Description

What would you do if you were an innocent man entangled in a dark conspiracy plot that took everything away from you…except your soul?

Theo thought they'd forgotten about his gift his CO noticed when he was a young conscript, but destiny wouldn't let them use it. Instead of sending him to the front in Iraq, they had to send him home… but someone hadn't forgotten about him.

Ten years later… how could he know that his talent would change his destiny and strip him from his humanity? It was an unexpected offer, the job of a lifetime. Who wouldn't want to lead a team of computer experts on a top-secret project in the heart of Mexico?

But that job he was offered was a lure that would bring him there to this hell-on-earth place with his wife and his daughter…

They call themselves the “White Cells” and are hell-bent on exacting revenge on terrorists… that's why they have these secret camps where they recruit and train mercenaries to fight for their cause – the base where Theo is stuck too…

Follow Theo as he tries to survive the inhumane conditions of a training camp as he searches for the puzzle pieces that would help him give the solution to the greater-than-the-world conspiracy plot that landed him in a hell-on-earth camp in the Sierra Madre.

With a delicate blend of political fiction, military action, and his factual worldviews combined with a journalistic approach, author Pierre Rehov will take you on a unique journey filled with thrill and suspense.

In Beyond the Red Lines, nothing is what it seems…

Advance Praise

Read in one sitting. This is one of the best action - thrillers I have read. Fast paced page turner. If you like well created intrigue that holds onto you with both hands, then you need to read this book. My hope is that this is the beginning of a series that keeps. E on the edge of my chair. Waiting for another. Thank you, Pierre Rehov for one of the best books I've read in a long time.

Pierre Rehov created a thrilling and phycological story full of intrigue, mystery and drama. I really liked it! It was my first time reading one of his books and I must say that I am truly amazed with BEYOND RED LINES. Pierre’s writing is lyrical and complex and will leave you astonished with the darkness of some moments and you will see that the human being won’t take chances when it comes to survival.

Theo is without a doubt my favourite character, because he won’t give up, he keeps always fighting even when things are dark. It all started when he his hired for a mysterious organisation that he doesn’t know much about. However, he quickly finds out that the company doesn’t have good intentions. Theo keeps feeling that he’s not in control of his life, but is he a puppet in someone’s plans? He finds himself in the middle of a terrorist war and conspiracies and he must do everything to save the lives of his wife and daughter.

Pierre takes the reader into a 100% suspense mood and you never know what is going to happen in the next page. Don’t expect this book to be a simple thriller, because you will find so many different topics: love, family and exploitation. You can expect a roller coaster of emotions. It is well paced and masterly written. Believe me when I tell you that it is addictive, I couldn’t stop reading it.

I knew Rehov as a director of documentaries made in war zones. This is the first time I read one of his novels. "Beyond Red Lines" is an excellent story of espionage in the context of the fight against terrorism. The author knows what he is talking about and, even if it is a work of fiction, you can feel the reality of the field behind each line. A real page turner that I couldn't put down for three nights in a row. I will be on the lookout for anything this author publishes from now on. I can only recommend it with enthusiasm.

My thanks to NetGalley and publisher BooksGoSocial for the electronic copy.

This is a complex, multi-layered, action thriller, and very good it was too. I really enjoyed it for the most part, although I have to say that some historical references felt like mini-lectures in the first few chapters, but from then on it was intrigue all the way.

The reader is introduced to Theo Collin; a hapless conscript to the French Army who's terrified of violence. However, when he picks up a weapon he cannot help but to hit a target every time. It is a gift, one which would have taken him into an elite squad if he hadn't suffered an injury and been discharged. Ten years later and he's married to Juliette with a 6yr-okd daughter Katia. He's a computer scientist working for E C Tronics. He's offered a job of a lifetime at a secret location in Mexico - the catch being that no-one can know where he and his family are and they can't contact them for 2 years.
When doubts start to creep in whilst en route to the location he realises he's trapped and an incident on the way takes all hope away from him. Rather than working on computers, he faces once again his old CO, Captain Meyrek who is now Colonel in charge of this isolated camp, training mercenaries to fight terrorists. He's stripped of all humanity - Meyrek only wants him as a sniper but Theo refuses to shoot and his life becomes hell on earth.

Who's funding and directing these White Cells - producing a lawless army out of sight of the President and Congress?

This is intriguing and absorbing. Relatively fast-paced, especially in the second half of the book..

This is an awesome book. A book full of adventure, twists and turns. It keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout.
I literally couldn't put it down.

The author has an excellent command of the English language proven through his writing skills and ability to write an on the edge of your seat story.

The story is based around a computer expert who thinks he has gained a huge promotion. But the organisation is very mysterious. His wife and child are removed from him and this is when he descends into hell. The organisation thinks they can defeat international terrorism with his own army.

The rest your going to have to read for yourself.

It's seriously a great book.

Although I wasn't really in the mood for this when I read it, I enjoyed it overall. I suspect most seeking a good thriller will like this one. There's a heck of a lot of suspense, and lots going on, so it's never boring.

Thanks very much for the free review copy!!
