughout the book- for instance, I cracked up when he bought a house and had some surprises. And there's heart. I cried here and there and was swept off my feet. The twist at the end was a big surprise to me, I never saw it coming. This might be the best book I've read in months.
Wow, this book was amazing! I swooned, I smiled, I cried, it was everything in one book. Before I review, I have to say that Elliot Miles was an arse at times, where I wanted to hit him. He had a short fuse, which I didn’t care for, but it’s part of the story. Elliot is the CEO of Miles Media in London. His nickname in the press is Casanova Miles, which I guess fits him with the turnaround of women he dates. There is one woman that he absolutely hates thou, and that happens to be the head of his IT department, Kathryn Landon. This Monday is no exception as she berates him on something or other, he usually tries to ignore her. Kate can’t stand her boss Elliot Miles. He is obstinate, and rude, good thing she always stands up to him. The one way she relieves stress is by playing Netball after work. One evening as Elliot is getting to leave for the day, he sees something bright red in one of the security cameras of the building. Looking closer he sees a woman with a fantastic backside, making copies and dancing while doing so. Who is this woman, and why hasn’t he met her yet. Well that goes down the drain when she turns around and sees Kathryn! Why did it have to be her, except that now he’s intrigued. Elliot is now on the lookout for that tight red dress. Suddenly one night he notices just her feet laying on the floor, running down to her floor he sees Kathryn passed out. Unable to revive her, he sees a bottle of prescription drugs and calls 999, but it seems they want a lot of information before they send anyone out. Eventually Kathryn wakes up a little to answer some questions for the operator. It seems she’s had a bad reaction to the medication. Elliot ends up taking her home, and hopes her flat mates are there to take over, which they aren’t and he stays watching her until Daniel shows up. At this point Elliot starts to see Kathryn in a new light. After running into her at several events, all he can think about is taking her to bed. It seems that really doesn’t hate Kathryn after all. Everything is changing in Kathryn’s life, in a good way. Who would have ever guessed that hot sex with her boss would ever happen! Is this real, or a dream. This was an amazing book! I highly recommend it. It does have some lows and a surprised ending.
Steamy love story that will have you laughing, crying and cheering for your favorite characters. Kate and Elliott have worked together for seven years, spending more time arguing than talking. Elliott is rich arrogant and known as quite a player. Kate is an IT expert that has no time for her player of a boss. But everything changes when Kate gets ready to go work out and Elliott notices the girl before he realizes it is Kate. Will Kate and Elliott have a chance to have a relationship? Will either be able to get past their prior opinion of the other? Super fast read! Could not put it down. Thank you to Netgalley for complimentary copy. Recommended
Thank you, thank you, thank you NetGalley T L Swan for this incredible ARC!! I am still swooning over this book. It was fun, wistful, heartbreaking, and oh so so romantic. It has been quite a while since a book made me actually laugh out loud and cry within the span of pages. At one point, I was so upset I could not see the words through my tears; I LOVED IT! This was the first book by T L Swan I have had the pleasure to read and now all I want to do is drop everything and read every single book she has ever written. Seriously. It’s a wonder I am not doing it right now. Normally I don’t care, but I hate the stigma that “Romance” books get. It’s especially irritating now because T L Swan is such an eloquent writer. Her characters are dynamic and beautifully complex. The plot was solid and kept me on my toes. Just thinking about it now makes me want to re-read it. If it is not obvious, I am trying very hard to not actually talk about anything that happens in this book because there are so many small details, that just one could ruin a part of the story. If you take anything away from this review it’s that you SHOULD GO READ IT NOW!!!!
The banter between Elliot and Kate was entertaining, and I enjoyed their story, but I didn't always like how he treated her. However, every time that I started to hate Elliot, T.L. Swan would always find a way to redeem his character. My favorite parts of their journey were the conversations between Pinkie Leroo and Edgar Moffatt on the dating app. I also loved the ducks, and the ending was absolutely perfect!
I received and ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review My love for the Miles brothers knows no bounds, I thought Jameson was my fave before until I met Elliott. Wow wow wow wow is one thing I said as I finished this book. I also yelled out loud while reading this book many times. I will drop everything to read a TL Swan book and you should too! Elliott and Kate’s story was unexpected for me. I was not expecting Elliott to be the man he was in this book. There are many sides to him that he doesn’t let a lot of people see, just like the other Miles brothers. I also love Kate’s strong will and determination. She doesn’t let the arrogant and egocentric Elliot rattle her as much as you think she does. I love that she stands up for herself even if it breaks her heart a bit! There is a part towards the end of the book you will not see coming! That’s all I have to say about that. It’s amazing! As long as I waited to read this book, I wanted to savor every part of it. But of course I read it in one day. I just couldn’t help myself! Cheers to TL Swan, the Miles brothers will always have my heart as do most of the characters that you write. I cannot wait for Christopher’s story now. I cannot wait to see what you have planned for him!
