Description

Rebekah and Joseph are enjoying married life when a letter, addressed only to Joseph, arrives from Katie, telling of her pregnancy. Soon after, Rebekah learns that she, too, is with child; however, her difficult pregnancy is nothing like Katie’s idyllic one.

Tensions between Rebekah and her husband grow when she learns Joseph is keeping the correspondence going without her knowledge. Rebekah begins to lose faith in her marriage, and by the time her sickly father, Samuel, presents her with an heirloom cradle, she wonders if hers will be the only hands rocking it.

When Katie and her family arrive for a visit, Rebekah expects the worst but instead learns that lessons in love tend to occur in the most unexpected places.

Rebekah's Cradle is a sweet, clean story of Rebekah, a young married girl that is very insecure in her marriage to her husband Joseph, who loves her dearly. But Rebekah doesn't understand why her husband is writing letters to another girl that was interested in him in the past. She struggles through her pregnancy, and after having a difficult birth and almost loses her baby, she doesn't understand what is happening with her husband and the other girl, Katie. Until Katie and her husband come for a visit. She and Katie talks things out and she begins to understand thing better. A nice story, but not a long one.

Rebekah is pregnant with there first child and is having problems. She is bed ridden and struggles with the pregnancy. Her sister-in-law Katie is also having a child and writes a letter to Joseph not Rebekah. This letter brings lots of emotions for Rebekah and she pushes away her husband Joseph. This is a great book with lots of emotions for Rebekah such as her not trusting her husband, emotions on her motherhood skills and not trusting Katie because of things she did in the past. Great storyline.

Rebekah was talking to Thomas her younger brother.
Faith , Hope, and Love. Three gifts from God that I not only have forgotten, but took for granted.
I loved this quote from the book because it's a gentle reminder to be thankful for the many blessings that God has given us.
I really enjoyed this story and to me it is different than most Amish books. I love how the author has delved deeply into the Amish and shows
us that the Amish isn't that much different than us.
I am very happy with the character Rebekah and for certain things and feelings I relate to her very well..
This is a can't put down book and you'll fall in love with the characters as I did!
There are many wonderful Biblical passages that are in the book too. I especially liked that.
Lots of things going on in this book that will keep your attention for sure!
I highly recommend!
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Overall a nice Amish romance. Rebekah and her husband Joseph are going to have their first baby. Sadly though, Rebekah is anxious and jealous of an old girlfriend who keeps writing and emotional, when it should be a wonderful time for them. When their baby boy is born a month early, he is colicky and cannot drink her milk. This on top of everything causes so much tension in the house. With her father in poor health it adds another layer. More of a novella in length, which works actually, as it would be tiresome when at times I wanted to reach in and shake her. Oh well, I did enjoy it though and would recommend this one.
