Description

Kaida Galloway has dreamed about him all her life. Her mysterious stranger, a man who’s not real, yet knows everything about her—including the weird anomalies she’s dealt with since a teenager like her ability to manipulate water. When a letter arrives from a birth mother she’s never met, she jumps at the chance to get answers. Heading to Six Fates Island, she discovers she has two sisters who’ve, apparently, been waiting for her. They seem to think she’s a key to unlocking a centuries-old curse. Oh, and that she’s a witch. As if that wasn’t crazy enough, the man of her dreams is, in fact, flesh and blood. And their chemistry is creating some serious magic.

Destiny waits for no one...

Brady Meath’s childhood was steeped in island lore. One of his ancestors killed a Galloway during a witch trial, and for three-hundred years, the two households have been at odds. Legend states when three-by-three from each family are born, the spell that has riddled both lines with the inability to find and keep love can be broken—if they can join forces in performing fated tasks. Brady and his brothers never believed the myth. Until he comes face-to-face with the very woman who’s haunted him in sleep. And her powers. Now they’re in a race against the clock and fighting a brotherhood of hunters to fulfill their part or future generations are doomed. The first task belongs to Brady and Kaida, but Fate can only take them so far. Can love do the rest?

I received an advanced reader's copy of Bewitched (Fated Book 1) by Kelly Moran from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first book by Kelly Moran that I had read and I didn’t know what to expect. Happily, I was immediately hooked!

The world-building was easy to follow and engrossing from the start. From the origins of the Galloway curse and its ramifications over several centuries to the reunification of a family and acceptance that the world is much more interesting - and complicated - place than many main characters had thought, there is a lot to take in, but it’s a fun ride.

The plot moves swiftly, the characters pull you in, and the wordsmithing by Kelly Moran is simply gorgeous. Everything about Bewitched appealed to me. It was almost a surprise when I finished reading because I had been so caught up in the story.

I very much enjoyed Bewitched, am excited to have a new author to follow, and cannot wait to read the next book in the series by Kelly Moran.

It is fair to say I have a new favorite author! I just love the way Kelly Moran can build worlds and characters that feel real and yet otherworldly at the same time. I discovered this after rereading some Redwood Ridge books of hers.

Unlike RR, this is fantasy and involves witches and magick. I love the respect given to the history of the subject, and how it's just another aspect of who the women are (and not the entirety of their characters).

I really liked Brady, and his determination and strength. Kaida was harder to read but that also built as her bonds grew. Their romance made sense (not instalove or instalust, but sweet), they had chemistry, and I loved their history. I would have actually have liked just a little more of it before things really kicked off, in fact.

A little predictable in ways, but still a great read. The curse, brothers & sisters, and the way everything comes together really makes for an engaging and intriguing story! I can't wait for the next one in the series.

It's a cute witchy romance book. There some enemy turned friend, some dream work, some tasks to overcome. It was a quick read. I did enjoy it. I'd read the rest of the series.

(I will be posting on my good reads and my tik tok)

I was bewitched by this novel from chapter one.
What an amazing idea she came up with, and you can tell this author put her soul into it.

Follow the Galloway sisters and the Meath brothers on a journey that passes through 3 books (this is the first)
Follow them along daring adventures, magical love stories, and a fight like no other to protect one enough.

This book had my heart in my throat, it had me in tears, and had just enough spicy slow burn to keep you wanting more

This was sweet, enduring, heart felt and emotional. I’m not usually a fan of witch books, but I gave this one a try and I am soooo glad I did. This had me completely wrapped on their island. I loved the brothers, and of course the sisters. I can’t wait to see what happens next but guaranteed I will keep an active lookout for book 2.

I loved this author's Phantoms series about a group of paranormal investigators who have a TV show and investigate supposedly haunted houses (and find real ghosts in the process), so when I saw this paranormal romance I immediately jumped on it and am very happy I did.

We are immediately introduced to Kaida, who was adopted as a baby. After her adoptive parents die, she receives a letter that leads her to Six Fates Island where she discovers she has two sisters. She also finally starts to get answers to the unexplained paranormal phenomena that she has experienced ever since she was a child. It seems she is a member of the powerful Galloway witch family and was sent away at birth in order to protect her so that she and her sisters can unite as adults to break a curse that was laid upon her family. However, in order to break that curse, they will need to work together with the triplet Meath brothers who live next door. The Meaths were also cursed back in the 1700's when Kaida's ancestor was killed by the Meath patriarch, a fundamentalist minister with a pathological hatred for witches. Ever since, the Meaths and Galloways have been bitter enemies, have never found love, and have died young. Somehow, the Galloway sisters and Meath brothers must bridge this ancient rivalry and bring their families together.

