I like to read books a couple chapters at a time, but I kept turning the page on this one. I read half of it at once and finished it up in two more sittings. (I would have read straight through but sometimes life gets in the way of a good book!) The takeaway here is that this is a fast-paced, action-packed story, so clear your calendar! ~ Amazon Review

~I like the mystery and intrigue of the story spanning from years and from the US to Italy. It's a great read following Ella as she discovers her family secrets. I've always loved a mystery.

There are a lot of characters and I found myself getting lost with who was who and who was related to who, but Ella, the main character moves it along. Reading book one, Buried Secrets would help with knowing all the characters. I read that one as well and loved the story so much I wanted to continue reading more about what happens to Ella and her family.

This one does not disappoint. The story goes back and forth between past and present but it's always clear where you are at and it leaves wonderful cliffhangers, making the reader want to read on.

I highly recommend this second book, One Last Secret, in the series as well as the first one, Buried Secrets. ~ Amazon Review

~Could Not Put This Down! This book definitely kept my attention! I read the whole thing in one sitting! Looking forward to the prequel. ~ Amazon Review

~Secrets! An Italian/American family is trying to trace their family tree. One of them Ella, has found secrets involving her Uncle Luca and they are very scary secrets, involving kidnapping and murder. A captivating story from beginning to end. I an ARC

Team member and highly recommend this story. ~ Amazon Review

~A suspenseful drama with family secrets at its core! The sequel is set two years after the first book. Ella returns to Italy with her mother and sister in tow to track down her biological grandmother who her great uncle tried to kill. The action and danger keep readers on the edge of their seats, with a need to keep turning the pages all the way to the climactic ending. ~ Amazon Review"

This is the second book in the Ella Perri mysteries; however, I don’t think it’s totally necessary to read the first book in the series to get an understanding of what all is going on.

Ella Perri unleashed a dark cloud when she sought out the secret that her family held for years. In 1939 Gianna Russo gave birth to a beautiful daughter; however, what she was unsure of was if she really gave birth to twins as the midwife only hand her one baby. She quickly learns of the deception of the people around her and vows to search for her child, no matter the costs.

In the present day Ella has the creeping sensation that she is being stalked. She believes that 2 years ago when she discovered the family secret in Italy, the dark presence followed her home and is trying to prevent her from looking for more answers.

I read this book in the span of a day as I just kept turning the pages. This is a wonderful book that is fast paced and action packed. I think the author does a wonderful job at character development and having you understand the history of the characters and why they are making the choices that they have made. This is a book that goes back and forth between the past and the present so you can understand how the events of the past are affecting the events of the present. The author does a good job at making it clear where you are in the story. Overall, I thought this was a wonderful story of family, love, friendship and how people will go to the ends of the earth to support the ones they love. I’ve heard the author is working on a prequel to the series and I cannot wait to read that one as well!

This a great book, I really enjoyed it! It’s an interesting mystery full of family secrets that kept me turning the pages! We are taken to the past sometimes, travel to Italy, and the story flows smoothly. I love the genealogy search angle, as I’m into that stuff! I like the characters, and the setting is somewhat gothic and very intriguing.

You know what? I found this book to be quite interesting but, at the same time, confusing. Had a hard time keeping all 0f the characters straight and kept feeling like I was missing something. So ( went to the reviews to see what others thought. Apparently, this is a follow-up to another of Ms Baccaro's books, and it was recommended by many to read the other one first. So I am going to do just that, even though I'm more than half-way through with this one. I think I will enjoy it so much more..

I love dual time narration so this book delivered on that level for me. The story kept me wanting more and to finish it as fast as possible because I couldn’t wait to see what happened.
