The lie

T.M.Logan, one of the king's of stories featuring ordinary people finding themselves caught up in unexpected and very often dangerous situations returns with his latest addictive thriller.

This fast paced thriller is narrated predominantly from the perspective of Dr Andy Boyd who finds his life plunged into a living nightmare after one of the friends of his sixteen year old son Connor mysteriously disappears. Connor, his cousin Zac and their friends Emily, Drew and Olivia had been hanging out in the woods near Connor's home one night but after they went their separate ways only four of the teenagers had returned to their respective homes. Andy is horrified when it becomes apparent that Connor is the prime suspect in Emily's disappearance and is determined to uncover the truth and clear his son's name. A task that was made more complicated by Connor's refusal to talk about what had happened that night and cooperate with the police investigation. What secrets was Connor harbouring? Was he keeping quite to protect his cousin Zac? Why had did Adam's brother Rob suddenly appear to be ghosting him? Who knew the truth behind Emily's disappearance and what had actually happened to her? Was Connor as innocent as Andy and his wife Laura believed him to be or had their judgement been clouded by parental loyalty?

Scattered throughout the story was chapters that were written from the perspectives of various other characters including Connor, Emily and my favourite character Harriet who was Connor's highly intelligent, younger sister. Despite the fact that she was only twelve, her investigative skills put the so called professionals to shame but would her prowess as a amateur detective result in her own life being placed in jeopardy?

Omg,wow....just wow,I really really loved this captivating, fast paced, addictive page turner that had me hooked in and glued to my kindle from the first page. It's a extremely well written thriller that has a cast of vivid, realistic characters, some trustworthy, some not so trustworthy and a plot that keeps the reader guessing. Many of the chapters are short and snappy and end in a way that gives the reader a very bad case of just one more chapter syndrome. T.M.Logan has excelled his own very high standards of writing with this latest addition to his catalogue of addictive thrillers. Worth far more than five stars and very very highly recommended.

T.M Logan is fast becoming one of my favourite authors in this genre and this book did nothing to change that. I loved it, it was gripping and I couldnt put ti down, I read it in one sitting. It is fast paced and truly unpredictable leaving me breathless and on th eedge of my seat with my heart racing at times.
So well written with characters that you didnt know whether you could trust your insticts with or not, I didnt know who to trust or who to like, It was a whirlwind of a read and I cannot wait for their next book to come out. A really enjoyable 5 star read.

This was an intriguing thriller with family at its core. When sixteen year old Connor is given a midnight curfew for celebrating the end of his GCSEs it initially appears he stuck to it but events soon spiral out of control and he finds himself arrested and his parents find themselves lying to the police to protect him. When it soon becomes apparent he’s prime suspect in the disappearance of his missing teen friend his family are torn apart trying to get to the truth. Told primarily from the perspective of his dad we experience his worry, confusion, disbelief and determination to get to the truth. Connor is quite a mysterious character in this and it was interesting to see how the relationship between Connors dad and his own brother soon disintegrated under pressure. Most of all I really lived Connors quirky twelve year old sister Harriet who had more about her than any of the adults in this, she deserves another book in her own right! The story was compelling and the gradual revelations about the missing girl added some interesting twists and perspectives, overall it kept me gripped until the end. 9/10

Underlying Menace…
Underlying menace from the off in this fast paced, staccato suspense which keeps the reader gripped from first page throughout to denouement. With a well crafted cast of characters, a compelling premise, an immersive storyline and a realistic narrative this is a tense, one sit, absorbing suspense. Bravo!

Andy and his wife Laura are good parents, allowing their son to meet with friends as long as he sticks to his curfew. One night after completing his exams, Connor goes out to celebrate, promising to return for his curfew at midnight. When he misses the curfew, a series of events are set in motion that will change the lives of five families. Five teenagers entered the woods that night, but only four came out... Can Andy and Laura get to the bottom of the mystery before Connor pays dearly?

I was so excited when I got approved for an early read of #TheCurfew as I've devoured every other book that T. M. Logan has written and this one certainly lived up to expectations.

The mystery at the heart of the book was a brilliant drive for the story, and it's a difficult book to put down as you're constantly asking yourself "but what happens next?!". The characters were well-developed and I absolutely loved Harriet and the parts that were told from her perspective.

Another gripping and unputdownable thriller from the amazing T. M. Logan whose catalogue just gets better and better.

Wow what a rollercoaster this book has taken me on! I absolutely adore this author so have been completely excited and eagerly anticipating this one.