“There’s no border between us; the separation of the two of us is blurred.” I’m relatively new to T.L. Swan and have only read the books in the Miles High Club. Now after reading my third book by her, I have to say I’m a fan and I need to read more by her. The Casanova and Elliot Miles captured my attention from the first page and didn’t let go until the very end. Kate and Elliot are enemies at work and antagonize one another whenever they get the chance. When Elliot sees Kate in a different light, the dynamics quickly change and the rollercoaster ride begins. “You feel more at home at my home…or maybe it’s me that feels at home when you’re there.” Kate was fiery and independent and outwardly confident, but inside, she was a bit insecure and just wanted someone to love her. Elliot was cocky and self-assured and a bit of a jerk at times. Honestly, near the end, I was so mad at him, but he had to learn to trust his heart. Underneath that gruff exterior, he was a romantic and wanted to take care of those he loved. “In the darkness, in her arms, I listen to her heartbeat. And I lose sight of mine.” The push and pull of Elliot and Kate’s relationship was alternatively fun and heartbreaking and I loved the angst and the humor. Their banter and chemistry was sizzled, but it was the emotion and the intensity that made me fall in love in the story. I laughed, I cried, and my heart was stomped on and then mended. I highly recommend joining the Miles High Club today!!!
Elliot Miles has been named The Casanova but the paparazzi, but as the head of the London office of Miles Media, he is Kate’s boss. Kate in her role as IT manager of Miles Media has despised Elliot since she started working for the company. She finds him arrogant and rude and he, likewise, finds her annoying. Yet when Elliot sees Kate in her sexy red dress, she is not what he thought her to be. When they eventually cross the boundary of boss and employee, Elliott and Kate cannot get enough of each other. Yet their romance seems destined for a rocky time. I found myself hooked from the first page with their intense romance. What took this from a standard hate-love romance, was the dialogue between Kate and her supposed friend via emails. A clever twist to the story, making for a great read. I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
I loved this book from the very beginning of the prologue and knew that this was going to be a really fun read. I laughed, I cried, I cheered, and I jeered. Elliot and Kate don't have a passive-aggressive thing going on, it's all aggressive and sarcasm that will make you laugh out loud. You know it's going to be fun and games, and when the connect - more fun, more games, and lots and lots of steam (and sauna ;op). I had a difficult time putting this book down. Witty banter, playful conversations, hot sex, what's not to love? This is the first book I've read from T.L. Swan, but I know it won't be the last. There's just the right amount of world building, descriptions, and back story. Makes you feel like a fly on the wall, in a good way. While this is book is the third in a series, it can be read as a stand alone. Written in POV style. Now it's time for me to read the first two books in the series :o) **Received an ARC for a voluntary honest review**
The Casanova had everything, including fireworks in and out of the bedroom, and a hero who believes in the one, fate and an extraordinary love. Although he doesn't realise fate, has put his one extraordinary love right under his nose. But oh, what a journey Elliott and Kate go on. As both are characters that have layers, issues and baggage and completely different backgrounds. Yet they also have more in common than either of them know if only they would take a breath and stop sniping and actually have a conversation. And with so much chemistry, banter and brilliant secondary characters this was an enthralling read. That never once felt like it was over 500 pages long. Would happily recommend.
Unfortunately I just couldn’t get into this book I have read other titles by this author and loved them but I don’t know why I just couldn’t connect with the main characters.