The book is filled with action, witchcraft, and a beautiful love story between Kaida and Brady, the youngest Meath triplet, who immediately have a shock of recognition when they meet because they've been visiting each other in a dreamscape since they were children. This makes it easy and natural for them to form a powerful bond to complete their role in lifting the curse, and to fall in love in the process.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series and am hoping that since this first book is being re-released that means the second will soon follow as I don't want to wait. There was no cliffhanger in this book, but after you read it you'll definitely want the other Galloway sisters and Meath brothers' stories. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.

Kaida Galloway is looking for answers. When her adopted parents die, Kaida decides to return to her biological ancestral home to reconnect with whatever family is left. What she finds is unexpected - two sisters, a family feud and a magical inheritance. Kaida's always dismissed her own weird gifts, but when the boy she's been dreaming about for most of her life lives next door - the whole magical powers and curse thing seems much more real. Now Kaida and Brady have to work together to end the curse and bring balance between their families. Now if only they could get her sisters and his brothers on board,

This is a cute paranormal romance with good world building, well-rounded characters and a well drawn plot. Good for readers who like a little magic with their stories, but not overt violence. Excellent choice for fans of Nora Roberts.

Bewitched is the first book by Kelly Moran in the Fated series. It is about a young witch called Kaida Galloway. She sets out to find her roots in the town of Six Fates. Raised and adopted within the family, she always felt different. Different became worse when she came into her powers at 16 unable to control them. Her adoptive parents were supposed to fill her in on this other side of her but for some reason failed to do so.

Nevertheless, her Aunt Mara had made sure she would find her way back to Six Fates someday. Things soon get weirder as she comes face to face with ‘’the man of her dreams’’ Brady Meath. She had been dreaming and meeting Brady in her dreams for as long as she could remember. She is told that she, her sisters, and the Meath brothers are part of a destiny that will help lift a curse put on both families by her mother. The curse stated that both families would find no true love and neither would it last until ‘’Three by Three shall walk this earth’’ complete the three tasks and set them free.

At first glance, this story seems to be all about romance but it is also about a young girl on a journey to find belonging and acceptance. In order to do that she has to know more about her past in order to look forward to a future. The book has many surprising twists and turns that make for a great ending leading up to the second book in the Fated series. Nonetheless, the book stands alone with a great plot that readers can relate to. I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to an audience older than 16 as it contains graphic sexual scenes, violence, and profanity.

This book started off exciting and kept it going thru out the whole story. It had so many twists and turns. I was entertained. A good mystery which leaves you wanting more. So much action between relationship of the Galloway sisters and Meath brothers. This book has mystery, magic, cursers, witches, and love. Does remind me a little of Charmed whereas Kaida Galloway is sent away to protect her. Later, she meets her sisters and the man she been dreaming of for years. The book went at a good clip and flowed. No lags and kept you interested before long you finish the book. However, I did think the book ending was too short because I didn’t want to stop reading and can’t wait for the next from this author. This is a new author for me and was great. I will look forward to reading other books from her.

Kaida and Brady have been dreaming of each other since they were kids, neither knowing the other is actually real. When Kaida goes in search of her birth family, they finally discover each other in real life. This is the first in a series about two families who have been cursed together for 300, neither able to keep their loves, or their lives for very long, until their families are able to come together to break the curse.

I loved of this book. We meet Kaida's sisters, Ceara and Fiona, as well as Brady's brothers, Tristan and Riley. Ceara and Fiona have grown up with the Meath's, but they have all kept their distance due to their families histories. As Kaida learns that she has magic, she's also learning secrets of her family that she was never told. The Meath brothers also come to terms with the fact that magic is real and the sisters aren't as evil as they were brought up to believe.

Overall, this was a great start to a series that I'm very excited about!

A big thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the first in a new series. There is a curse, and an historic town with rival families. Ladies with a bit of magic, and guys who are rich but still work hard. I liked all the characters. Kaida and Brady have been dreaming of each other since they were kids. Interesting twist but still a fun story. 3.5 stars