This is unlike any of Logan’s other books, but is equally as high standard as always. In fact, this is an author who gets better and better with every book.

We are introduced to Andy, Laura, Connor and Harry in this one. I have loved Harry, she is just the perfect little genius and quirky in all her own ways. Andy and Laura are the parents who would do anything for their children.

This is a book with an interesting plot, centred around a missing teen. There have been occasions of this one where my heart has literally been pounding. I have devoured page after page desperately wanting to find out where this was going.

I have been completely unable to predict the events of this one. This is an element I love about Logan’s books- they are completely unpredictable. This is a book that has literally transported me, I feel as though I have known the characters. Additionally, I feel as though I have watched the events play out.

This is interesting, intriguing and will make your heart pound. It is completely unpredictable and extremely well-written. This is definitely a book I recommend.

Page-turner.

I've not read TM Logan before but I will be remedying that immediately. The Curfew was fast-paced and so absorbing. Brilliantly plotted and written, this thriller had be on the edge of my seat as Andy and Laura tried to protect their son, Connor.

With a missing girl, and so many questions unravelled throughout, this comes highly recommended.

Thanks to Bonnier Books and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review.

I loved this book, I’ve read lots of T M Logan and enjoyed them all, and this was no exception. Lots of twists to keep me guessing right up to the end. I’d definitely recommend it

Andy and Laura try to be good parents to their 16-year-old son, Connor, and 12-year-old daughter, Harriet. But they find themselves lying to the police in order to cover for Connor, who missed his midnight curfew after partying with classmates, one of whom – Emily – didn’t come home.

Since five teenagers went into the woods that night, Andy and Laura aren’t the only ones who want to protect their child. And it seems that other parents are willing to point the finger at a scapegoat instead of telling the truth about what happened that night. But time is running out for Emily, and also for Connor.

This is T.M. Logan’s sixth thriller, and, although he has set the bar for himself at an almost unreachable height, it is, in my opinion, his best yet. The pace is spot on, with no repetitiveness and never a dull moment; the characters – good and bad – are all very well-developed, three-dimensional and believable, with some, such as Harriet and Toffee, being rather loveable.

With the recent surge in drink spiking, especially among today’s students in the UK, this book is timely, dealing with a topical issue. The author also raises a question every parent can relate to: how far would you go to protect your child?

I can see this novel being adapted into a very gripping drama for the screen. I can’t recommend The Curfew highly enough, but one caveat: clear your calendar before you start reading it because you won’t work, eat or sleep until you’ve finished it!

The Curfew by T. M. Logan

The curfew
Andy and Laura are good parents. They tell their son Connor that he can go out with friends to celebrate completing his exams, but he must be home by midnight.
The lie
When Connor misses his curfew, it sets off a series of events that will change the lives of five families forever.
The truth?
Because five teenagers went into the woods that night, but only four came out. And telling the truth might mean losing everything...I
Loved The Holiday , loved Trust Me , and I think love The Curfew as well .
T.M. Logan has the ability of grabbing you from the first page and taking you on a ride til the last.
With this one you can feel the ominous suspense building from the first chapter , and you can't quite shake off the feeling someone isn't being honest in their account , and some of the characters are not quite how they seem to be. Lots of twists , and a few shocks along the way.
Brilliant.

Nothing like a new thriller by T.M. Logan to put all of my plans on immediate hold! The story of a family and the teenager that seems to break his curfew kept me highly engaged. Loved it!

T.M.Logan does it again. This book sent shivers down my spine. My children are the same age as Connor and Harriet. Many an evening I’ve laid in bed making sure my son comes in. Worrying about what he could be up to and where he is.
Dr Andy Boyd and his wife Laura go through a parents worst ordeal. Connor was with a group of kids but one didn’t make it home. Connor is keeping quiet and the finger of suspicion points firmly at him. However, Andy knows his son couldn’t have done anything. Or could he?
You find yourself firmly rooting for the Boyd family who have a great dynamic. This was certainly a quick read as I devoured the pages at great speed. Bravo Tim. Another bestseller on your hands.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to see an arc

The Curfew is another fantastic book from the amazing T.M Logan. This was centred around an ordinary family Andy, Laura, Connor and Harriet, who find themselves in unthinkable circumstances and their search for the truth of just what happened when five teenagers went into the woods one night but only four came out. There were so many twists and turns in this book which had me crying out in surprise in some places and the final twist was something I did not see coming at all.
I highly recommend The Curfew.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bonnier Books UK for my ARC.