CEO Elliot Miles can’t stand his IT guru Kathryn (Kate) Landon and let’s just say the feeling is mutual for her. They’ve spent years torturing each other while trying to work with each other, each encounter more caustic than the previous until one day Elliot sees another side to Kathryn (literally he falls for her beautiful backside) that has him wanting to learn more about her. Kate has always seemed to like Elliot but his rigid personality has her hating his public persona. When she realizes that her dating app pen pal is non other than her infuriating boss what’s she to do? Their relationship has lots of twists and turns with hilarious moments ( yes the duck scene), and super steamy moments that will have you reaching for a fan that make you realize there is more going on than one seems. While initially I must admit I thought I would hate Elliot (and there’s one time when I felt that feeling was justified) there was a softer, yet deeper side that has me cheering for him too. This is a hot and funny contemporary romance roller coaster that is a joy to read. 5 stars. I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review
I loved this book!!! I say that about all of TL Swan's stories, but I really oved how everything came together in the end. It was f#cking awesome! I saw what was coming about half way through the book, but that didn't impact reading the story in the slightest. Swan's approach and telling of Elliot and Kate's story was perfection. Kate was closed off and living a shell of a life until Elliot came along. There was plenty of banter and hate between these two early on. They say that hate and love are closely connected emotions. In their case they certainly were. They were explosive at every stage. Elliot has a hot temper and short fuse. Interestingly enough he is a romantic at heart. And oh what a heart! He cherishes his privacy and dreams of a fated love. He gets just that with Kate. I won't ruin the surprise of the story, but it was epic!!! This is not a story that you want to pass up. It will make even those with a heart of steel sigh and swoon. This was an absolutely perfect book and one of my favorites this year.
TL Swan finally released The Casanova. It’s the third book in the Miles High Club series. This book is about Kathryn “Kate” Landon and Elliot Miles. Kate is an IT specialist and works for Miles Media for years now. She and her boss Elliot came off the wrong feet and they just can’t stand each other. He annoys her so much but she keeps her head up high. But then one day Elliot starts to show interest in her... That’s all I am gonna say because you have to pick up this book!! I have no idea how TL Swan is doing it but THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING! It gave me all the feelings and I never wanted this book to end. I literally couldn’t put it down and read it in like 5 hours because it was that good! The chemistry Kate and Elliot have is off the charts and they are pure fire together! I laughed so much because of their banter they had going on. I just loved everything about them together and I couldn’t get enough of them. The last part of this book broke me. I’ve got so emotional you have no idea! TL Swan wrote another MASTERPIECE and it’s definitely one of my favorite reads of 2021! This story deserves way more than 5 stars! I highly recommend everyone to read this book ASAP!
Although this story is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. Elliot Miles, CEO of the London division of Miles Media, is known for being powerful and popular among extraordinarily beautiful women. Enough where he's earned the nickname: Casanova Miles. It's one of the many reasons Kathryn/Kate Landon, IT manager at the London division of Miles Media, absolutely hates her boss. He's also arrogant, rude, and entitled. For seven years, they've worked together and have barely tolerated each other. Until one day, Elliot sees a different side of Kate and it stirs his body unlike any other woman before. I LOVED this story. I loved the multi-layered storyline, the characters, and everything mixed in. Elliot is a complex character. Beneath the serious and cold surface lies a romantic at heart who believes in love at first sight and fated true love. Kate is equally complex. On the surface, she is reserved and focused on work. Behind the façade is a vulnerable woman who mourns her former self and wants to feel alive again. They slowly peel back each later, sometimes in-person with witty and playful banter that's entertaining, and other times via their honest messages. There's a lot of heat here, and even though it's frequent and super steamy, it doesn't overshadow the building romance or interfere with the juggling storylines. In addition to the romance, this is also a story about friendship, family, and self-discovery. As a bonus, there's even a bit of mystery woven into the tale. The writing flowed naturally and, even though the story is lengthy, the pacing never faltered. Maybe it was watching these two fall in love, or maybe it was their repeated push and pull. Or maybe it was the interesting cast of characters including deranged ducks, a lovesick goat, and a raging ram. Who knows. But this story just worked for me from the fiery beginning to the absolutely enchanting ending. This is definitely a recommended read. /I received an early edition of this book. This did not affect my opinion of the book or content of my review./
The Casanova Miles has stolen my heart! I've been waiting with bated breath for the next Miles High Club book, and Elliot and Kate did not disappoint! I adore TL Swan's writing, and each time I read her work I find another favorite! There are many, many layers to Kate and Elliot's story that kept me awake most of the night devouring this book. This book has EVERYTHING! I laughed out loud, I cried, I yelled at both Elliot and Kate, I held my breath in shock, and I swooned! And how lovely it was to get a bit of a bonus 'where are they now' for Tristan, Jay and their ever-growing families. Download this one immediately!!
