This is a good book for children, which shows simple text and colourful illustrations about some famous leaders, such as Rosa Parks, Greta Thunberg, Martin Luther King Jr., Malala Yousafzai, Harriet Tubman, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Mahatma Gandhi, and Corazon Aquino. Although the book is good and I enjoyed it, I didn't feel as though there was much information in it and it was more like a list of the leaders. I prefer the individual books from the Little People, Big Dreams series, as they contain more information about each person. However, this book could be a good stepping stone for a child, and they could then go on to read some of the other more in depth books about each of the different leaders that they are interested in.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Leaders by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara encapsulates the people featuring in their own Little People, Big Dreams book.
It discusses Rosa Parks, Greta Thunberg, Martin Luther King Jr, Harriet TubmanMalala Yousafzi, Ruth Nader Ginsberg, Mahatma Gandhi and Corazon Aquino.
The language is emotive and powerful and the illustrations are bright and fun.
The book can be used across all key stages and would be particularly relevant for PSHE lessons.

This book about Leaders of the world (past and present) which is part of the Little People Big Dreams series has beautiful illustrations and is very diverse. The colours are engaging and the text is short but informative, ideal for young minds wanting to learn whilst also being inspiring. It is diverse and engaging - I would look to buy for little ones in my life. Whilst it doesn't give a lot of information about the leaders mentioned it is a great starting point to spark interest and then maybe follow up with the any individuals books with more info that the child takes an interest in. It was would be appealing to girls and boys alike as all leaders are highlighted.

Disclosure : Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read in exchange for an honest review.

This is aimed at a younger audience than I expected (the little people big dreams books are split into 2 age groups) I prefer the books that are aimed at an older audience.

This introduces readers to some of the worlds greatest leaders - Rosa PArks, Greta Thunberg, Martin Luther King Jnr,, Harriet Tubman, Malala Youafzai, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Mahatma Ghandi and Corazon Aquino. BUT, it only tells them a one liner about why these are such amazing people. I prefer the older version of books which will go into a bit of detail about what people have done and the changes they they have made to the world.

This is good to get the names into the heads of younger readers, but once children reach an age where they're asking why and they want to know what people have achieved, then I would recommend the books for older children which will then go into a bit more detail.

Great book about leaders of the works - this story literally only mentions their names but they have all been previously mentioned in other books from this range (at least some of them have, but not sure if all)
Lovely little book with bold illustrations

A lovely book which introduces children to a diverse range of leaders from our world and even encourages them to become a leader themselves.
