Description
Meeting your true love in a coma is not something Kat Parker expected. Now that she has woken back up, Kat must navigate high school while coping with the injuries from her accident. To Kat’s surprise, her pain medication helps her to return to her forbidden love at night.
Seven years ago, Kat’s father was murdered in Africa. Since then, she and her mother have been unable to move on from his tragic death. They believed, incorrectly, that moving to a small town in the mountains would solve all of their problems. Now, Kat must befriend bored teenagers who are not as innocent as they seem. Not to mention, Kat has caught the eye of Deryk, the town football star who can’t seem to get the hint that she isn’t interested.
By day, Kat is the new girl that everyone wants to meet. By night, she is in her ‘waiting room’ with Ian, her guardian lover. Ian must now guide Kat through harrowing challenges that force Kat to face the pain of her father’s death.
Kat is trying to heal from the pain of her past, repair her relationship with her mother, and find a way to be with her guardian boyfriend whom she isn’t even sure is real! Kat has to find a way to heal from the trauma of her father’s death before she loses everything.