Ooohhhhhhhh I mean….well…..just wow. Jameson is adorable in a total a$$wipe way, Tristan is just plain best book boyfriend, But Elliot, well I adored him for a good 80% of this book, then wanted to reach into the pages and strangle him and then he did in the end manage to redeem himself mostly (I do still want to slap him a little though…) and at the very end he made it back into my top 5! This book travels through all the feelings two people can possible have for each other ranging from the extremes of total hatred to absolute adoration and what a journey it is. I loved how strong Kate was and how she didn’t stand for any of the crap that Elliot dealt her. She wanted the relationship on her terms and wasn’t willing to accept anything less than she felt she deserved. I found Elliot as frustrating as his brothers (gosh it’s a good thing they fall for strong women is all I can say!) and yet he clearly had the softer centre, a heart ready to be given to the right person, he just failed to spot real love when it slapped him round the face like a wet fish!! The storyline has everything, total laugh out loud moments (hard surfaces!), steam (coffee…) and ugly cry (artists..) and completions of storylines we followed in the earlier books. Looking forward to the fall of Christopher Miles, I have a feeling it’s going to be epic. A fantastic series written by an amazing author, she’s yet to miss one for me.
Daaammmmnnn .. T L Swan does it again…swoon!! Elliott Miles is here ladies and gents. And he does not disappoint. He’s the perfect cross between his two eldest brothers who we’ve already met. He has Jameson’s dark moods mixed with Tristan’s sweet side. But he’s a little rougher round the edges, a little dirtier in the bedroom and a whole lot of trouble awaits him and the woman he’s fated to be with. As in the previous books Elliott is still searching for the elusive artist Harriet Boucher who he feels a strong connection to. And while his search continues, he’s thrown into the path of his work enemy Kathryn Landon. The story that follows is highly entertaining, hilariously funny and heartbreakingly real. I loved the way their relationship developed. I love the two sides of Elliott’s personality. I loved the ducks. The goat(s) and the soul crushing moment it was all over! The way he won her over though… take my freaking money. There are some hilariously moments in this book, just like with Tristan’s story, Elliott doesn’t have it easy !! And hilarity ensues a fair few times! I mean the passing out scene, the ducks and the birthday .. that ones my personal favourite. And can we just talk about Kathryn, actually all of Swan’s heroines from this series… great thanks … because they’re bloomin’ perfect, they kick ass, take no poop and stand their ground. They are heroines you want to have as friends, or grow up to be! Also **edit** I realise, a few days after my read (yep I’m still thinking about it- it’s that good) that I agreed with Elliott’s decision. You’ll know the one when you read it. And he sought advice, knowing who it was he was asking and that she knew who he was. There were glimpses albeit extremely brief ones into Tristan & Jameson’s lives now that they’re settled. And I can’t explain how much I crave to read more about Tristan’s family!! I’m so enamoured with the Miles brothers I never want their stories to end! Roll on Christopher who I have a sneaky suspicion will be the dark horse of the bunch. And then I want a spin off with Tristan’s sons!! .. no pressure T L Swan !! Elliott definitely came close to beating my favourite brother out of the top spot that’s for sure. But Tristan is still it for me. I’ll take Elliot on the side ;)
My favorite part of this book was how funny it was. Kate and Elliot really had funny chemistry and I chuckled to myself a lot. Also, I did like how certain plot points built on each other. And then, as the hopeless romantic I am, I did really love the whole sense of fate this book touches on. Something to note - this book is very long and sometimes I felt like it went on a bit more than necessary.
**Thank you NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for the ARC in exchange for an honest review ! The Miles High Club is my favorite series by TL Swan so I was super excited for the release of The Casanova. Let’s start with what I liked. First off, this book was FUNNY. The personas that Elliot and Kate made for their online dating profiles had me ROLLING. The ducks were hysterical, and Elliot’s commitment to getting the goat a girlfriend was super sweet and made me laugh. I also loved the chemistry that the two had, and the spicy scenes were 🔥🔥. Now for what I didn’t love… This book contained a few tropes that I really don’t like, including fake identity and love triangle. I just have a big problem with the emotional manipulation that comes along with the fake identity trope, and the inherent pseudo-infidelity that comes along with love triangles. I also really didn’t love the way Elliot handled the main “conflict” and it left me feeling kind of icky and betrayed. I did, however, like the way that the conflict was wrapped up and I truly enjoyed the ending. Overall I enjoyed the book, and Elliot was on his way to being my favorite Miles brother… until the conflict. I definitely think it’s worth a read, and I am excited for Christopher’s book.
